- We call this Fancy Chicken Salad because of the dressing, grapes and pecans. It's a fresher and lightened-up version of classic chicken salad and it’s perfect for meal prep!

CHICKEN SALAD INGREDIENTS:
►1 lb cooked chicken breast (4 cups diced)
►2 cups seedless Red Grapes, halved
►1 cup (2-3 sticks) Celery, cut in half lengthwise then sliced
►1/2 cup Red Onion, finely chopped (1/2 of a small red onion)
►1 cup Pecans, toasted and coarsely chopped
DRESSING INGREDIENTS:
►1/2 cup mayo
►1/2 cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
►2 Tbsp lemon juice
►2 Tbsp dill, finely chopped
►1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
►1/2 tsp black pepper

I am not a big fan of grapes so I added red, green and orange bell peppers to the recipe as well as garlic. It was a big hit with my family.

To cut grapes take two small round lids place grapes in top of one lid cover with other lid take a serrated knife and slice the knife between the two lids and through the grapes just put enough grapes to fit on the lower lid

I love this salad, whether as a sandwich, on top of lettuce, in a wrap, even stuffed in a green pepper. The only substitution I make is I prefer Craisins instead of grapes. So good and perfect to pack for lunches!

Wonderful. Thank you so much Natasha 🙏🏻🙋🏻♂ Tip for cutting grapes / cherry tomatoes etc; Shallow side plate, put all the grapes on; another plate on top. Press firmly, but not too much as to crush the grapes. There will be a gap between the plates. Pass the sharp knife through slicing. All the grapes or Toms will be sliced in 1 single pass.
I just made this and it’s the best chicken salad I’ve ever had! I was skeptical I wouldn’t like it because it wasn’t sweet like Panera’s, but it is so good! The dill adds such a nice flavor.

Hello Natasha and family! Love all your videos. You asked for tips on an easy way to cut grapes in half. I have always used lids from containers. Take a lid (any size to accommodate the amount of grapes you are using) and place on cutting board, lip side up. Put grapes in lid. Put 2nd lid over top of grapes, lip side down. Place 1 hand firmly on the top. Use serrated knife and cut through opening between upper and lower lid. And you have just cut all your grapes in half. No mess!! Hope this helps. This is a Waldorf Salad! I love it and have had this multiple times. I also enjoy "Curry Chicken Salad" as well!
Original recipe calls for walnuts. I have a Diamond Walnut recipe book that was my mama's; I'm going to be 80 next month so you know how old that book is. LOL! Mom made that chicken salad all the time. Humm, think I will look it up in the AM.🍗🍇

I have made this chicken salad and it really is delicious, even my mother in law approved, who is a great cook!💕 I didn’t have any fresh dill, so I used a tablespoon or two of the Hidden Valley Dill packet in the dressing aisle and it worked like a charm!

Looks and sounds yummy 😋 Chicken salad is my all-time and but I've never had it this way. I have a Peppered Turkey salad that calls for grapes and celery. It has a ranch mayo dressing.

Great choice for a book club gathering. What book are you all reading? I would serve this over greens or in lettuce cups or in croissants or with regular thin bread to cut little sandwiches.
French Vanilla: when you serve the salad on a bed of lettuce then it’s nice to serve slices of banana bread with butter - Irish of course!☘️
