Implosions like this don't happen without help, and given the second Red Bull seat's long-established tendency to chew up and spit out perfectly good drivers - Albon and Gasly - I'm inclined to believe more of the blame lies with Red Bull's hair-trigger cars than anything else. @PhilippensTube 11 hours ago A bit sad for Yuki if they put Lawson in the Red Bull instead of him. Not a vote of confidence. 595 you made your bot account 8 hours ago.
Yuki is effectively a pay driver in the sense that Honda want him in a car. RBR lose Honda after next season so Yuki would not be in their future. Hopefully he can replace Stroll.
Lawson has talent, but considering him over Yuki is a slap in the face. I don’t understand why or how RB justifies treating certain drivers this way as the criteria seems to be arbitrary or whoever can pay more. And that’s not conducive to being competitive at the front.
If I had to speculate then I guess they maybe want to have at least one proven talent in their second team in order to ensure that is stays valuable, but yeah putting in Liam over Yuki would be pretty unfair right now, granted so is keeping Perez and letting both Liam and Yuki on the sideline.
They don't want to sign Yuki to the senior team long term because as soon as the Honda engine deal is done so is the bulk of his financial backing. It sucks but it's just the way it is unfortunately.
I see multiple replies about Honda ties being the reason, and honestly that sounds more like an RB fumble than it is a reason to push Yuki to the side. Because Honda was RB’s best engine, Yuki’s situation would’ve improved negotiations between the team and the supplier and you’d get to keep talent in house. Throwing that all away to keep the sponsorship for a driver focusing on one GP (Checo) then giving the seat to the less experienced junior teammate just never made sense financially or competitively. I understand the “logic” but reject it
Unfortunately for Tsunoda, he seems to have just become Red Bull's benchmark for future drivers. They know the level he's at so they can evaluate others next to him and decide what to do with them
Yuki's inability to deliver the greatest feedback for Red Bull is immaterial because Horner stated they never listened to Checo's feedback in the first place.
Yuki not being able to provide the best feedback for Red Bull is moot considering that Horner admitted they never listened to Checo's feedback to begin with.
And it's funny because VCARB keep talking about how much his feedback keeps improving and it was a reason for their turnaround in the Las Vegas weekend.
My opinion obviously, but there are so many things to consider. 1 How much longer will max stay at RB? if they know something we don't, then that would make a big difference in their choice for the next driver for the coming years. They might not want to give him a chance since they want the best of the best in that seat. (Sorry Sergio) 2 Lawson isn't too far behind Yuki and he's a rookie 3 Gasly was the better driver when they were together and he did not cut it at RB, so why would Yuki? 4 His temperment has not been the best under pressure and has had anger issues, they have gotten better for sure, but it's just part of his personality that RB might not like 5 Might just have him there for the Honda relationship and aren't seriously considering him for an RB seat 6 I really don't see him comparing to any of the other 2nd drivers. Oscar, Carlos, Hamilton (at this point) and RB is the top team. Why settle for anything less? At the end of the day, I feel for Yuki as it seems like they are dangling a carrot, but I just don't think he's good enough. Maybe he'll prove me wrong but that is just how I see it right now. All that to say is that RB will do what they want. If you owned it, you would do the same.
I understand that Perez hasn't been doing well this year, to put it bluntly, but please refrain from spreading false information. During the race, he experienced a hydraulic problem rather than a burnt-out clutch from spinning. He spun for that reason.
You are completely wrong. He spun on his own due to adding too much power on cold tyres and in 3rd gear. He then burnt the clutch and DNF'd . Stop following drivers blindly, Formula 1 is a constructors championship after all. Educate yourself or switch sports.
The fact that Tsunoda throws tantrums on the radio is a really bad excuse. Max used to do it on a regular basis, Alonso is freaking famous for it, Kimi did his part, etc, etc. RBR is holding at every straw. Just tells us that he doesn't bring enough money and that there's little exposure for the Japanese market.
Yeah to be fair if Yuki had Max, Fernando or (classic) Kimi's speed I'm sure they'd be happy to deal with his volatility, but it's taken him a comparably long time in F1 to get to the level he's at. More than you can say for other drivers (Stroll), but hard to say if he's top team material. Still, he definitely deserves a shot ahead of Lawson, Hadjar, etc.
