Even if indian cites just focus on efficient solid waste management and clearing haphazard wires they will exponentially look nicer.
totally agree.
Just that and rebuilding old depleted buildings ..
Yahh I totally agree with you
@Akarsh2008no advertising market growing faster and give huge money to building or owner specially banner
@Akarsh2008no you can't widen all streets to 40ft land mass nhi hai utha 20ft sufficient hai streets k liye 😊
What we need is
1) waste management
2) pollution management
3) population management
4) Good Govt
5) Serious compulsory Planning Law so every Engineer and develop follow this rule

We need good citizens too

Replanning city is very tough as i live in banglore here only tunnel road is costing around rs 75000cr so replanning city may cost billions of dollars,,, but the best solution is developing of tier 2 and tier 3 cities with good grid patters and shifting industries and population to tier 2 and tier 3 city
Indian tier 3 cities may don't have that much issues while developing it.
Just select a city where there is nice rainfall and water resources and your selection will win.
Patna is tier 1 city bro
@Akarsh2008 it's oldest city and size is big
money was never the problem for a country
Look shanghai a d shenzhen of China they we're 90% completed by the 2010 when China china economy was just 5 trillion
Actually india missed the era of robust INFRASTRUCTURE of 1980-90 where every country was rapidly building new cities like China, korea, Japan, singapore and UAE, and there's very little chance that we can make a perfect fully planned city of about 500km sq in any future

So only 6% of Indian population will live in smart cities 😢

Dholera is a failed project ?? No smart city in this world ever be a failed project @Akarsh2008
@Akarsh2008 No, it's not. It just takes time. Like Chandigarh. Remember, China being autocratic can do it 2-3x faster than us. That's why Chandigarh took a long time to become succesful,
It won't be possible for India if don't build cities from scratch, like we are doing with Gift city. Though Hyderabad Hitech can be a model of how we can turn old cities to new, but upgrading old to new is more expensive in most cases than brand new.
That's what I was thinking..!!!! Making Greenfield cities is the only and comparatively cheap option.....
I fully support the building ofnnew cities. Every developed country became developed on the backs of good cities.
Old City can easily be converted into Modern just need to better waste management and better infrastructure upgrades, example is varansi though some parts of City is bad due to waste
Hyderabad's old city still remains old. Hitech city is a new city completely built from scratch and not related to old city by any means. Although it is a great start by the government but somebody must do something to improve the old city. I'm giving Hyderabad as an example and all major metro cities comes under this category as well especially Mumbai and Bengaluru.
No no no
India can learn from Singapore in urban City planning.
India must take inspiration from East Asia, Singapore and Europe.
India doesn’t need to “learn”. It needs to “start” doing city planning. Any noob city planning will also be better than our current unplanned city.
@@SiddharthRaiyani Indian civil engineers when designing city streets don't give a damn about implementing some of the most basic concept of dedicated left / right turn lanes and associated traffic lights which have been a concept since the 1920s-1930s. No construction should be allowed without design and engineering done by professional engineers. This will improve appearance of cities, quality of buildings, sustainability, and reduce unemployment
Bro just finished watching 4 of your videos today and they all are extremely good suggestion.
Removing Municipal Corporation from Road planning will bring down corruption drastically......slums are a political game, very true........keep up the good work. Make Indians more informed.
The government needs to build new smart cities adjacent to our tier 1 cities, so that the people who already live in those can move to the newly built efficient city after seeing the benefits it provides
Ranchi has got a 3 Storey Hawker Market in one of the busiest markets. The market has got many hollow bandstands, allotted to each hawker, over which he/she displays their shop during daytime and then lock it up inside the bandstand while closing the shop. Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi is also a better example of old City redevelopment.
I think Hyderabad has seen exceptional development especially Hitech city.Very well planed and efficient however there is also problem of Drainage but overall it is better
And the rest of old Hyderabad lives in mud
In Udaipur's old city part municipal tried the same but this time the residents created opposition cuz they don't like to travel this much on daily on foot despite providing e-riksha services

We as Indians have to change first, otherwise no change will take place. First fix government schools
Hats off to the narrator, for speaking out the raw truths.

The cost of to rebuild will skyrocket 😢😢😢
I recommend your thoughts
I appreciate your stupidity.
It's better to do that, all over the world ppl call our country as dirty looking cities (especially our cities architectures)
Paisa kaun dega? Tera baap?
Indian Government should Introduce some strict laws for Cars Holder... For ex-Nowadays every person who is earning good goes to office by Car even when he/she is single.... So government should make rules to prevent traffic and introduce many good public transport like Buses...... And other step to develop Our country on wider level is to make Smart and Greenfield Cities and many as possible cause those cities will automatically remove burden from cities like Mumbai, Banglore, Delhi and Gurugram cause people will approach cities which are nearer from their Home town.... So making new planned Cities on some Rapid Speed is the only Option... India should make minimum 20 Smart, world class and fully working cities in upcoming next 20-25 years....
First improve public transport, they are in deteriorating stage
Jab tak tier 2 & 3 cities ko develop nahi kiya jayega aur illegal immigrants ko nahi bahar kiya jayega tab tak purane cities ko replan karna bahut mushkil hai...
Old cities must have their property prices fall by depopulation. Move industries out of the cities and drive down the traffic. Have government and corporations sweep in and buy the properties for junk prices. Only then can renewal happen.
Cruel thinking.
This is not how development is done.
Old areas/slums have higher fsi than posh area which has potential to promote the area by attracting developers.

