Your writing has become more vivid as your guided imagery expands ever more sensually. Your lexicon continues to intrigue. I got quite a chuckle over ‘ungraceful plop’ having seen quite a few fish do such, and the power outage makes me so grateful that my September finally ended! I grew up with noon- and 5PM-sirens, but all our old downtown churches did peel their bells back in the ‘70s on-hours. Keep flowing and growing as you are. 🕊️💕
Didn’t know what to expect. Thoughts of Quasimodo and Esmeralda. But no a soft really soft vocalize. Brush stroke on a cymbal that’s a great one. On the back of some brushes are a metal ring used to pull the brush from it’s canister if you take that ring and move it from the bell of the cymbal to the outer edge it’s like a dulcimer harp like Ching. What a beautiful array of images. I’ve been using some calm my dog videos to calm down an over tired terrier and a few time I too needed some mellowing and put on one of yours- she slept, I smiled. Makes me want to fire up fireplace but it’s still too warm for that. You even make the violence of the storm as sensually calm. Simply rapturous story. I’m having a moment of contented resignation thank you!
Haha-- I have a habit if looking at old stone churches and abandoned lighthouses and bell towers for sale in need of repair. I suppose this story is what I would do with them if given the time and means (and desire to leave the ease of my life in a city). Not quite ready for my mini-fire but definitely have the curry on the stove heating the place up. Those cymbal variations are some of my favourite sounds.
I wonder if your sleep stories prevent rumination & possibly nightmares/ night terrors...that's my theory, be nice if it could be proven with sleep studies. I fell asleep quickly, slept peacefully without wakening & woke up refreshed as I always do if I listen to your sleep stories, thank you Michelle.

The walk around the village reminiscing on my happy days through the innocence of a child's play, the sight of the water mountains and autumn leaves in every perfect hue. I loved and absolutely would have picked the adorable quirky corn candles even if more traditional ones were around. That's just more fun. How you made everything feel warm and inviting. Even how you made my dreamy power failure a gorgeous reality. My lantern and candles the atmosphere inside the tower even the beautiful way it became a home. I can't believe you came up with such beauty from my simple idea. This was the greatest gift I've ever received and everybody gets to share. Again thank you so much. You are so beyond what I deserve.

It was a lovely story that encourages us to see the beautify in creatively repurposed buildings, and, that such a change can be a good.
