- Question seems simple but it is really hard to justify which one to buy? Is it a right time to buy Electric Car which has many fancy features than Petrol vehicle. Lets provide my detailed review about it.

1 Price of petrol 15years back is 47rupees, now it's 102..
2. you have to take avg of 135 rupees not 105..and
3.what about the other costs like periodic service cost, timing belt, clutch, transmission charges etc etc etc..
4. Driving pleasure? Smooth, silent and easy to drive
5. In 2010 price of battery is 1000000 but now it's 500000 in 2030 it will be around 2laks, so even if battery gone I can replace and drive like new car, but how about petrol car after 1.5laks km, you will feel like driving a truck.
6. Nexon petrol car is 11.5laks..you should compare with nexon not punch.
7. Average life of battery is 2 to 3 lakh kms...

You missed the PMS cost on IC engines such as oil changes, clutch replacement , timing belt etc. Service cost is generally assumed at 1 re per km.
Electric 2 wheelers seem to be a sensible option as the price difference between petrol and electric is very negligible in the case of ola S1 .
Oh!!! Then you take the EMI interest into consideration for EV cars. In case you have ready money. What would be your ROI on a 8L on money market investment ?
@@cbe2mys I believe you read the first half. Even I am not denying initial upfront payment on ev cars and not wise to choose ev cars. Rather ev scooter does make sensible choice as there is minor cost difference compared to petrol 125cc scooter compared with ola S1

இன்னும் ev charge station வரவில்லை. 200 kilometter மேல் போக மறுபடியும் சார்ஜ் செய்ய குறைந்தது மூன்று மணி நேரம் நிற்க வேண்டும். பெட்ரோல் அப்படி இல்லை. Ev அவசரத்துக்கு long drive போக இப்போதைக்கு ஆகாது.
It will come same price after 15 years if you calculate maintenance cost and increase in petrol price in next 15 years

250km range குடுப்பதில்லை என்பதே நிஜம். மேலும் Petrol car service cost என்பது லட்சத்தில் செலவுகளை வைப்பதில்லை. Battery technology வந்தாலும் அது பட்ஜட் விலையில் விற்பது இல்லை.
If we use more than 10,000 kilometres in a year then definitely electrical vehicle is better than petrol vehicle.

charging cost is not 6 rupees for EV. zeon fast charging is 24/kwh. in future hourly charge also might get added. even home charging 8-11 rupees if you cross 500 units. in my apartment there is no provision to charge from my EB line. they have setup a common useless bolt charger(3kva) which would have costed 3k and billing me 20/kwh & hourly charging is 50 extra. for example MG ZS has 50 kwh battery, to charge it you would need to spend 1200 rupees. per kwh you get 3 km...so for 1200 rupees you get 150 km to travel. so per km you pay 8 rupees in EV. but in petrol say you get 18km/liter & petrol cost is 100/liter, so per km you pay 5.5 rupees. also range panic is the biggest problem in india as we don't have much charging station. if you have solar charging then its beneficial but it will not help in long distance travel as you have to rely on fast charging points. you can check the zeon charging charges in this video ruclips.net/video/a2qthbMqA9c/видео.html

We are still not sure about battery life on two wheelers whether it runs at charging cycle of lithium battery or number of kms or number of years. For cars it's even more difficult to judge. Definitely lithium ion is not the most compatible technology in current state. We need something else.

Ev scooter is better because its avaliable for same price as a petrol high end scooter not like car which has many lakhs difference in price
i think u left the main thing here.. Tata Tiago EV is available at 8.5L with 300km range they claim so nowadays 8L ev is available same as punch price..
Bro did you checked Tiago ev battery pack capacity. We cannot buy ev car and drive like bullock cart to get that range. For that price you buy a petrol car and drive like a real car with no worries.

Yes bro tata Tiago ev seems budget segment electric car however it's battery capacity are too low. I hope lower model tata Tiago comes with 19kwh battery which will cover only short distance travel in and around 100 to 150km. Expecting byd dolphin car with 10lak which may bring good value for money for its blade battery technology.

Main disadvantage is bulk battery replacement cost. If manufacturers produce Tesla like battery modules, it will be easier to service them on our own. Just replacing the bad batteries will save us from exorbitant replacement costs.

Yes ofcourse price will increase and decrease based on inflation. However we can predict that today's ev car battery also get updated which make present generation ev car battery become old . Older generation parts they will not provide it for cheaper price.

Also like petrol prices increasing in coming years the price of battery pack will only come down after 8 years. Lets take it 50% reduction in price so even if you buy a new battery you are saving about 10rs per km by using an ev. So in 15 years if you drive 1.5 lakhs kms. Then you save a wooping 15 lakhs!!! Lets say the second battery costs 8 lakhs even then you save 8 lakhs which is the difference between an ice car and electric car so you end up spending the same amount of money. Considering less pollution for your lungs and always fully charged ev with home charging why not choose a 8lakh higher priced ev now. If you are going to use loan which 90% will the 8lakhs you are not putting from your pocket also.
Over period of time ev market will catch the four wheeler market however this is not a right time to take that bet.

Yes we can make interest from that amount however i did not added petrol vehicle maintenance. We can use that interest for petrol vehicle maintenance.

Main points are initial price high , present NMC based cells has problem with heat and long term reliability. Battery and motor cost are very high if we need replacement. Also we have problems in present DC charging facilities for long distance travel. Compare to the price we are paying we have several petrol vehicle under 10laks which makes our life easy.
Yes we have some hope in ev cars after several years where we make our own battery at low cost and low spare parts cost with affordable electric bill. However we are in commercial world in which inflation of money plays important role.

Yes 9laks Tiago ev not make any sense if the battery pack is just 19kwh. Long drive impossible with small battery pack and smaller the battery you need mor charging which leads to less battery reliability. If it is from blade battery technology with same price may be we can consider it.
