I miss Mrs Minnie, Benoit Mississippi. She lived 4 houses from ours and she was a grandma to 2 little ones. On a hot delta day my sister was backing out our driveway and noticed Mrs Minnie and her grandkids walking up the gravel road, grandkids were barefoot. My sister asked if they wanted a ride , they were walking 2 miles to the only store there. From then on anytime Minnie wanted to go to the store she’d walk to our house and ask “ y’all goin to Bee-noit “? lol one of us would always answer yes ma’am and give her a lift to and from. She felt like a grandma to us too
This story touched my heart deaply. Im 59 now but I became a widow at 51. I was never blessed with children or nieces or nephews. I do believe in angels . Thank you for telling this story and telling it like no one else could. God bless you.❤
