Hey guys, hope you enjoy the new video! Remember these analysis videos are made to help you gain a deeper understanding and a more educated appreciation of the song. There’s always more than meets the eye when it comes to a recording. Thanks for watching! 🎶
Born again plz
These videos are unbelievably helpful to me being a musician trying to create music that has more of a blend with 80s metal, and modern metal. I would absolutely love it if you could do born again, such a beautiful, hard hitting, and melodic metal song. Also your analysis is so professional and helpful, I cannot say it enough. You're an amazing musician Lonny keep it up. 🤘
Hi Lonny! I've missed a lot of your videos for sure ..and this is one of them!
Great stuff ..I love everything related to sound and production and it was great to know the other side of BVB recordings jajaj
Jake also has a great job on this for us , too..
I love Black by Pearl Jam,too, and now I know that litlle trick that I hadn' t noticed ..
I love Ament's bassplaying, so groovy, especially on this song...which I think is my preferred from PJ
I was a bit delusioned that we won't be able to have BVB in Argentina, but I know it's not your business, great bands have not the possibility to come, nor us to see them live, because our baddest economy...so Rock enterprises can't cost the shows..
It's all a mess!
But I have recently come back into The Phantom and I am so happy to listen to it and know that you are on the road...
Thanks a lot Lonny!
Great video for sure! I love learning all the details, tricks and background stories! 😊
I don't know if you'd have access or speak to those, but getting an analysis of songs like
- God Bless You,
- Faithless,
- Ballad Of The Lonely Hearts and/or
- Throw The First Stone.
If not, maybe
- Crimson Skies,
- Born Again
or just any TPT song would be awesome.
Of course a Bleeders one would be amazing too, as I've commented on the previous.
Bringing you into BVB was probably the best decision they could have made judging from this video alone. Very skilled and helpful. You also seem like a cool dude to be around as well
Thanks so much! Happy and honored to be a part of it all. 🤘🏻😎
Not gonna lie I loved the breakdown part.. I am team Lonny all the way...
🤜🏻🤛🏻
ah yes. another analysis video to enjoy
seriously, I really enjoy this series on your channel
Same
Thanks Caleb! I’m going to try and expand upon this series in the coming months. I have a blast making these types of videos and look forward to growing the series with future songs.
It's so interesting to see how all of the separate parts come together into one awesome song!
Remember stream Scarlet Cross for more recognition
Scarlet Cross has to be one of my all time favorite songs. It was rad to see the parts behind it.
Wow !! When you told the story of Scarlet Cross, it was like that. What! : 0, all this time we would have listened to that different part, but it was still great with the change, and likewise I love the solo !!, Even my cousin who does not listen to this musical genre, she likes this song !! Good Video Lonny !!!
I'm being my usual self when I dive deep into a new hyperfixation, and I'm quietly consuming all this content I didn't know existed, so, sorry in advance for my deeply late comment, Lonny. These analysis videos are SO much fun. As a baby audio mixer, I LOVE listening to these breakdowns and hearing your explanations of decisions made, how elements work together, etc. You help me hear distinct pieces of the songs, AND how they come together so beautifully.
I also wanted to shout out your necklace, because, unless I'm seeing incorrectly, I THINK that's a One Final Fight necklace from Never Take It Off...which I just fucking love. It's really endearing to me how you get to live your actual dream, and you take us alongside you to experience it. Keep rocking, my friend.
I'm in public with no earbuds yet i still wanted to watch this so i took a risk and played it out loud lol great video keep doing what you do because it seems to make people happy!🖤❤🖤❤🖤
Same
Just when I thought I got this song out of my head, Lonny said “haha nope”
Teasing us with the Phantom Tomorrow cd 😜 great vid as always Lonny!!!
How do you have these emojis? They look cool
Edit: nvm I found it XD
Haha yup! Soon enough we’ll all have a copy. 💿👍🏻
That bass breakdown was awesome. Maybe bring it back for the live version on tour??
I truly appreciate the videos you put out. My uncle really loves the song.He calls me up a lot to tell me how kickass of band BVB is and how much Scarlet Cross rules. He hears it on our favorite rock station here in northern Idaho Z Rock 96.5. Scarlet is heavily played on our favorite rock station. I hope someday BVB can partner with the station to do something with them. Your analysis videos are always intriguing to see how a song is created. It's so great to see you and Jake advertising your bands new CD. I would totally love to have a Fields of Bone or Crimson Skies analysis. Partly because of my huge geeking over the gang vocals the band upgrade from the woah ohs to I don't have words to explain how amazing you all sound as a group singing together in a choir session. I remember watching how Avenged Sevenfolds self titled album was created and they used gang vocals. So it's very satisfying knowing BVB is all about them gang vox band. 🤘
Definitely!! Thanks so much for your comment. More videos and songs on the way! 👍🏻
@@LonnyEagletonMusic You’re very welcome. I look forward to seeing them. In the meantime I am stoked to see “Torch” on the 13th. Best of wishes to you, Rhita, and now Mila.
Honestly, everybody in the band seems so much happier with you in Ashley's place, Lonny! Looking forward to the album!
