I don't even care for having original version's i got a facsimile for detective comics and action comics because it's just cool having the first appearances of superman and batman the closest to the original books
My dad used to read comics back in the 60’s when he was a kid, being able to buy him facsimiles of Action Comics 1 and Superman 1 is an amazing gift for birthdays and Christmas

I LOVE that marvel and DC put these out, nearly every week now it seems. Image does them too occasionally, i just got invincible #1 facsimile last week. IT seems marvel and dc are just going through all the major key issues and just putting them out again, and i love it. Ive got half a shortbox of them already just from the past few months. I personally think DC's facsimiles are way better than marvels, DC's just feel like quality, marvels dont. But marvel has a quality and paper problem anyways, most marvel books other than spiderman and the couple big sellers, feel like they are gonna fall apart. In fact ive had issues of ghost rider fall apart.
i want these for so many comics its crazy. Where are the facsimile omnibus??? I would be ok without ads in an omnibus, but keep the printing correct it is gorgeous
Do you know if any facsimile editions have been printed on newsprint? Or are they all printed on that aweful glossy color-popping paper (which I hate)?
Yes... Reprinting them is the whole point. Sorry some of us don't have 2 mil to drop on paper. And thats in a good/decent condition. Facsimiles allow for collectors to actually gain books that would literally cost them a fortune to own. Now we get to read them without breaking the bank or destroying our credit just to get one. If anything bro, you're trash for just saying that.
Why would you call them trash? They usually only do the best and greatest comics in facsimiles. A normal reprint is just the 20 pages of story. A facsimile has the nostalgic adds and letters pages. But niether normal reprints nor facsimiles are trash. They are treasures.

The new standard for most printed comics are the glass paper. So that is what they are printed on.
