I hope the comments don't put you off making these videos. I love that fact that you give a negative opinion and aren't afraid to challenge businesses when their food is over priced/ over hyped. I do agree that videos where you try the food in the establishment or nearby seem fairer and just make for better content because then we get to see the food how it is meant to be presented. I personally wouldn't mind if you filmed yourself eating it and then gave a review at the end if you felt uncomfortable reviewing in public/ near by.
I think that's not necessarily true, if businesses are allowing food to be taken out and on a delivery app and are being advertised as a product, then if they are a good product it really it should survive the journey - or at least be a factor considered by the business. For example during the pandemic a lot of businesses had to adapt their packaging and products in order to deliver great quality food in order to keep their business going. That should still translate today, people will not be returning customers if they receive a poor quality product. Not everyone will be eating at the establishment, so whether it has been delivered or eaten in the establishment - quality is quality, and Grace's review is more than valid.
I disagree with the other reviews tbh. If these businesses offer delivery/take away then it absolutely is fair to be reviewing it, how it endures delivery, how fresh it remains etc! Least we know what not to order via delivery 😂 much love Grace ❤
I'm afraid I do agree with the other comments regarding the fairness of these reviews, but I would like to say that one of my favourite genre of your videos that I don't believe you've done in a while is your "week of dinners"/"what I cooked for my husband/family this week" ones. I find those to be most enjoyable and comforting to watch. I do wish you the very best with your pregnancy and hope life will be kind to you, your husband and your baby boy.
yep i’ve watched your channel since bakery school days and i’m afraid i agree. please take all these comments with a pinch of salt and don’t stop what you’re doing but of course the coffee drink is gonna be watery, it’s not minus 1 degrees outside. Latte art won’t hold during a commute, and with the sandwich place your if there was a problem with Uber Eats and Deliveroo then it wasn’t the sandwich shops fault that you got the wrong order. this is intended as constructive criticism!!
Actually I disagree with the comments on the fairness of the reviews, if you have the option to take away / eat later it can be judged in that respect. And it’s not like grace never likes the take away products and always like the eat in products she is always true to her opinion.
Totally agree! If their products don't travel well or have to be eaten immediately then they shouldn't have delivery or take away options, that's on the restaurant not the customer
This is my forever comfort youtube channel, and I never comment but something's been feeling a bit off to me occasionally lately, in that I feel like it's a little bit unfair to judge some of these things when getting it delivered/taking it home rather than having it straight from the store. A lot of foods are never going to travel super well, so of course things like the little bear cake aren't going to look the same as if you got it in person (thought it did survive fairly well!). Likewise, the foam art on the matcha wouldn't survive travelling either as also foamed milk tends to "deflate" over time. It's also a bit unfair to taste test coffee drinks when you don't like coffee, so obviously don't enjoy them as much as someone else would! I'm sure you're well aware of all this, but it's frustrating to hear a negative reaction to something the business has no real control over!
I 100% agree with you. TBH, I've been finding the main channel a bit "off" overall these past couple months...much preferring her vlogs on Extra Grack!
this sums up my thoughts perfectly! though i understand it's not always possible timing/logistics-wise, i feel like with most of these small business/independent cafes enjoying the food/drink at the venue or shortly after buying is part of the overall "viral" experience, food freshness aside. hypothetically, you could get a michelin star chef to cook for you at a restaurant and then another day get the same chef to cook the exact same food except get it delivered to you. the experience would be very different even if the food quality is supposed to be the same standard on paper.
I get you but, the mousse bear, she didn’t complain about the way it looked but the way it tasted, which it should not taste like it’s off regardless if it’s travelled. And the matcha bear, as someone who works in a coffee shop as this is advertised with a huge layer of foam, yes it would deflated but latte and matcha art holds better than you’d think, sometimes I collect a near empty cup from a customer and their latte art is still visible, and again please understand she is a pregnant woman who might not be able to sit and stand around for hours on end to make these kinds of videos,
@@KateS1980 I've been finding them to be quite sterile and mundane as well recently. I mostly watch her weekly Extra Grack vlogs and the main channel back catalogue these days.
