Come see us in Winchester Bay 🌊at Salmon Harbor RV park 🏞️ on the Coast of Oregon🌴 because we are nicknamed...... 🏄 Windy Bay!!😁 #davesandersstepdaughter
I windsurfed all over western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia) starting in 1985. I remember sailing in a snow squall and the water was WAY warmer than the air temp. My awesome wife was with me in our VW Westfalia for 30 years, and I sure hope you folks are together longer! Thankyou for the great videos!!
I remember when I took SCUBA diving lessons many years ago and had to wear a thick wetsuit. That thing was a workout to get into. I'll take snorkeling in warm water in my swim trunks. Thank you for another great video. Safe travels to you.
Washington coast has the rain forest up on the peninsula (like Forks where Twilight was filmed). So many diverse ecological systems, high plains, the alpine Cascades, Columbia River and Gorge, Wenatchee (Apple capital of the world) and some amazing vineyards. Hope you enjoyed your visit! Really enjoy the channel!!! There is no wrong or right, there is just life lived experientially!
Water temperature out there I read is 48 to 52 degrees year round .And I think Florida springs at 72 degrees is cold .I Love Florida. But it is truly beautiful out there .
Wetsuit hint: Mix 50/50 dish soap water in a spray bottle. Turn suit inside out and spray...slide on like a dream! Funny footnote, my friends and I are all certified cave divers, when we do this we leave a trail of bubbles behind us as we enter into the cave!
To clean the sludge out of your black water tank: As you are leaving for a road trip put a couple of 10 pound bags of crushed ice down your toilet. Driving down the road the ice sloshes around breaking up the sludge. After your drive, empty your tank of melted ice and sludge...
I love your channel. I enjoy the content... the surfing, hiking, biking, etc, but what I think I enjoy the most is the relationship between the two of you.
My goto coffee setup when camping (or just a lot of the time because it does decent cofee) is an Aerobie Aeropress. Its basically a syringe that pushes a column of air that forces the coffee through a small paper filter (or reusable metal one). The grounds, and filter, come out as a 2.5" diameter 'puck' so its very handy to dispose of compared to a percolator/cafiterre/pour over etc. Doesn't take up much space and you'd struggle to break one so should be good for a boat or RV.
This is my home. My kids have spent hours at Waikiki Beach, where you are surfing at Cape D. I've watched surfers there for years. Also there are really cool sea caves right before the lighthouse.
I learned how to scuba dive in the Seattle area the cold water definitely takes some adjustment. I also remember my first seal encounter. My dive partner and I were catching Dungeness crabs. I thought the seal was a black lab at first. Haha
Well guys I've been gone racing for a week or so in Daytona, pretty close to Sierra's home town, so I'm a little behind on the videos. I liked the surfing but it did look cold. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
You guys are in my territory now. Grew up in Northwest Oregon on the Columbia River in Rainier Oregon just across from Longview WA. Love this video and hope you guy do the 101 around the Olympic Penninsula. Port Angels, Forks and Hoods Channel. Use to take people scuba diving out of Port Angels years ago. The San Juans are so beautiful too and use to sail there in the summer. Friday Harbor had wonderful bluegrass festivals. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures and if you go down the Oregon Coast you will absolutely love it and some awesome surfing beaches there too. Always enjoy seeing where you are and the adventures you share. 😃
I live and surf up here in Washington, i always thought there would be a weird current at that spot with the columbia river dumping out? Guess not, ill have to give it a try
Did you stop at the Maritime Museum in Astoria? it’s actually pretty good, and they have a map showing the crazy number of shipwrecks right there at the mouth of the Columbia.
very nice vlog, I am from the area I would guess you may have seen a sea lion not a seal, either are possible, good to know the difference because male sea lions can become aggressive in the fall rut. Sea Lions will ride the swells in huge surf.
Billy love ur vids amazing Sierra so pretty love her style. An ur pup jet soooo cute. My dog needs a harness like jetteys. I feel there more stronger then collier. But love ur travels you both are beautiful inside an out. Hope ya hav wonderful life together b. Congrats up come wedding 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️😘
The surfing looked like fun. I'm curious as to what the water temp was. I personally would have loved some more shots of the scenery but I'm sure there is more to come when you guys set sail. --Jessica from Florida 🌞
Billy, your husband training seems to be going well. Doing the dishes, you didn’t take the bait on the “I told you so” and you complimented her surfing. Good job dude! ✌️
Living in the PNW is amazing. But it isn't cheap 😕 🙄. It's got the best surf and Mt. Everything outdoors a person could want. But warm water isn't a thing here. It's either chilly in the summer or darn cold any other time.
I wish you would flush the water hose for a few seconds at least before you start filling your supply tanks with fresh water. And I wish you guys had a decent camera to take still pics of all of the outrageous beauty scenery. You could probably create a market to sell the pics and help finance your adventures.
What did we like about this video? Nothing, the whole thing sucked start t...... just kidding. You guys are awesome and if there was something off it's just part of being human. And that's what we love about you, you are real. No bull, just honest people. And the best pup pup on YT.
Washington coast is NEVER warm..... can be 100 degrees 5 miles inland, you get to the beach and need a damn sweater! Can't imagine in lesser weather. This must have been late summer or fall? I'm on the dry (cold or extremely hot) side of the state. Keep up the good work, can't wait for the new boat.
Not uncommon for Harbor Seal to join in the fun of surfing and body surfing. Once had one go between my son and his friend. Looked out and saw 3 heads instead of 2. They only bite when they are scared or being territorial...typically not when they are frolicking about. Back in the day I would spend my whole summer getting in and out of a wetsuit, either SCUBA diving, or kayaking, or whitewater rafting. Welcome to the PNW.
You guys are lucky the white hats were going to give everyone $100,000 per year for 10years but the workers building your Seawind would quit working so they decided to wait until they are 62 then they get it all then. So you can borrow money from your parents, or aunts & uncles that are over 62. This will keep the endless summer going.
**Correction. We said this is Oregon in the video but it is actually Washington.** Sorry for the mistake!

