To those who have the filming of this show, ie a dvd version,, I'm curious, do they end with a curtain cal and if they do is it to this song?I just think that would be a great way to end this show. Either way, it won't stop me from watching this!!!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!
+Tom Adams Cause Neo aint Talent...He's just he guy in the neighborhood..To me they've stolen the industry and are saturating it with crap!!!!! I know talent beyond talent and I have to be 'HONEST". These kids don't have it or are missing something "much".
Neo has a great voice , but the creativity of music and the standards of it have declined ammensly since the 80's . Pop Culture has become mega shallow to the point where all it takes to have a hit is a catchy beat and a good catch lyric and it's a hit .
MaskedMan66 nope. It was perfect and it wasn't a miscast. She did her thing and broke another ceiling and it made so much more sense to have a female play The Wiz then a man .
Stephanie should not have been so involved as she did but I guess she had to because of her role....They messed the songs up and that's the truth to some degree....I just can't get to like this stage version...There individual talent doesn't carry the play to where it needed to go...and it makes me angry to see what potential of this play go right out the window on such a production call.
+Christopher Jones I don't think Stephanie was that much involved in the production, it seems beyond her aunt em role, she simply gave Shanice some advice. It's not like she was the creator of the wiz and has to supervise the show. And they updated the songs, gave them a newer fresh sound that fits todays standards of music as opposed to the jazzy funk type sound the 70's version had going on. I think there are some places it could have been improved, but overall I think we can all agree it was a huge step up from the film