grace i love your videos so much and rejoice every time there’s a new one, so please take this all as loving and constructive criticism 💕 with these reviewing videos, i feel like quality over quantity would be better - like calling the places to see if they actually have what you want to review, doing the review directly afterwards so they’re not sitting around or getting ruined during delivery, rather than reviewing so many places at once and having it not be accurate. also it really doesn’t make sense to me at all to keep ordering coffee when you’ve said for years you don’t like it, because then of course the review isn’t going to be accurate at all! it feels unjust to the business but also like such a big waste of ingredients etc
Sweets a couple things latte art is very rarely done on to go orders, maybe if you request it & even in house you might have to request the art if they're super busy, same with the tiramisu drink if it's done in a pretty glass then the layers & thick cream & lady finger are worth it but there's no point when a lid is getting thrown on & it's shaken around. Also tiramisu is a coffee dessert, it's not super sweet & you have to order matcha sweetened if you want a sweet matcha otherwise you are getting a very earthy tea. The sleeping bear mousse seems to have different flavors but the most common one is Hungarian dark chocolate & has very little sugar so it's not meant to be sweet & may have an almond milk base, I did hear they have a milk chocolate with a caramel sponge so maybe that's a better fit for you & the matcha cake with the biscuit base is called an ice box biscuit they are intended to be soft. If you want a more enjoyable mouth feel to any dessert that's prepared for texture getting it when it's at its peak freshness is your best option so you might consider calling the cafe, asking questions & finding out the times these desserts are first prepared then picking them up right away to get the best experience
I feel like people forget that Grace was a bakery student…….which means she obviously has a passion for food and as someone with an interest in food, you are going to want to try things even if you didn’t like it before…. Love your videos❤❤❤❤

Hey Grace! I hope you're doing well ! I have a fun idea for a video you might find interesting. It’s really not fair to try baked goods hours later after they have been through a train journey. You need to at least take a bite so you experience it as fresh as possible.
These are both good points and ones I had not considered. I want to state I am not being critical of Grace, I am just suggesting she might have a better experience as well as we might get a better idea of the quality of the product.
You can’t have a foamed milk drink sit idle and endure the travel home in a take away bag and then be mad that there’s no foam left?! Foam is air, it doesn’t hold forever! The pattern is for when it’s freshly poured. Love love love your videos but this is needlessly and unfairly critical
Grace - I hope some of the negative comments to your commentary aren’t overwhelming. I think there’s something to reviewing foods after travel. Many of us have to eat to go. But, maybe to help bridge the gap - when you can do videos like the tacos here - where you can eat them in house. Then on other items, grab them all as/for takeaway and rate them based off how you like them even when traveling/taking home. I’d definitely second that if you don’t like coffee - it’s a bit unfair to dislike coffee things as a rating. 😅 I detest the taste of coffee; and don’t comment much at all if I try a coffee dessert b/c I know I don’t like it anyway haha. I love your content and think you’re a genuinely lovely person, but I don’t understand why you continually subject yourself to trying foods that you’ve established that you don’t enjoy? Surely you cannot provide an unbiased review to your viewers who maybe enjoy the flavour of coffee / porridge etc. Also at a time where your body is already vulnerable, it seems a strange to consume food that your body objects to. As other viewers have said, food will never taste as good after a delivery journey. Absolutely no hate intended, just seems like you’re doing a lot of review-style content which isn’t taking into account factors which may affect the reviews that you provide. It isn’t necessarily fair on those who produce the items. Anyway, take care of yourself and all the very best with your pregnancy.

I’ve never seen so many negative comments before on a grackle video!! The only comments that I agree with are ones saying about the price of products - would be interesting to see how much the items cost. Pastries from coffee shops and cafes are available to take away in most places…. So why should she need to eat them there and then, sometimes you do pick something up to eat later because you wanted it but wasn’t hungry to eat it at the time of purchase 🤷🏻♀️
I don”t like coffee as a drink but like coffee cake and coffee flavoured chocolates. I always go for a hot chocolate when I’m at a café or at theend of a meal 2hen eeryone 3lse is h@ving coffee.