Why would they want a driver as selfish as Sainz ? If Sainz won't accept being a number 2 which is the main reason he's refusing to listen to team orders , and in the end cause chaos why would Red Bull want that ?
@@Plainshots.oobrosThe phrase "set to trigger" can be considered part of the predicate, explaining what is expected to happen in the context of the reshuffle. It's the reshuffle that hasn't happened, not Perez Exit, therefore it can be mistaken that Perez Exit has happened due to the way it's worded. TL;DR yes the hell it is.
@@Plainshots.oobrosThe way it's worded, it reads that the "Reshuffle" is "set to trigger" because of Perez's exit. Which makes it sound like Perez's exit has already been confirmed
Same here did think RB pulled the plug on Perez. Clickbait for sure and a serious channel like this should not be forced to use this tactic to get views, imo.
Dude is a bum lol, hasn't shown anything impressive and will continue to disappoint. Yuki deserves the red bull seat, Lawson deserves to go back to gt racing😂
10000%. I don’t get this take at all, he is constantly on the radio whining about something. So much so that the team is now activity having to remind him to pay attention to himself. Has driven well??? He’s had 1 good race where be beat Tsunoda (how many weeks ago was Austin?), one race in the rain that was completely random (look at the podium) and 3 terrible races chock full of accidents that he is partly or wholly to blame for. Been saying it since he replaced Ricciardo, I don’t see the hype and it’s showing, his ceiling is mediocre, write it down.
Liam Lawson does not deserve to go straight into a world champion seat. Other drivers have all had to do a massive apprenticeship. Lawson has not displayed anything special at all. If I was making the decision I'd make a beeline for Sainz. The way he has performed this year under the circumstances has been highly admirable. I don't see why he has not already been signed by RB.
@@simonmiller5118 Just as well you're not the one making the decision then. Sainz and Verstappen have history... well specifically Sainz Sr and Jos who it turns out are two of the most toxic personalities out there. RBR don't want a fresh round of that happening again.
You guys are off the mark with your transfer news. Colapinto to RB was never going to happen, and you’re ruling out a move for Yuki into RB because he’s hot headed and gives poor technical feedback? How about the alternative? Lawson has barely any experience, has repeatedly shown he will race hard at the cost of his race and develop rivalries in the mid field. He has been outqualified and outraced by Yuki recently. Yuki deserves a shot at that seat, and I think RB will give it to him with Lawson ready to step in if it doesn’t go smoothly
I think Yuki was ruled out in the very first race of the season when he failed to follow team orders to let the faster at the time Daniel through until way too late costing a chance for him to overtake another car. That's exactly the type of temper RB doesn't want with Max being there. Any other tantrums would have probably been tolerated, but sabotaging your teammate won't go so well when that teammate is a 4x world champ trying to fight in what could potentially be the second or third best car next year as well.
See, Colapinto is really out of place in the first place. Why do you give a chance to an outsider while the driver that associates with them never had a chance? They need to consider either Yuki or Lawson or other RB junior first before outsider
Maybe, but it would make sense because yuki is a honda token and not a "true" RB junior in their eyes. I guess there is also the issue of yuki's childish attitude and temper, but those are improving every year for sure so I really think it's just the whole honda situation making things hard for yuki.
only Tsunoda fans think that In the real world Tsunoda is a risk + investing on him just to risk Honda taking him to Aston later is not a wise choice. Better try to invest on someone that may stay longer.
@@Willbrse Honda won't just take him to Aston Martin though, that has been denied by them many times. Their main priority is to see their ward earn a top seat.
@@BW_87 He deserves the chance more than anyone else in contention but he's only being doing the bare minimum (beating a rookie, and beating a man way past his prime, and not even that convincingly). Ultimately there isn't a good option for that second seat now that RB have chosen to reject sainz, but yuki probably deserves the seat more than liam. They should have chosen sainz imo but that ship has sailed.
@@BW_87 As they said in the video, the speed is there but unfortunately for him his emotional outbursts and lack of strong technical feedback play against him.
