As an amateur this is very useful
Is this procedure works with this strain and/or the same plasmid only? Or this procedure can also works woth other strains and/or other plasmid too?

still loving the coloring book!
I’m a student worker and I’m trying to isolate the plasmid itself and we can’t seem to do it, I’m trying to find examples on line to see what part of it were messing up
Great video!

Does this plasmid give the bacteria the green fluorescent gene making them glow?
im pretty sure because pGLO is the plasmid that glows under UV light.
Yes
It contains the protein and the antibiotic resistance
does anyone know why the petri dish should be placed upside down in the last step?
probably to avoid condensation from dripping onto the bacteria?
@@mriaz7289 oh that makes so much sense. Thank you!
@@cleo7663 welcome!
Is the process the same for yeast?
Besides different growth media
I don't understand English. Im speake Arabic
Wat is Lb stand for in plate
Luria Broth. It’s a type of nutrient that helps the bacteria grow!
No results!!

Shoutout to everybody in Mr. Croteau's DNA Science class watching this
I hope it was just a display error and not a lab error at 03:31 when they said "transfer 250 microliters" but showed 520 microliters.