It's not really fair to judge the hot drinks if you got it for take away unless you reviewed it within 5 minutes - no hot drinks hold the foam for more than a few mins
I disliked the creme brulee doughnut when I tried it recently too (I had Bread Ahead many years ago though and they were excellent). I don't know if they've changed or it's hit and miss but I was surprised that people queue and spend so much on them if the one I got was standard.
This video has me craving weird food for sure! 😂 But honestly, seeing giant snacks makes me feel like a kid again. It’s like a food theme park! 🎢 Which one was your fave? 🍩
Can I ask what brand of shoes you're wearing at the 3:17 mark please? I've seen women wearing them before in public but I'm too shy to ask. P.S. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement regarding thick cream cheese on bagels. It's not decadent, which is how I think it's intended to be. It's just, yuck.
I had the bread ahead creme brûlée doughnut, it was just ok. I had it really early on in the day and there was almost no queue so I’m pretty sure it’s just the standard. 🤷♀️
Grace, I have been watching your videos for years now and I just want you to know that you are amazing. You fill my world with so much hope, even on the toughest days. Just remember that there are loads of us that wait for your videos and watch them a hundred times over. ❤
I disagree with a lot of these comments. I feel your reviews are more than valid and fair. Quality is quality and if businesses are offering food to be delivered or taken away from the establishment that quality of the product should be factored in by the business still. If you order a takeaway that is meant to warm, you would expect it to be delivered warm and good businesses ensure this by the packaging etc. that they use, so why wouldn't you expect the same with other products. I love you review Grace so please keep it up :) xx
So glad to see you are still making videos, Grace, and happily doing it. It was a pleasure to see Honor also. Hope she is well. She's going to make the best "auntie"!
I don't know why all the grumpy comments! She absolutely loved half the items and was honest about the ones she didn't... couldn't be very interesting if she liked everything! 😂
Ufda, just thinking of it, my stomach feels like it weighs 20 lbs. Personally, I cannot digest more than a couple tablespoons of pb, it’s high in fat, fiber & protein. I do love a giant pretzel tho…
I think this is your third time reviewing Bread Ahead over the years and because of you I never bought anything from them, while I was visiting London. ;)
I'm getting real sick and tired of these types of videos, I have never commented before but at this point it's ridiuclous. Every review you do, you pick items you know you'll hate and end up wasting so much food/drink and spend £100s on it. Yeah it's your money but read the room, sorry, read the current crisis going on in the country?
grace please stop trying to like coffee, it's okay not to like things!!! also i agree with the other comments that it's not fair to judge food after so many hours, train ride etc... you even said you had better fresh donuts but how can you judge if its not fresh? anyway i miss the old videos like eating like a different decade etc, those were fun and you put loads of work into them :)
I hope you won't let the negative comments get you down. I'm sorry some of them are so harsh. Just remember that we can't control other people's opinions of us, but we can control the opinions we have of ourselves. Don't take harsh words to heart and just do your thing. ✌️&❤
The thing about living in London, is that it’s so expensive you spend all your money just living there. The only people who can spend on the viral stuff is people who are visiting and saved up for a holiday.
'You know ill eat a lot of things' Are the lot of things in the room with us right now 😂 also ik you didnt get it but why order the pb&j if you think it looks rank?
My ideal sandwich would be a toasted pumpernickel with mayo, sliced avocado, tomato, radish, spinach, cucumber. Add some everything bagel seasoning and I’m in heaven!
Was in london a couple of weeks ago for Taylor Swift and randomly got the creme brulee donut outside of Wembley--it was SO messy!! It was pretty good but oh my god I got so much sugar all over myself
I'm not mad at the PB&J error; because that Turkey Sammie looked so phat and juicy. The Egg Mayo wasn't to shabby looking either. I love a good sandwich🥪 and you can throw in a cup of soup for good measure. Yummy!
I’m going to guess that the very sweet people concerned over the review fairness are all Brits? It’s a legit concern, but I see most American channels review this way, and I think most Americans understand that some things don’t travel well. Also our obsession with delivery. And she may well have more American viewers. We also do like to be tougher on our businesses, as they are def tougher on us lol. but the idea of people genuinely concerned that the fresh versions of baked goods and coffees get their due, well that’s lovely too.