@@soundscape26 he has significantly improved both mentally and emotionally after the incident with Riccardo. The problem here is that red bull are trying to use their remaining excuses on why tsunoda is not considered. Red bull is just nick picking at this point
So the classic complaint about Yuki is that he's too hotheaded. What's the complaint now that Lawson's on the grid and showing that he's *more* easily tilted than Yuki is?
It's especially ridiculous when you see the same fandom and F1 itself (with their rage-radio compilations) celebrate temper tantrums of other drivers as "raw passion" and "sheer determination." Double standards everywhere.
they should put yuki in the rb seat. there's nothing to lose and everything to gain. worst case scenario, he underperforms and leaves, and since he's tied to honda that was already likely. best case scenario he proves to be competent in the senior team and can be kept at least in the short term
Yuki will get a chance to drive the Red Bull, but only because Honda asked to let him test. That's more a favor for Honda than genuine interest for Yuki, but it gives him a chance to impress. But if speed isn't the worry, then not sure if Yuki can do anything to sway them to take him.
Carlos Sainz is the answer but Horner and Marko are to blind to see it. He's the best option and he's proven in a top team, far better candidate than Lawson or Yuki.
Max won’t allow it. Not so much bc of CS jr, but his cousin/manager and especially CS sr is a problem in the garage. They’re constantly playing games to help jr, not so much the team.
Their manager’s won’t allow that. The two get on fine but neither of their families want to be around each other, and when your manager’s your family that becomes a problem.
I feel bad for Yuki, he deserved to get at least a small chance in that seat to show what he could do. But he will never get a chance at Red Bull. His future lies elsewhere barring an insane botch job from Lawson
You guys keep considering Lawson and colapinto for that seat, yet neither of them actually deserve that seat. Yuki is the only one who has proven his worth.
Exactly. Because if they put Lawson they won't change mid season, they would say he needs more time to adapt. They would not use this excuse for Yuki. So it would be better to out Yuki there first.
@@losklandos6962 Period. Give the guy his chance. If he sucks, then it’s on him, there’s no excuses. How can anyone who isn’t a Stan honestly say the idea that Lawson would do better than Tsunoda in Red Bull make sense?? Bottas isnt all that anymore, i dunno why people push him so much. Imagine being behind Zhou 😂. Revisionism makes people forget how mid this guy's racecraft was back in 2020 and 21. Max would tear him a new asshole Tsunoda is the best choice all things considered
@@thebateman761 Bottas is a 10X GP winner, = 2 wins for each year with Mercedes. Even in a great car, it still takes talent to win. The Stake/Sauber donkey car stint is irrelevant here.
I've always liked Perez but it's about time. He's not suited for this car. I'd rather see Tsunoda in the RB but worry about Yuki clashing on-track with Max.
You think Tsonuda or Lawson are suited for the car? The car is built around Verstappen and any other driver is going to be @ss when driving it. Redbull have admitted to not listening to Checo since last year when he warned them about the car.
I actually ran into Yuki in Vegas on Sunday afternoon. Im not positive if he would have already received information on this, but I get the feeling he has already been told he's not getting the seat.
Okay, I know Perez has been poor this year to put it mildly, but don't spread misinformation. He had a hydraulics issue during the race, and not a burnt-out clutch due to spinning. That's why he spun.
No you are the one spreading misinformation, he burnt the clutch in 3rd gear right after he spun on his own because he added too much throttle on cold tyres.
RB: "Let's not put Yuki in and instead keep him at the junior team, ruin his confidence, and ultimately have to find another driver for that seat, too!"
They already have no plans of keeping Yuki around after the Honda deal ends. He's pretty clearly just there due to contractual obligations from Honda. It's nepotism.
While Lawson is less experienced than Yuki, I still don't see the upside for Red Bull promoting him past Yuki - if they promote Yuki and he flames out, they would have Lawson at RB to replace him, whereas if Lawson fails they may not have the option to turn to Yuki
It's hilarious to me that Yuki's radio are still a point of contention when Liam is just as bad. The guy is already losing his shit on the radio whenever he encounters Checo on track or even complains about the wrong driver because he is so obsessed with Alonso that he thought he got block by him when it was actually Stroll. Not to mention he gave the bird to Checo so yeah he totally looks like a calm and collected young man!
