just wanna say a thanks for making these videos man, your the reason why i get up to play bass every day. having full tutorials on my favourite primus songs keeps me coming back and they’re so damn rewarding to learn.
This song is the one I've struggled with the most by far. I have better success with Tommy the cat than this beast of a riff. For me its the necessity to mute the e string with your thumb, but mostly its the rapid transitioning between slapping and strumming. Ive been coming to this video for quite some time now, and seeing the bass-line in action amazes me evertime. Les' lines don't get the credit it deserves. Good job!
Imagine being this talented
Just takes practice and consistency.
It's more than 10 years I'm trying to get those fast thumb+strums; never managed, unless I get super tense and easily tired. You rock, mate
Same man, It's like if my thumb isn't long enough lmao
Practice slow at like 0.5x speed and work your way up. Just gotta build some stamina
Bridge is honestly the best part of the song
Filthly ass riff 🔥🔥