I enjoyed this video as always🙂↕️❤ I've read a lot of constructive criticism in the comments and I don't 100% agree with all of it...what I agree with though is you could stop ordering coffee drinks if you don't like coffee and get fragile items in store if they are very risky to get delivered. However guys, please consider that she is pregnant which probably causes her not wanting to wait and stand in line for ages and she's trying to find a good alternative so that we still get our videos!🩷 And second of all, she is a harsh critic, sure..but if a dessert tastes rank or gone off to her, it's the restaurants fault, not hers..if they still sell their cake at 2pm, it should still taste good, that's their responsibility. Not everyone who buys stuff at these places is going there right after opening, that would also not be a fair test, since it's unrealistic that most people walking buy and getting something are coming at 7am or so...

What does her body object to?
Love your videos! Smile when I see a new video
3:31 heytea is one of the most popular boba brands in asia, you should try it i like it a lot ☺
Love this video!!!💐 Thank you for sharing your honest opinions!❤
I don”t like coffee as a drink but like coffee cake and coffee flavoured chocolates. I always go for a hot chocolate when I’m at a café or at theend of a meal 2hen eeryone 3lse is h@ving coffee.
Hey, good excuse to try again with the PB/jelly sandwich! And I would love you to try other savoury ones too! ❤❤❤
its a little Soot Sprite!! so cute. from Spirited Away
It's not really fair to judge the hot drinks if you got it for take away unless you reviewed it within 5 minutes - no hot drinks hold the foam for more than a few mins
I love heytea (they have a NYC location) and hope you can try them soon!! Love your videos
You got a soot sprite (from Hayao Miyazaki movies like Totoro & Spirited Away) instead of Mike Wazowski 😊
the little bear was so cute but what a let down! the sandwiches looked amazing! cheers
I disliked the creme brulee doughnut when I tried it recently too (I had Bread Ahead many years ago though and they were excellent). I don't know if they've changed or it's hit and miss but I was surprised that people queue and spend so much on them if the one I got was standard.
I love how you're always VERY EXCITED for this video 😂❤
Grace I love your dungarees, where are they from?!
This video has me craving weird food for sure! 😂 But honestly, seeing giant snacks makes me feel like a kid again. It’s like a food theme park! 🎢 Which one was your fave? 🍩
I love these videos
Can I ask what brand of shoes you're wearing at the 3:17 mark please? I've seen women wearing them before in public but I'm too shy to ask.
P.S. I wholeheartedly agree with your statement regarding thick cream cheese on bagels. It's not decadent, which is how I think it's intended to be. It's just, yuck.
Birkenstock Boston clogs by the looks of it!
A surprised soot sprite so cute shame it didn't taste nice 😭
Loved the video! Really want a cinnamon roll now!
I wish I lived in london 😭😭😭
The tiramisu iced latte from Cup+Lid is amazing
I had the bread ahead creme brûlée doughnut, it was just ok. I had it really early on in the day and there was almost no queue so I’m pretty sure it’s just the standard. 🤷♀️
Grace, I have been watching your videos for years now and I just want you to know that you are amazing. You fill my world with so much hope, even on the toughest days. Just remember that there are loads of us that wait for your videos and watch them a hundred times over. ❤
seriously!
Thank you much love xx
Hi Grace. Love your channel. I was wondering if you had considered giving a ⭐️ rating when reviewing food? Just an idea 😊
try more sandwich places please :)
Finally got in early
Woah, the street where the giant cinnamon bun is located is so quaint looking!
I love you review Grace so please keep it up :)
xx
So glad to see you are still making videos, Grace, and happily doing it. It was a pleasure to see Honor also. Hope she is well. She's going to make the best "auntie"!
I don't know why all the grumpy comments! She absolutely loved half the items and was honest about the ones she didn't... couldn't be very interesting if she liked everything! 😂
is giant food the trend now? Not against a giant cinnamon roll but a giant PB&J, that's too much peanut butter.