If his busy body Dad didn't block Sainz and probably Alonso, his boy would have some relief on the way. Instead, he'll probably be stuck with Lawson, which will be Albon/Gasly 2.0.
Well, I understand how Red Bull is so desperate to let Checo Perez go after the 2024 season. No hate for Checo at all, but it's all about the team's decision due to his performance this year and failing to get into the Constructors' Championship
@@Red_Bull_DieHardFan Agree with that, it will be the best for both the team and Checo, the only thing is that RB doesn't want to pay the rescision clause.
Given Yuki's support from Honda, RB would probably want to avoid that, even if the current engine supply deal ends after 2025. Ironically, that may be factoring into RB's decision against promoting Yuki.
@@lasticonoclast Exactly. Promoting Yuki will be problematic if it turns out he's no improvement over Perez (I think we can all agree he will be no worse). Probably they have a deal with Honda that Yuki is driving as long as the engine deal is lasting (no doubt with a huge discount on the engines). So firing him would be impossible. So for them it's safer to have him in VCARB till the end of the contract.
it's personal: Sep 17, 2021 - “What planet is he from? I think he should pack his little bag and go home now, because that is not the voice of a racing driver” Coulthard
Just give Yuki a chance. Make sure it is clear what is desired of him. That they don't want him to compare himself to Verstappen. That he just has to bring in the points. Bring the car home and keep the car out of trouble. Can always swap in Lawson half-way.
RBR doing Yuki dirty. 😔 I don't buy all the sports psychology mumbo jumbo about the pressure of being Max's team mate, or the comments about Yuki's temper on the comms. Have you heard Max when he's losing? The bottom line: Checo has been under-performing these past few weekends, while Tsunoda has been solid. Let him try.
I really like Yuki. But he's only still there to please Honda and Honda did RBR dirty by first leaving F1 and forcing RBR to invest in a very expensive engine project, just to reverse their decision to come back as Aston's partner. That alone is, in my opinion, enough reason for RBR to deny Yuki the seat at the lead team, especially as he hardly had any really remarkable results to convince them otherwise. After all, Lawson with only a few races under his belt is almost as quick and has no ties to a partner that is leaving the team. Regarding his temper.. well as long as he would be winning, any team would gladly put up with outbursts, case in point being Max Verstappen.
They might do better if the 2025 car is improved. I would like to have seen Perez and Yuki swapped for these last few races, would have been a great comparison.
@@the_lost_navigator7266 Liam has already tested the RBR and was .3 behind Max. That's pretty impressive for a rookie. Let's see how Yuki does in his test.
Its impossible to do any worse. Perez's head just hasn't been in the game, in the last few weeks he has failed to put his car in the starting box correctly for a penalty, didn't start when the light was green, getting overtaken by Colapinto in the pits, spun out while behind a safety car, then destroyed the clutch when trying to correct his mistake, failed to get out of Q1 because he wasn't fast enough on his out lap to get a time in. Just consistently bad with rookie errors every week.
Sure, none of then are or will be stars, but Yuki should definitely take that seat over Liam. More experienced, not much more ill-tempered (as seen by Lawson's behaviour recently) and genuinely quick
Honestly Yuki has seemed less ill-tempered for most of this season, it was only rly in Bahrain cool down lap. Whereas Lawson has been consistantly at odds and acting like he's the man for the last few races.
Lawson has been disappointing this year. Like Daniel, he was meant to come in and smoke Yuki but he has just raced with a hot head and showed that he doesn’t have the experience to be in better machinery and more on track & off track pressure.
I mean so far Liam has been matching, often beating Yuki. Nothing against Yuki who definitively deserves a shot in RB, but to say Liam is regularly beaten is not correct
@@MGK-fm9hcIf I remember correctly Liam’s only beaten Yuki 2/5 main races and 1 of them being Mexico where Yuki crashed (not entirely his fault) so he does have the majority over Liam.
