Dude! THANK YOU. I've played guitar my whole life and just fell in love with the bass because of Les and how there's a million guitar players and hardly any bass players. So I'm learning all my favourite songs. Appreciate the lesson.
Dude I know you mainly focus on Live Versions of songs, but if possible a bass lesson on Primus' cover of Have a Cigar on the Frettless would be fuckin awesome and greatly appreciated
Hey man! Greetings from Chile, I've discovered your channel not long ago; but have seen almost all of your vids, you are a really good teacher, you have a great technique and also have the patience for intermediate bass players (I have been slapping this thing since 16, I'm 22 now, but never discovered Les/Primus until around 2 years ago, that when I fell in love with Bass) Want to thank you for all the information you share; there is a really small bass playing community (at least in this genre of music, here in Latinoamerica everyone I know that play bass are Pastorious's followers, Wooten's wannabes, don't get me wrong, I'd love to be a Vic once in a while, and tons of jazz elitists) But here in the comment section you can find lots o' cool and different people. Im really thankful for your videos; it's easier than just playing bad written tabs, one last thing, Could you please do a video on John The Fisherman? There's a few live versions that sound awesome, and I really seem to struggle to change between slaps and chords. Primus is one of the bands I can never get tired of listening; Best regards; will be looking forward for your channel❤
1rst one i find who plays it like I do!! Good ears! I dont do the same fill in the guitar solo but the fill is hard to hear on the album and live its not always the same!
Les has a piccolo bass, but it’s not that far off from a normal bass. The scale length of the ct bass is 32, and he used regular bass strings not piccolo strings. If you string up a jaguar with 80 80 40 40 gauge strings you will be 90% to les’s bass sound
Excellent lesson, really appreciate your guidance!
You are a true master of this song and an expert teacher. This was extremely helpful. Thanks, man!

Hell yeah man, this was the best tutorial I found. Thanks!
Hey, I was just looking through covers of this!
God, imagine if Les was at '99?
He would of caused that fire instead of the chili peppers💀
Great job, easy to understand
Love how you have aperture in the backround
You deserve a lot more subscribers
i thought i accidently opened a critikal video at the same time of this one

You’re the best dude
Sick tee
There's a little fill he uses often at 5:18 on the Woodstock '94 version that I can't quite decipher.
Hey man do you have or could you do a tutorial of fish on by Primus I think that song is so cool
Nice 100% Electronica sticker
piccolo bass is a shorter scale and tuned higher, not more frets. this is a pretty great walk though of how to play this.
Yeah, but Les DOES use a piccolo bass (his CT bass is, anyway).

@@deadheadcentral2514 Is it the 32" scale that makes it a piccolo bass? I'm confused, because it looks and sounds exactly like a normal bass.
@@sketchesforyou8020 it is Les just uses super light gauge strings on all his basses
@@youraveragetanker1745 Ah, so that’s why he’s able to do the bend in Lee Van Cleef.
I love you
Nice shirt
Shake hands with beef?
Tommy the cat?
Your lucky you have big hands lol. Ik I need better technique but damn I wish I could do some of the stuff you can.
