I've noticed the opposite actually. Most of my paid shoots have been from stance and modified guys while the dudes with stock sports cars or even exotics would underpay me or straight up act like dicks when I asked to take photos lol
Well that’s the problem, you’re asking them to shoot their vehicle. If I reach out to someone, I don’t expect them to pay. That’s the equivalent of someone coming to your door step and trying to sell you stuff you probably don’t want. Not saying this directed towards you specifically, but if/when a photographer has a strong enough portfolio, supercar/sports car owners will book and pay appropriately. It’s all about value. You also have to realize that most of the supercar/sports car owners are far more busy (families, jobs, commitments, etc…) compared to the younger stance car crowd who are usually 16-24 and live in their parents basement. Nonetheless, if you’re happy with the results you’re getting from the stance crowd, stick with it dude 💪🏻
Like I said in the video, you can have a killer portfolio but if it’s all stance cars, most supercar/sports car guys find it difficult to relate (in my experience). So my suggestion would be to to book some highly discounted or even free shoots with some really nice exotics to build a stronger, more diverse portfolio. That way moving forward you’ll appeal to more audiences in turn creating more hype/opportunities for booking shoots. Hope that all makes sense!

Go out and photograph some cars and coffee’s or local events. Watermark your work. You’ll likely get at least one person who’d want to book a shoot!