Urban city planning or re-planning requires a different skillset that none of our govt agencies have. This is a critical area that both central & state govt should take up soon in a systematic way.
This issue of unplanned urban development was neglected by the previous ruling governments. Kudos to the BJP for giving more focus towards this issue. Keep the urban planning related content coming.

Very well researched video. You said things which many do not dare to speak on social platforms. What we need is a strong political will power, without which progress seems difficult.
#AskPT Is there no firm in India that works to put overhead wires underground? And if there is such a firm, then why don't the authorities of many of our cities hire such firms to put the overhead wires underground? these overhead wires appear like spider webs in our cities and spoil the aesthetics of the city.
He has covered this topic multiple times in his videos,it's because it's very costly also the houses will have to be redesigned for underground wiring to go into houses, moreover the roads are broken and build multiple times so it will effect the wiring,in conclusion India is not ready for this, but even then the govt is doing it in newly planned areas like gift city.
Ive always wondered about this too, turns out its very hard to convert overhead wires underground for massive residential places. Its better to do underground wires for new cities.

For your kind information London isn’t old as delhi it was rebuilt from start after the world war 2
i never understood why govt didnt just ban traffic from entering market areas, i mean just one look at sarojini nagar market in delhi, where's something like rajouri garden or tilak nagar market in comparison? both unpleasant, unnecessarily and irritably noisier, more pollutive unlike the calm, collected and peaceful area that is sarojini nagar market. these "mafias" if any, are truly the detriment of cities because they only hurt themselves by not letting govt implement better policies.
There's something called local govt full of illiterate & uneducated goons..which only collect water & land tax.
First ban "two wheelers" bcoz streets are congested, compair europes streets or dubai
Impossible, many middle class people in india commute by 2 wheelers
In our area theres was plan to run govt buses but due to disagreement of pvt bus conductors, govt didn't implement this as they don't wanna lose vote bank. Normal people are facing crowded limited pvt buses now

Playing city skylines really help to understand about city planning
Step 1 : start from ground
1: remove beggars and slums
2: cleanliness is the major important thing (penalty for those who trash roads) - dustbins should be there in every 1000 m
3: the public washrooms should be available in every 7 km
4: replace auto and rikshawalas to taxis and e rickshaws
5: 2 child policy should be strict
6: govt should create jobs in cleanliness committee (beggars can be taught to clean )
7: planned transportation should be done step by step, replace Indian railways to intercity fast metros- like Switzerland)
8: trams and new busses
9: artificial rains can reduce pollution- solar panel is good environmental solution
10: work life balance and health insurance should be mandate
Sabse pahle electric pole aur wires ko under ground karo. Saare naale ke upar road construction karo. Multilevel parking banao aur roads ko wide karo
I don't think ki existing city ka kuch ho sakta hai, jayda chua toh ye protest, politicians, human rights wale aa jayenge. Puri new planned city from scratch se hi banani padegi proper strict laws ke saath taki encroachment na ho sake
Best solution for good cities like foreign develop new and move population slowly slowly by creating work facility and then free a space in cities like delhi and make it greener by park and devloping good infrastructures bu it will take time now to be there
Replanning is impossible, better to build new smart cities
Yes
mostly this is what i think when i think about my country
At least make wires underground, remove encroachment, remove hawkers, stop parking in unauthorised place, clean footpaths will be a lot
And make bypass for trucks and vehicles who don't need to enter the city can use the bypass and remove unnecessary vehicles from city roads
hawkers matlab?
The main problem is politics, the authority of development of cities should be given to experts
Smart city is biggest jhunjhuna.
Mic change hua han kya sir
keeping other things aside great video❤
Mumbai and 😂😂😂 Shanghai not even in dreams.
Only option, move to a green field planned cities, old cities are good for vibes not for living
Bahut hi kadva sach hai. Sab bahut achche aur hard hitting video. This should be shown to as many w as possible
Underground wires, strict Traffic rules, make small streets pedestrian, one way roads, discourage new development in already congested area, clean streets and make hawking illegal, nice waste management
by solving these small things our city problem will be 90% solved
very nice
Har ek state ke rural area mai ek new mega city plan karni chahiye government ko
main problem is over population according to gdp its so high in comparison to China
Just give us good big footpath to walk upon...
Good waste management...
Good public spaces with no vehicles
And good public transportation..
Also, Please make people follow traffic rules...It is insane..
Indian Cities should made CBDs out of Cities and 50km away from Airport so we can make Skyscrapers
Why don't we build artificial island and make a city and settle half of our population over their, in this way our agricultural land will be intact create more job opportunity... Or create a new city in barren land.. where we can settle millions, water can be easily provided by long canals...

As shown in the cover photo the land must be distributed into green cover for others and tall buildings for human
good work keep it up
Great video 👍
Aap ne jo Hawkers / Thela ka baat kiya, mai usse fully agree nahi karta.
Aap sabko nahi hata pao ge.
Insted, Thela/Food Truck ke liye spaces phele se plan karna chahiye, har 100- 200m distance par,
taa ki Foot Path / Road par kisi ko Thela lagane ka zarurat naa pare.
Food Trucks bahut convenient hota hai, both buyer ke liye aur seller ke liye bhi, kyu ki agar uska buisness ek purticular area me nahi chal raha because of low demand to he/she can move to another place instantly.
We should not try to ban economic activity, we just need to Plan it properly, taa congestion na ho.