@@MoviWasTaken In Brazil it was too close to call. Yuki only finished one spot ahead of Liam and benefitted from Liam getting taken out but Oscar. That gained Yuki a spot and hence more points. Liam then spent the last quarter of the race holding off Lewis Hamilton. That is a hell of a thing for a rookie to do in a VCARB. Same race Liam also passed both Lewis and Alonso in a single move. 9 WDC between them. The fact Liam is in the mix is such a short period of time tells you all you need to know. All the other rookies in that race fell apart. Liam bested legends of the sport...in a shitbox.
Yuki has years of experience, Lawson has less than 10 races. Yuki SHOULD be beating Lawson. The fact that Lawson is actually pretty close just highlights that Tsunoda isn't that fast.
Yuki deserves a chance. Hes constantly done better than his teammate of the week. Hes also grown and matured a lot in the last year or som he used to have quite the temper and let that cloud his vision. But is so much more level headed and consistent after his time driving with Danny.
2021: Gasly vs Tsunoda: Gasly 115-32 points Tsunoda, half a second a lap slower on average. 2023-2024: Lawson vs Tsunoda: Tsunoda 8-5 Lawson points, often in the same tenth pace wise after just 8 races. This tells you everything you need to know about Tsunoda's limits.
As a Mexican and F1 fan I can’t tell you how exhausting and frustrating it has been watching Checo on race weekends. Just happy the downward spiral is over.
Yeah you're right, Checo is having more difficulties than Max despite having similar issues, in a car that heavily suits Max's style and a team that favors Max, it's almost as if he should be on his level or doing even better than Max, it's really unreasonable what he's doing...
RBR has the opportunity to invite many drivers to simulator tests to narrow this down to a 2 or 3. Then invite them to track testing using their old car to narrow it down to the best fit for them. Sergio has had access to Max's setup and telemetry so he has no excuse on his dismal results. He's a professional driver who has years of experience in various under/oversteer formula cars.
I'm a fan of Lawson and the kid does have talent but YUKI deserves that seat. I don't know what more Yuki has to do to prove he can take the rains of the second RB seat and be successful. He's done more with the VCARB car than probably should have been possible.
RB should have reshuffled their driver when Perez is not delivering the goods, if Tsunuda took his seat in the mid season RB could have keep the Construction alive in the final race.
Tsuno is barely faster than Lawson who has 8 races of experience. Compare to how bad Tsunoda was in his first year and you'll understand why RB don't want him.
Why don't Red Bull put Yuki in the first team for the first half of the season. If he doesn't deliver, put Liam in for the second half. Yuki gets a shot and Liam gains more experience. Move aside Marko, I am coming for your job
Correction, it tells that Tsunioda isn't that good. Tsunoda is data wise barely faster (and he hasn't scored much more points as well) than Lawson who has only 8 races in the bag. If anythikng, it tells you how limited Tsunoda is.
doesn't mean a top team with championship ambition should be turning to a driver who will only have 11 drives under his belt. Antonelli: Don't look at me
@@LilRy95 Hilarious comparing Daniel to Liam. Daniel had 8 seasons to show the goods and didn't. Liam has had barely more than 8 races. The fact he's even in the conversation answers your question. Liam has shown he adapts quickly and can cope with pressure. They need both of those things in RBR. Not a driver that has taken 4 years to find form and another that had 8 years and still couldn't get the job done when it counts.
Lawson will be a disaster. He’ll be another gasly or albon and will be gone before the end of next year. He’s no where near ready to be compared to Max. Saying that - there are no real strong candidates
Yuki and Daniel would both be strong candidates, but for some reason they still can't give Yuki a seat and unless they say sorry to Danny for singapore and give him a nice contract, I doubt he would willingly come back, they cut those ties back then. Realistically the only other candidate is Bottas as he's been very good in the past with being a second driver.