Ufda, just thinking of it, my stomach feels like it weighs 20 lbs. Personally, I cannot digest more than a couple tablespoons of pb, it’s high in fat, fiber & protein. I do love a giant pretzel tho…
Too much peanut butter is not possible 😊
You are still the Internet champion of disapproving facial expressions. Your viewers are left with no misunderstanding of your distaste. Good job! 😊
I think this is your third time reviewing Bread Ahead over the years and because of you I never bought anything from them, while I was visiting London. ;)
I’ve had some of their bread before and liked it but I think they do have some duds, I guess all places do tbh
Absolutely this.
grace please stop trying to like coffee, it's okay not to like things!!! also i agree with the other comments that it's not fair to judge food after so many hours, train ride etc... you even said you had better fresh donuts but how can you judge if its not fresh? anyway i miss the old videos like eating like a different decade etc, those were fun and you put loads of work into them :)
Lovely video 👍🥰
I hope you won't let the negative comments get you down. I'm sorry some of them are so harsh. Just remember that we can't control other people's opinions of us, but we can control the opinions we have of ourselves. Don't take harsh words to heart and just do your thing. ✌️&❤
Nothing has ever gone viral in my small city & I feel very lucky!
The way she pulled apart that beautiful egg sandwich 😭
If i would life in London i would spend all my money for all the Deliciousness
The thing about living in London, is that it’s so expensive you spend all your money just living there. The only people who can spend on the viral stuff is people who are visiting and saved up for a holiday.
Me at 18:05: I'M SORRY WHAT?? PREGNANT? WHO'S PREGNANT?? LOL!! I had to rewind and use the CC to make sure I heard what I heard. Congratulations!!
Fascinated if you complain about getting the wrong items delivered or about the fact the item doesnt taste quite right (you said the bear tasted off).
'You know ill eat a lot of things'
Are the lot of things in the room with us right now 😂 also ik you didnt get it but why order the pb&j if you think it looks rank?
Can you do an apartment tour, I want to see how you live :)
you could try this video idea where ai controls what you eat in a day as a pregnant woman
Yummy!
As a veggie i would be fuming 😅

Never been so early ❤
I am also a total chocoholic!
That bear and soot sprite looked like quite the letdown.
As a Brit I am def tough on business!
I would love to see a video explaining English slang. Just so I can better understand certain things you say.
@AntonioSilva-v8y Stonkin,craggy,stuff like that
@AntonioSilva-v8y It was not an attack. Just would be neat to know what they mean
@AntonioSilva-v8y I meant when she says a pastry is all claggy in the mouth
@AntonioSilva-v8y yes
@@JenniferOrnduff
Meaning of claggy in English
thick and sticky: The soil in the garden was thick, claggy clay. feeling unpleasantly humid (= when the air feels wet and thick): The claggy weather in the west will clear to leave drier and brighter conditions. Thick, dense and heavy.
Bread ahead doughnuts are soo bad!
Instead of Mike it looks like you got one of the sprites from spirited away!
nooo that's not what a creme brulee donut should look like rip
Where was the bacon sandwich 😂
I find most bougie mousse au chocolat have a weird taste
Stop with the pregnancy excuse. No ind holds a gun to her head forcing her to make this type of video while pregnant. If her pregnancy impacts the video like that the answer is simple: don’t make the video. She chooses to
@@mariannetuite7411don’t watch if it bothers you so much. let her make her fun lil vids and move on, it really isn’t that big of a deal. no one is watching these under the guise she is a renowned food critic and should make all their choices based off her opinion… y’all cray
can you just order food you know you will like and review it properly?
That's not the point of reviwing things. This video is about seeing if viral things are overhyped. The answer is almost always yes.
Crumbl cookies are going viral and they're terrible. Every time I've had one they've been stale and flavorless lol.
🎉
This year you’ve probably spent more money wasting food in London than I’ve spent on monthly food shops 😂
who is the person in the thumbnail ( not grace)
Just someone random from a TikTok reviewing the bakery
i was not expecting the donut to look that gross but omg
What's the point anymore? You do all these reviews for years now and act/dislike most of the items, you don't like coffee yet you buy a tiaramasu inspired coffee?? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, jesus christ.
This was great, and the hate comments are uncalled for. The price of these products should be expected to travel or be delivered and maintain their quality. Anyone who watches frequently will know grace takes these things into consideration before commenting. Hope the comments don’t mean this is the last of these videos 💖💖
:)
