Just heard these guys speak this week. Very impressed with their content and ability to speak for hour non stop without notes and bs. They know their subject matter and do an excellent job speaking.
I am a senior officer on a ship. I ask one of my junior officers for something, anything, and the answer seems to always be "no". I offer to HELP and the answer is no. I totally don't understand.
I could probably easily explain that one to you, it’s because millennials and younger are very used to people not trusting them in any capacity. And letting them know that they’re essentially always going to be monitored by an overarching character in their life. They want to help themselves, they don’t want to help you, and they don’t want your help necessarily, because the attitude that many younger people get is one of frustrated “I’ve gotta teach you how to do this while I’m juggling my own life stressors”. Little to no autonomy combined with less reward for being essentially salaried due to technology, all while having some old school mentality trying to kick the can down the road?
@@Saixjacket As I have been "monitored" the entirety of my career, so with they, maybe more so, with technology. No autonomy? Yep, that's means they are "working" at a "job" No rewards? Tell me about it.
According to them The Gen Z is supposed to be so much better than us Millennials (not that I have anything against the Gen z kids) But whatever the media and older generations can kiss my you know what .I have nothing to prove to anyone ..maybe to myself and that’s it.
@E Are you stupid or something.?.....Oh my gosh I commented on this like 3 months ago and completely forgot about it and moved on .And then RUclips sends me an alert about someone like you replied to me ,talk about petty ..get a life loser ...be gone !!!!.
Of course everyone is different. But what you have to understand is that people act, behave, speak, react differently to things in life based on their lived experiences and the era they were born into. I myself in regards to economics, I grew up in an immigrant household. Both of my parents were extremely poor and had no financial knowledge. And these are things I never learned in college until I took the time to spend my free time to work towards my own financial future. Not many Gen Zs do that yet. I'm also a Gen Z who tends to lean more in the realm of libertarianism (I'd say I'm more socially liberal, yet economically conservative). Some other Gen Zs may be way more liberal because they're millennial siblings are very active in the Black Lives Matter movement, while other Gen Zs are more conservative in terms of economics because they like the idea of a free market. Although we all think different, we all have the same processes of developing our ideas. We are probably the first digital natives to be entirely raised in an era where technology was available in some shape or form. And because of the problems that have risen in the times of Gen Xers or Millennials, a lot of Gen Zs are now trying to find ways to prepare themselves for the future at a very young age. That's what the whole concept of generations exists.
Gen Z joining the workforce? From what I've seen all they wanna do is to be RUclipsrs, work online (from home) and spend most of their time on TikTok...

It shouldn’t be a crime to not want to go into an office or be your own boss. Working from home has helped so many people and why would you want to work for someone if you don’t share the same values?
I'm so amazed how positive they are! Not on negative thing! I've never sew someone explaining something with such positive energy

So, a man gives his child a job to talk about how to connect with children 😂🤦♂️. We are laughing at this.

I agree 😭
There is nothing wrong with working from home if your job can be completely done remotely.
