    Great video..great info...question trying to find a holster for my Glock 19 that this will be installed on...but in need to have a big name brand to compare its size to ie a stream light...or O light. Which would you say most closely compares size wise to the Thrunite? Thanks

    I like Thrunite I’ve purchased 2 of their weapon lights. The 1st 1 I purchased was the BSSV4 & it’s one durable welly crafted hand held/rifle light. The BSS (Black Scout Survival) design comes with a gnarly beveled edge u can remove from the front & wear as a ring while going through TSA. While on the light u truly have a great hand held self defense system. The light + strobe & the the sharp edged beveled edge makes a great striking tool when paired to an attacker’s neck. Especially around the jugular & would easily break the skin with a heavy blow. If the jugular was stricken I have no doubt it would cause a devastating injury. As well any other sensitive area like eye balls or neither region. After seeing the craftsmanship of the BSSV4 I picked up the TW10. I like it as well but when compared to the SF ULTRA300X there’s a lot to be desired. The ergonomics are not even close in comparison. The TW10 does have a great shine but there’s no advantage other than the $275-$325 ish saved

    All of those gun lights were designed to be mounted on large frame handguns, like the Glock 17. There are smaller light models for compact and subcompact guns

    I have the thrunight light it's solid but I really wish the light didn't have a gap between the housing and trigger guard. I use my support hand to fire the light. I have large hands and have to break my grip to reach the button. I use the TLR7,X300u & PL350 without issue.

    Nice review! Although would need to give holster makers some time to make light bearing holsters with the Thrunite in mind. Also would be nice for it to be a light with lithium primaries instead of a built in rechargeable.

    • @Brandon_Sweeney
      @Brandon_Sweeney 2 года назад

      The thrunite isn't a built in rechargeable. It's an 18350 that can be swapped as necessary.

    Weapon light should have different light pattern than regular flash light. My TW10 would work great has a hand held flash light but not quite as weapon light. You need to have a bright hot spot which the TW10 just have a very wide bright area with no clear differentiation between hot spot and halo. An issue with this design is that you won't have the blinding effect like other weapon lights. The center candela of TW10 is only less than 4k from a 900 lumen output. A TLR-1 HL which is a 1000 lumen, but it has over 20k of candela in the center.

    The Thrunite seems to be the brightest and throws wider light

    The TW10 just needs some throw to bump up the candela. Well and maybe some better switches to sweep further back. It's a stretch on my jericho II enhanced

    I like the ThruNite well enough and the price is certainly right.
    But they could have left off all of the "Black Scout Survival" stuff, or just offered one plain finish.
    I love their products, just thought they could have left that off. It's a bit mall-cop-ish.

    surefires are not expensive. Never buy cheap imports for lights you depend your life on

  • @wessowell6616
    @wessowell6616 2 года назад +1

    You conveniently forgot to mention that you have to completely remove the light every time you want to charge it because the batteries connections are proprietary so they won’t charge unless it’s inside of the light using the USB charger. It’s a complete pain to get this light on and off and the screw head will be ruined after 5 or 6 charges from being marred up

    Why would you use your trigger finger to activate your light? How can you fire your handgun if you are currently trying to activate a momentary function with your trigger finger? Just use the thumb of your support hand like a normal person.

  • @andycanona

    So, let me get this straight: the channel is called THRUNITE, who makes weapon lights, and they do a video comparing their competitors’ lights to theirs in a video. The reviewer states Thrunite’s price, tells you where to buy them, and in the end the “reviewer” states he recommends the THRUNITE. How’s that for an unbiased review🤨 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

    Why in the world is he using his trigger finger to activate all of these lights. Imagine you’re on momentary on with your trigger finger, pie’ing a room, then you see someone you need to shoot, oops!!! Now there gone. He keeps saying “and for you left handed guys there’s a switch on the other side”. Uh no, you use your thumb for the light. Unless you have the thrunite, in which case the thumb can’t reach, and you’re f**ked.

    No idea why anyone buys a compact g19 size pistol then stick a light on that stick out an inch past the barrel. Just use a g17 then