Rubbish, Liam is cooler when anything goes wrong, doesn't have a tantrum, and gets on with his engineering team better than Yuki does, and for someone who's only had limited time in the car compared to Yuki, I'd go for Liam,he was out classing seasoned driver's when in the Red Bull DTM stable could have won except for a clown from SA on the last weekend of racing, guess the Germans didn't want a foreign manufacturer winning their comp,
The bottom line is that the top drivers don't want to drive for Red Bull because they think they won't get a fair chance to beat Max. That's why the team has kept Perez maybe 2 seasons longer than they should have. Some of the drivers on the grid were part of Red Bull's junior program and got burnt. Sainz is driving for Williams next season that says a lot right there.
"Speed is not the problem but other things". Yet a young as fans called "Crashstappen" wasn't too dissimilar: Hot headed, mistakes, etc. I think it's a bit of an insult at this point that Yuki is being put in the situation he is... regardless of his ways. He's proven he can beat most of the main team candidates.
Sorry to put it so blunt, but it's a bit delusional to put Yuki in the same category as Max. Even in the early days of his career Mercedes and RBR were fighting to get him under contract.. that says something about the way he was regarded even as a 16 yo kid. And with all his mistakes he also delivered the results. Even in his F3 days he would have won the championship in his first season of motor racing ever if he hadn't suffered from mechanical failures. Yuki is a funny guy with a lot of speed but it's no Verstappen, sorry.
5:00 huh? Lawson has been very inconsistent, making silly mistakes, and making enemies up and down the grid. Not to mention literally giving perez the finger down the straight in mexico. "Not easily rattled" is wild
It's like "The Race" base their content on leaked RB Press releases rather than objective journalism. Lawson got a 10 second penalty that was his fault, just last race, and he hasn't been beating Yuki, and he's a hothead as you say
Yes Liam has struggled in the past two races but many have forgotten that he had a solid Sunday in those difficult conditions in Brazil. He outperformed Oscar, Ollie and Franco on that day.
Lawson and Yuki were driving the slowest car in the race at the weekend, Yuki was getting passed with ease by anyone who was behind him, it happened continually lap after lap, going from 8th to 14th over a few laps. RB have screwed up their race speed. As we have seen with Zhou and Bottas, without race speed, it is impossible to compete and get points. Zhou finally had a car capable of getting points with improved race speed at the weekend and he took the opportunity.
It's not the last two races. He raced well in Austin, his first race in. He beats Yuki. Mexico was terrible, fell backwards in the grid and slid into Perez refusing to give up his place to a faster car and the sister team. Essentially ended any change of Perez scoring even a measly point. Then gives off the finger oblivious of what he looks like for the weekend. Finishes 16 of 17. Yuki started ahead and wrecked into turn 1. Sao Palo he deserves credit for staying clear of accidents and driving steadily, he scored points. But before we celebrate, look at the podium. It's a one-off. Yuki finishes ahead. Las Vegas, terrible. Starts 14th and dropped down the grid again, finishes 16 of 18. Way outperformed by Yuki who gets into Q3 and finishes 9th. Qatar, again poor result, both in the sprint and race, dropped like a stone in both. Finishes 14 of 15. How is this deserving of a Red Bull seat. I am sure the guy has some talent, they all do at this level, but he has a looooong way to go and a lot to prove. VCARB is where he belongs for the moment, no better.
@@SuprDave45 Yuki benefitted from the penalty Piastri received from knocking Liam off track. In the actual race yuki was one spot ahead. And that's after he twice blocked Liam in the pits. Also wash your mouth out. Lance Stroll has no talent.

I thought he was being used as a test bed it was so poor!
My opinion obviously, but there are so many things to consider.
1 How much longer will max stay at RB? if they know something we don't, then that would make a big difference in their choice for the next driver for the coming years. They might not want to give him a chance since they want the best of the best in that seat. (Sorry Sergio)
2 Lawson isn't too far behind Yuki and he's a rookie
3 Gasly was the better driver when they were together and he did not cut it at RB, so why would Yuki?
4 His temperment has not been the best under pressure and has had anger issues, they have gotten better for sure, but it's just part of his personality that RB might not like
5 Might just have him there for the Honda relationship and aren't seriously considering him for an RB seat
6 I really don't see him comparing to any of the other 2nd drivers.
Yuki is honda’s boy, and he is out with their exit of red bull in 26
The F1 site has Bottas listed as a RedBull driver on their website now!😂😂
A bit sad for Yuki if they put Lawson in the Red Bull instead of him. Not a vote of confidence.

