That first B0 catches everyone out. The intro starts off deep, then drops a couple of thirds...so no one actually expects it to drop again and sustain for so long under J. None's solo melody. heard it many times now and it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
What an EPIC cover of 'Valhalla Calling' By Voiceplay Ft. J.None Originally done by Miracle of Sound. Think everyone did a fantastic job on this one! Loved the lows from Geoff & then those highs from Eli where out of nowhere but WOW them bars by J.None flowed so well with the song! Voiceplay doesn't use anything but their voices and the occasional prop. ( see Hoist the colors (Ceasar holds a small shackle he shakes in his fist)) But When you react to Voiceplay keep in mind they are world class talents that perform live as well as studio cuts. I have heard them live and yes, they DO sound this good with only mikes and amps, but for their feature videos like this they pull out all the stops including using a world class mixer. And (just in case you usually haven't done much Voiceplay, keep in mind, that they all have Multiple octave ranges and mad skills that they practice all the time. Check out the Voiceplay channel and listen to more of the videos to understand just how world class they are. Geoff has a solo channel where he DOES use instruments, as well as showcasing his Mutiple octave ranges with layered tracks and excellent editing to appear as Jeff, Geoff, Goef and Jeoph the quad of magnificence. I think Voi-layne will blow your socks off so watch Warriors and Nothing else matters and get back to u since those are the ultra rare instances of Voiceplay adding instruments to a major performance. Enjoy the ride and hang on tight.
I’m actually pretty sure Layne IS making all those sounds, though I’m fairly sure he uses some mic effects and other electronic magic (not samples but things like reverb and distortion) to perfect them. Is that allowed in acapella? Do I care? LOL. The tricky thing about that B0 is not just hitting it but holding it. Wow. Great reaction, Shane!! Loved watching you rock out on the song. Did you just pull a Qofy?? LOL.
Loved the fills he did. Everything was on point. Geoff is on another level cause it is pretty hard to sustain a note. I studied music when I was younger but played drums. Did pretty good at music theory but anything singing related I was just not very confident so did pretty badly. I was also trying to do notes way outta my range. Think trying some bass singing would be good for my confidence. Glad you enjoyed the reaction love listening & discovering new music. Not going to lie had to Google what a Qofy is 🤣 but see it's a reactor lol. I actually dont watch other reactors.(last music reactor I watched was the charismatic vocalist or something like that? - react to lorna shore - Will ramos )Started as a gaming channel but just wanted to do reactions for a while know but all the copyright stuff put me off, but the gaming stuff never really went anywhere took 2 years to get 1k subs then took me one month of reactions to get to 4k subs. 🤯
@@ShaneAlanGower Yes, he's a reactor, and in the VP/Geoff fandom is rather famous (or infamous?) for being so blown away by their video of "Hoist the Colors" that he had to get up and walk around the room...forgetting that he was in his underwear, LOL.
@@ShaneAlanGower Qofy is known for his enthusiasm and leaping from his chair (once forgetting he was in his boxers😂). If you decide to watch the cover of the HALO theme, you might go check out the Charismatic Voice because she has the composer on one of her videos who talked about VoicePlay’s version.
Great reaction. No fog horn can hold a candle to Geoff! This quintet may be perfect VP.

No drum machine. This is a capella. Layne can make all manner of sounds.
That's incredible. I saw it said a capella and I was just being a little sus but those fills with his mouth where awesome. They all did a superb job.
@@ShaneAlanGower They always do :)
Layne Stein of Voiceplay and Adam Rupp from Home Free are Masters of their vocal percussion craft for a capella genre.
@@dmccarthy100 And then there's all the stomping and body slapping. :)
This one definitely gets your heart going, eh? Love it!!
Great reaction!
I love it when reactors respond so enthusiastically. Great reaction. Thank you.
Really gets you pumped up right? They did such a good job on this one. Great reaction!
It was such a vibe. Loved it. They all did a fantastic job. 😊
Ol' foghorn Castellucci is at it again!! Epic piece from VoicePlay!

You should watch some of the videos on Geoffs solo channel where he teaches you how to sing low.
I'm going to look into it soon. Im pretty interested. 😊
Yeah you have the natural voice for it. You can probably push down one more octave if you learn the subharmonic technique.
a very good reaction video my friend
4:20 Yep, Layne makes all those drum noises himself. I'm sure there's a bunch of post processing and layering, but it's still all voice.

Or as Geoff says: "It's one thing to technically 'hit' a note...it's a whole other thing to actually make it sound 'musical'."
