- On Thursday October 13th, 2022, my friend Jacob and I went out for the southbound run of the days sand train. All 4 engines on the roster were online due to the heavy tonnage in the consist and the slippery rail conditions that might become an issue with the wet rails and leaves.
Locations:
-Matthews in Wakefield
- Weeks in Wakefield
- Union Depot
- Jones Forest
- Old Wakefield Rd, Rochester
We then trekked over to District 2 because we heard that M427 was in Wells having some issues with power and that they added an SD70M from M426. We made it to Blackmore's in S. Berwick. Not long after them was a late 685 which sat in Dover waiting for this train. - Авто/Мото
I’m a lurker and I rarely, if ever, comment on this channel. My interest in locomotives lies in the sounds they make. For me, it’s all about the audio when I watch a video like this one. I love the combined noise these engines produce under load and at full throttle. That being said, If I had to pick my favorite 30-second excerpt of train audio on all of RUclips, I may choose from 0:15 to 0:45 in this video. What I hear in these thirty seconds is pure, raw, violent power in an absolutely beautiful cacophony. Thanks for this great upload.
I’m glad you enjoyed, thank you.
It’s so nice to see 503, I mean 1801 earning its keep after all these years.
Beautiful! Non-turbos in notch 8, good speed over jointed rail, a classic horn, and awesome filming spots and technique! Beautiful!
Is that Horn a P5A?? On the FURX 5509.
An Old Cast P5
Sweet. Really had a head of steam going on it too. I wonder what the track speed is on that sub.
When I saw The Conway Branch in the title I thought you meant Conway Scenic
Fuck. Yes.
Excellent video and sweet lashup! New subscriber here :)
thanks!
Glad to see you back man. Sick video
Gotta love that old cast p5. By far my most favorite horn
Great catches! Used to live near Wakefield.
Amazing! 🤩
Thank you!
Outstanding video! Loved it.
Sweet video!
Where was 3:55 and 7:04 and taken?
Union NH then Blackmores in North Berwick
How easy is this train to chase?
Pretty easy, they move pretty quick though, and just make sure you plan your shots if you haven’t been here because some places are far out of the way and you’ll miss others
