As a vinyl turntablist of around 30yrs i must say im quite impressed! 10yrs old and already making amazing progress! Keep it up and by the time your 18 you will have all the skillz and all the time in the world to market and promote yourself to a world class performer and artist. Imo, DJs make the best producers so keep it up girl, you rock!
Mad props. The issue is to be able to control the left hand completely independent of the right hand. I can't do it. I've tried a million times. My two hands cannot operate independently at different rhythms. They both want to move at the same rhythm.
Do you practise doing it very very slowly with even simpler skills, like even just tapping? I'm sure your brain will learn to seperate them at some point. Don't quit!
You cant do it only if thats what you allow yourself to continue to believe! I promise you, as mentioned try it slow at first then speed up the techniques... eventually when it clicks youll be amazed and want to learn the next scratch! Its all muscle memory and timing.... learning to scratch with a controller is fine, at least your trying and if you spin on real tunrtables ans a mixer youll know exactly what to do and the muscle memory is there, you just adapt to the different equipment thats all! Good luck, you CAN do this!
DJ Mustard’s competition right here! Similar to possibly around her age, DJ Mustard started DJing when he was just graduating elementary school or in the 5th grade. Can you imagine how legendary and epic she will sound on more professional equipment when she grows up?! She is definitely going to kick ass in the DJ industry.
@@fx640 The first step of becoming a dj (if you have the equipment) is trying to make a flawless transition and if you can do that you can go practice everything else (or that's how I see it) Completely agree with you
im quiting djing im 40 years before this kid was born struggling on recards and cds, till now...........she is so talented - imagine at 10 years what more when she reaches my age.. God bless her
@@davetherave9T2 I used to scratch like that as a kid. I think a lot of what we see in mainstream/famous is probably done all over the place and either praised or ignored. There are some documentaries/interviews where some OG dj will talk about what he used to do. Eg, I heard Flash talk about using a plastic bag under the rubber mat. I cut a plastic bag out as a kid…just from my own inquisitiveness. B4 internet, etc. I tried scratching with my feet, elbows….one record on top of another (wtf), etcccccc
DJ Michelle’s dad I’m sure had her starting to get familiar like ridiculously young like getting familiar at 3 to the concept. Then by 6 there’s no doubt in my mind she was blending and practicing all the basic scratches tons of practice plus she enjoys it.I believe from Dubai I’m probably wrong I know she grew up using all the best of the best equipment and a coach who hisself is insane.I watched her grow up from the first days of her introduction to the equipment.A lot of us too would be as successful growing up in those circumstances.I grew up in the 70s.I didn’t get my first set of belt drives kits btw jazzy Jeff scratch master kit 2 Gemini bdl10 belt drive decks that were very hard to learn on,especially teaching urself.I wasn’t able to get my own set of 1200s in 99 with a proper Gemini executioner battle mixer and a crown amp.By then I was making ok money I was a adult ,but securing a gig was another hump in 2000.Luckily one of my best friends was a Baltimore club DJ and I caddied all his ish this was the very introduction of DVS so he was still a all vinyl DJ he had a extensive collection of vinyl he was one of his 3 bros and they all belonged to pools when I would goto the record place and physically pick them up every week. But he taught me how to spin bmore club music.Which that in itself opened a lot of doors.Sorry for the essay but I’m just explaining the differences between hex and the youngins today”millennials “
DJ routines including scratching never required headphones. Look at the old recorded routines from the '90s DJ routines are simply moving along too fast for headphones pre-listening. So they are well prepared instead Today with hotcues and beat jumps in the software Back then with stickers on the vinyl

She got skills, but she also grew up in a fairly rich country with decent parents. I have always thought dj-ing and scratching is the hardest craft, until i saw laborers hanging up the window doing cleaning jobs. I mean, these are kids' toys nowadays - but considered a mere fortune in 3rd world countries only the rich can afford.

Actual dj chops right here. Not sugarcoating just bc she's a kid. This actually takes real understanding.
DJ MICHELLE IS GOING TO HAVE A VERY BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD OF HER....I WISH HER THE BEST OF LUCK WITH HER DJ....

Mad skills, she's awesome. Imagine what she is going to be like at 18 , she's going to rock every club on the planet 👍👍
Knowing how to scratch doesn't mean you are a good DJ, you can master the scratching technique but don't even know how to mix.

Completely agree with you
Hopefully she gets into playing real instruments. Because the DJ will be automated out of existence by the time she is 18.
@@PooFace2030 djing won't be automated.
@@EI_Greko Just about everything else will be. But No, not Dj’ing. Not Dj’ing where they have programs thst already auto mix.
I'm gonna do the same with my daughter. She just turned 11 months. That young lady killed it

Well gone and give all the haters something to talk about then✊ Keep shining young lady👍💪
Good working
I remember when it required headphones and a lot of cueing. Now it's pretty much button pushing.
Yep, and most of these "djs" now show their scratching but dont even know how to mix two songs.
