  • According to All Trails: Approx 0.3 Miles and takes and average of 10 minutes. (This is only if you do the loop around the main Seven Tubs Attraction Area) There is a full loop trail around the whole forest and surrounding area which I did, following the Yellow Blaze markings. You can do it within 30ish minutes if you're just going for a leisurely walk, but there are spots you will want to stop and just absorb the splendor of your surroundings! Trail is easy to follow but come Summer, will have some dense and overgrown stretches in the wooded areas. Summertime will be very busy and crowded after 10am, best time is first thing in the morning between 6am-10am.
    Facts:
Seven Tubs Recreation Area is a 400-acre site located in Plains Township, within the Pinchot State Forest. The main feature of the area is a stream called Wheelbarrow Run that flows through a ravine where a series of large potholes or “tubs” are gouged out of the underlying bedrock. The cascade of water has attracted visitors to the site for generations. Surrounding Wheelbarrow is a forest composed of plants and animals typical of northeastern Pennsylvania. Hiking trails lead to and around the Tubs area allowing visitors to enjoy the diverse natural life and hilly terrain of the area.
Seven Tubs Recreation Area is accessible by a spur trail for hiking only, no bikes. No, picnicking, camping or hunting permitted in Seven Tubs.

I liked seeing this from your perspective and thanks for mentioning me in your video. Maybe people will watch this and plan better bringing a bag to take their trash with them. I just love this area and this hike, such a pretty spot.

I agree that having a trash bin would be helpful, but there is no one to pick up / pay for trash pick-up in this area. We as people are supposed to be responsible and not leave trash on the land. Thank you for watching my video!

Beautiful waterfalls! Sad about the trash. Unfortunately it is like that in many trails in PA but mostly on short trails. I’ve noticed on longer trails and ones that are a little more remote that there is very little trash. Great video Darcy!

The trash was all around the Water areas where people are hanging out and eating or drinking for a period of time it seems, I can't stand it. But, this is a great place for an early morning walk that is close to where I live. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment Dan!

I have said it many times and I will say it again, human beings are both the highest and lowest forms of life on this planet... Another excellent video Darcy.

It is amazing how vast this seems from the ground, and yet it is only seven minutes from a Lowe's Home Improvement store! We are fortunate that the powers that be leave at least a sliver of nature to enjoy. Great hike and thanks for showing us a new place to hike!

It's such a neat place, why people are so careless in a place that they are enjoying makes no sense to me! I love that you get a little bit of everything on this trail too!

I haven't been back to PA in years - so it is always so fun and nostalgic to watch your hikes. I'm glad I found your channel!
Don't worry about the tissues - they are biodegradable - but do pick up the plastic! I used to have a younger dog and we'd take a daily walk. I'd bring a bag to collect (especially) nip bottles. I could walk the same route each day and still find more nip bottles. Humans can be pathetic.

Thanks for the comment! The tissues were insane, I was like nope.. Not touching that! But in general, this place is pretty magical!

Don't touch the tissues or any napkins! I made that mistake once and almost picked up someone's 💩
Glad you were picking up some of the trash! Every little bit that we do helps. I get it that sometimes stuff falls out and you don't know, but there is some of it that is just tossed. I really get upset with seeing the dog poop bags on the trail!
    Beautiful place out there😁Nice hike!

Hopefully those that watch this video and visit will be more aware and take a small bag with them or actually carry out their own trash. Thanks for the support and leaving a comment!

Such a beautiful area and people leave trash. Sucks. Whatever happened to "pack it in, pack it out" or "take only pictures and leave only footprints"
    Thanks for taking us along!

All the trash is around the main attraction areas too... It still is a great place to walk and enjoy nature!
