Let me say why: JJS isnt doing a mistake most developers do and their game dies because of it. JJS actually focuses on gameplay rather than graphics and cool effects.

Tbh head splitters lack of torso isn’t actually a bug it was intended as it was based off a move Mahito does in the anime where he dettaches from his body and becomes basically a head with arms and kehs
I feel like the code on jjs is extremely loose but efficient aswell, which allows the devs too add alot of things that other games will have to rip apart their spaghetti code just to implement.

What makes Jujutsu Shenanigans actually unique from other is the graphics and the fact it allows player to channel their building skills on a game instead of needing a pc for roblox studios. The lack of seriousness is honestly fun for me and I quite wish JJS gets more famous tbh. I lowkey wanted to make a bg game but I'm on mobile and also have no idea how to do it.
i think at the core of everything, behind the charm and jank, jjs works because the dev, tze, actually cares about his game and doesnt treat it like a product to sell. every character and every move ooze thought and care made from someone who wanted to create a fun experience the BG community has never seen before. it's comparable to pressure in that both games go farther than taking the formula into their own game, and they instead implement new mechanics that flow with the game. jjs really feels like a passion project in a sea of heartless cashgrabs.
Fun fact: the head with no arms or torso with the “head spliter” move was on purpose. it was made to be a reference to one of the moves mahito does when he turns into a head with legs while his main body is fighting.
One thing i love about jjs is the basic models , as much as i love seeing what crazy Shi people can make i dont really like it for instance when in jojo games you have the super muscley models that look kinda nasty , or they just focus too much on a model/ effect rather than gameplay features etc.
JJS was the first battlegrounds game I played actively , I didn’t play tsb cause it was boring and I kept getting jumped trying to learn how to play when the only device I use to play Roblox is a ps4 and hero’s was really fast I would also get jumped so I really like JJS since it feels unique and special and you can always do new things it’s not as generic as get kills do event boss repeat like tsb

it was released in 2024. the creation date for games on roblox has always been represented by when the baseplate was created and not when the game was released it has been this way forever
Tze said he didn't want to create a whole new baseplate for the game so he used an old baseplate, this was mentioned before in the discord the game was in fact made in 2024
And don't get me wrong thinking I might be hating the game, I bought the early access gamepass and spent a little more of my robux on emotes. Even though I don't like battlegrounds games JJS was the only one that caught my and of many attention by their simplistic and creativity on the Battegrounds game fields that's just damn generic.

ngl i may like jjs but i just like tsb more because i can manage the controls more than jjs controls, like for example, im not completely used to the dash in jjs but i can fully control the dash in tsb. but hopefully tsb updates more than delays at some point unlike jjs.

I think it's entirely about what you're looking for in a community. I've been playing JJS for nearly a year now, and outside of the in-game toxic individuals (that exist within every fighting game), the JJS community has always been a fun group of people. A lot of times, I find that friends of this game, after playing for a good hour or so, suggest hopping over to tsb for a bit, or even realms rampage. Obviously if you're looking for the worst parts of a community, you'll nearly always find them, but with JJS it's nowhere near as big of a crowd as OP suggested

The thing is that both of the most successful battlegrounds games (JJS and TSB) always improve the game with every character so every upcoming character is very hyped and while doing all that they make sure there are not many bugs and if they find one they immediately try to fix them.

I personally feel jjs has a lot of players because of the amount of content. There are many different characters to choose from and a new gamemode. even before the gamemode was added, jjs had a ton of things other games didnt have.
JJS is a good and fun game but it has a really big issues in runners and i seen more runners in JJS than in TSBG since ladders and the parkouring features make it easier for them to run and i think tze should make the slowness alot more noticeable when low or not be able to climb ladders while in combat.
Petition for someone to make a those minecraft maps A big forest with many mushrooms to parkour and many more stuff incl some Easter eggs A village with a iron golem as dummy The nether with a fortress and a Blaze there as dummy The end with a ender man as dummy You literally can create many things with the blocky size of the structures
JJS is the only game that doesnt take it self seriously but somehow still looks absolutely fantastic other bg HEAVILY rely on cutscenes while jjs has 0 and still puts out some of the most entertaining looking combat of all time for example all of mahitos ult moves are just made FANTASTICALLY i feel like if any bg game tried any of these moves with a cutscene it would take away from the combat and even downgrade the beauty of it

The thing is that both of the most successful battlegrounds games (JJS and TSB) always improve the game with every character so every upcoming character is very hyped and while doing all that they make sure there are not many bugs and if they find one they immediately try to fix them.

I personally feel jjs has a lot of players because of the amount of content. There are many different characters to choose from and a new gamemode. even before the gamemode was added, jjs had a ton of things other games didnt have.
I mean the creator of jjs was literally a dev from an other battlegrounds game called “rouge demon” and that game back then was PEAK.
The main selling point for me is that the movement feels fluid. Most other battle grounds games feel clunky and slow, but JJS is different.

JJS is a good and fun game but it has a really big issues in runners and i seen more runners in JJS than in TSBG since ladders and the parkouring features make it easier for them to run and i think tze should make the slowness alot more noticeable when low or not be able to climb ladders while in combat.
Realm rampage feels SO CLUNKY and it feels like nothing fits together, it’s like a puzzle with the all the pieces in all the wrong places
the head splitter thing where it made you only have legs and a head was not a glitch it is inspired from mahito vs yuji and todo

You literally can create many things with the blocky size of the structures
JJS is the only game that doesnt take it self seriously but somehow still looks absolutely fantastic other bg HEAVILY rely on cutscenes while jjs has 0 and still puts out some of the most entertaining looking combat of all time for example all of mahitos ult moves are just made FANTASTICALLY i feel like if any bg game tried any of these moves with a cutscene it would take away from the combat and even downgrade the beauty of it
