If wearing shoes with laces then use one or both laces to measure the fish on length and width. Most shoe laces are at least 21 inches long so tie the two laces together and then lay along the length and then tie a knot as close to the length and then go around the widest part of fish and tie a second knot. There is a formula you can Google that will help determine the weight. Can also lay fish along side of fishing rod and note where the fish reaches then measure the rod when you can get a tape measure.