The smile on Sierras face when the waves were carrying her to shore was excellent. The happiest she looked during the surfing section.
Come to bend oregon if you haven’t already you guys would love it
Sierra's grin on the surfboard, priceless!!!

I gave a thumbs up, way up for Sierra’s smiling while surfing-so nice and happy-so COOL!!!
Surfers are just nuts and only crazy people surf the Oregon and Washington State coast. Props!

Always been fun . Thanks

Huge plus bringing back the swag pics

Love the music. Reminds me of tunnels in Hawaii.
Hello Alice
You guys rock
Super cool kids! Stumbled on your channel causing videos of PNW surfing :-) Well done, enjoy the moments!

Let the potable water hydrant run for about 30 seconds to purge the line before filling your water tank.
In case anyone is looking to visit this campground it’s in Washington, not Oregon.
Great video, only thing wrong was it wasn't long enough :). Thanks for sharing.
Be sure to surf Carmel Beach at the end of Ocean Ave (go left a bit on Scenic)

@@jackiehartmansvlogs626 how are you doing Jackie?
Awesome session guys! Keep the surf content rolling!
How many more years before the new boats ready or even have you decided on what kind of boat you are going to get as we want to know
Another great vid 👍
Awesome!
Hello Jodi
Was that a look of fear or excitement when seal popped up ? My we suit might have gotten little tighter. 😉😂 Hugs from Texas 😎
Is the wedding the weekend of 18th. Have you gotten down payment for the camper? Wish my ship would come in soon.
Cool 😎 video 👍
Very Beautiful 💙💙👍👍
Another great video.
Out of curiosity….. when does the new boat arrive?
The surfing looked like fun. I'm curious as to what the water temp was. I personally would have loved some more shots of the scenery but I'm sure there is more to come when you guys set sail. --Jessica from Florida 🌞
Hello Jessica
About 50 most of the year
Love your video! One thing wrong-I’m not there!👌
Just Awesome 🆒🆒🆒🆒 🤠

Jetty💖
For waves, West Coast rules! For water temp, you cant beat East Coast- Florida!
Yes 🥰 hi jetty girl
F’ing Awesome video!!
Hey, Billy I am sorry, I thought hull #1 was yours. I thought Nick had said it was yours and Sierra's. :(
Is this Waikiki at Cape Disappointment or somewhere else?
how thick are your wetsuits and what's the water temp? and it would be great if you could start each episode with a date stamp for reference, thanks!
What was the temperature of the water?

Liked the vid. Quote of the day... Do Seals bite?" haha Only 100lbs blondes in seal like suits hahaha Love ya Sierra
Awesome! Algorithm Bump!

At least when I surfed Tamarack , Carlsbad I did not have a stupid looking checkerboard on the nose of my board . . . . . . . . . .
"..I prefer surfing in a bikini"; We prefer you surfing in a bikini too, Sierra, but 'kudos' for catching waves in your new arctic spacesuit!
Cape Disappointment isn't in Oregon. It's in Washington.
I have loved this series across the good old USA. Washington coast is definitely not Hawaii.
Do you wear hooded wetsuits and wetsuit hoods and wetsuit gloves and wetsuit boots for surfing

👍👍👍👍👍
Sierra knows when you see seals it's time to get out of the water
👍
Oregon...Washington?? i'm confused :)
They are in Washington, they made the correction
If it's any consolation, we prefer to see Sierra surfing in a bikini too! Dig that groovy surfing music!
You almost have to be a contortionist to put on a thick wetsuit by yourself.
With the right music, it could be a new dance. lol
Foil podcasts lol
Hello Laurie
beat it kooks
🐧🐧😂
We like you surfing in your bikini too🥰
I bet it was hard to paddle with your arms, but it you'd be freezing without it.