I understand that Perez hasn't been doing well this year, to put it bluntly, but please refrain from spreading false information. During the race, he experienced a hydraulic problem rather than a burnt-out clutch from spinning. He spun for that reason.
I was wondering what the guy was going on about with the clutch issue.
You are completely wrong. He spun on his own due to adding too much power on cold tyres and in 3rd gear. He then burnt the clutch and DNF'd . Stop following drivers blindly, Formula 1 is a constructors championship after all. Educate yourself or switch sports.
And how about the other ten qualifying races and races? At some point, there are no more excuses.🤷🏻

The fact that Tsunoda throws tantrums on the radio is a really bad excuse. Max used to do it on a regular basis, Alonso is freaking famous for it, Kimi did his part, etc, etc. RBR is holding at every straw.

@@ghostrider-be9ekno they don't want anyone to compete with him
Yeah to be fair if Yuki had Max, Fernando or (classic) Kimi's speed I'm sure they'd be happy to deal with his volatility, but it's taken him a comparably long time in F1 to get to the level he's at. More than you can say for other drivers (Stroll), but hard to say if he's top team material.
Still, he definitely deserves a shot ahead of Lawson, Hadjar, etc.
Max as 4 time world champion and Lewis as how many times World Champion have earned the right to "throw tantrums" on the radio. Yuki has not.

Liam Lawson hasn't proved anything, Should be last in line for the seat.
Fully agree
They should promote Yuki and sign Colapinto for RB. Lawson vs Colapinto would be amazing.
Lawson is the correct profile... Ahem ....color.

The bottom line: Checo has been under-performing these past few weekends, while Tsunoda has been solid. Let him try.
Yuki is barely out-pacing Lawson who is a rookie, not enough to justify a RB seat.
The guy has spiky inputs anyway.
Yuki deserves his shot. Put him in and if he’s a problem you can swap him and Lawson at the mid season break.

RBR has the opportunity to invite many drivers to simulator tests to narrow this down to a 2 or 3. Then invite them to track testing using their old car to narrow it down to the best fit for them. I'm pretty sure they have quite a lot of simulator results already, at least for Perez, Lawson, Ricciardo and Tsunoda.

Not a driver that has taken 4 years to find form and another that had 8 years and still couldn't get the job done when it counts.
Yuki is only still at vcarb because he has decent backing by Honda. If it wasn't for that he'd be long gone.
Lawson will be a disaster. He’ll be another gasly or albon and will be gone before the end of next year. He’s no where near ready to be compared to Max. Saying that - there are no real strong candidates
Exactly. He's not shown that he's worth it for the RBR seat.
Absolutely spot on . How more people dont see this is beyond me .
Rubbish, Liam is cooler when anything goes wrong, doesn't have a tantrum, and gets on with his engineering team better than Yuki does, and for someone who's only had limited time in the car compared to Yuki, I'd go for Liam,he was out classing seasoned driver's when in the Red Bull DTM stable could have won except for a clown from SA on the last weekend of racing, guess the Germans didn't want a foreign manufacturer winning their comp,
@morrisanderson818 Liam's not a bad driver, he's just not ready for Redbull. It's too early.
Embarrassing if Lawson gets anywhere near that seat
I'm sorry but Red Bull is smoking crack. Yuki is the obvious choice, the team just doesn't like working with him because he divebombed Riccardo.
perez your amazing drive in 2021 will never even be forgotten and will be our favorite❤
5:00 huh? Lawson has been very inconsistent, making silly mistakes, and making enemies up and down the grid. Not to mention literally giving perez the finger down the straight in mexico. "Not easily rattled" is wild
Giving checo the finger, at his home GP, is based as fuck.
Lawson is openly telling Checo he's gonna take his seat.
And Lewis Hamiton. Who he passed and held off for the rest of the race.
@@Matt04108 Same thing happened to Liam in the Sprint. Qualified 10th then dropped like a stone in the race. The car is a shitbox. Plan and simple.
Tsunoda deserves the RB seat. It's not even a questions.