I just caught myself analizing the song!
This was really interesting! These analysis videos are so good.
Also I think you should do Crimson Skies next in this series, it’s one of my favourite Black Veil Brides songs.
I have this song stuck in my head. Very catchy and good bass line.
Love love love!!!!!! It was amazing to see how the song came together. Definitely one of my favorites!!!
So much talent here!!
So friggin cool man! I've always been a huge fan of the background ambience on this song. I would've loved to see that little bass solo stick around too 😉
Right?!?! It’s such a badass part haha. I guess as bassists though we’re both kinda biased 😉
These breakdowns are always so amazing! It's insane how many pieces make up a song, love it lonny!
I love when you play along with the guitar and bass parts. So much fun to watch. You’re the best Lonny!
i love the tease with seeing the advanced CD. This was really cool. i really enjoy the break down of the song. Hearing those parts that are hidden but help the song so much. I adore what a fan you are of your own band. its nova! And i loved the little bass/drum breakdown. maybe it will be released as an extended version of the song! bonus track!
4:15 CC GOD 🛐
Hello!! I love the analysis videos!! Aamd your so right, I listened to the Pearl Jam song and the guitar starts kinda simple then it opens up like you said and it really sound awesome!! And Jake did really good on the solo!!
And on your last video I said that I started playing guitar and now I second on bass! I play its on 2 out of 5 of the songs ( I'm Ina basic band thing so there's multiple songs )and its fun!!
It’s a cool technique, right?! Great for intros. Glad to hear your playing is coming along too! Keep it up my friend. 👊🏻😎
Lonnie you do such a fantastic job of breaking it down!.
really cool to see how this was all put together!
I really like that part! It was really cool
It is amazing to see how all the different parts of the song come together to create the masterpiece we all know and love. I love hearing the little background information from the songs as well of what goes on behind the scenes. Today has been a great day and your video just made it even better thank you! 🖤
Thank you Sian! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Always a privilege to have you as a channel member supporting the videos. You’re the best. Thanks for helping to make them possible. 🙌🏻
I love these types of videos so much
I saw the scarlet cross video at the premiere and I was shocked, I still didn't believe it and I waited to see if you analyzed it, I just love listening to the songs in all their splendor and their details :3
Scarlet Cross is one of my favorite BVB songs, so it was really cool to see the analysis and the story behind the song's production. Also, that extra breakdown sounded really fucking cool, I'm definitely Team Lonny on that decision (even though the song is amazing without it too). And who doesn't love one of Jake's guitar solos? Awesome video, thanks Lonny!
Loved this
That part at the end of the Opening Riff where it starts out Lo-Fi and merges into the intro is something that Bullet For My Valentine recently did in a song titled "Over It" in their most recent album Gravity.
Your intro is amazing 🎸
Wow Lonny this was amazing! I absolutely agree with you about knowing when to blend in with the band and then when to open up and let loose! Even for me working on all the marching band music and playing it with the backtracks to work on it I am constantly aware of when to bring it out and when to blend. I absolutely love these kind of videos that you do. It really makes everything you talk about really pop out in the song when you go back to listen to it. I leave August 11th for Boise to go and move in and start band camp on the 12th and I can’t wait! I am also going to see because one of my section leaders told me about this trombone choir they have and invited me to join and I definitely want to go for that experience while I am waiting a year to get readjusted before doing band and probably jazz band again! I love your videos keep up the amazing content as always your guitar playing on this video was ama you nailed it. Thanks for being a huge inspiration for me and how much you have been supporting me Lonny you are absolutely amazing and it absolutely makes my whole world having you as a role model be so supportive! Also update within a couple of weeks of just practicing for an hour each day I am now able to double and triple tongue and am so excited about the progress I am noticing as I continue to move forward in practicing! Once again amazing job Lonny I absolutely love your content! I can’t wait to see you guys October 12th I went to hot topic the other day and was able to get the new phantom of tomorrow shirt so am so excited to wear it to the concert!
Wyoooow! This breakdown is really cool! Man, you best, thx for this
I love the bass/drum breakdown I kinda wish it was there too! But it's still hands down one of my favorite songs
Thank you so much for this Lonny, I really love the analysis series!!
love this type of videos of yours! it's such a cool and intresting concept, please keep making them🖤
That breakdown would be dope live, just keep it on a loop. Something to give the audience some suspense and keep us on the edge!
Really love these series Lonny you're awesome 🖤💜
Hey Lonny love the video, and i hope you have an amazing day!
I hope that the album has some bass in the forefront! Especially since that groove section was cut
This really helped me understand and it sounds amazing...its an amazing song in general
19 1/2 minutes and I feel like I just watched the most amazing music class. You’re really good at breaking things down and explaining them. Thank you so much for making this video, Lonny.
Suggestions for a future video in this series: Anything from the new album that’s been released, Rebel Love Song, Revelation, Die For You, and/or, the one I’ve had stuck in my head for a fortnight, Drag Me To The Grave
My man Lonny always gives us high quality content ❤️
Really descriptive for the analysis of the song! Keep up the good work! 😎🤘🏼
I love watching videos like this.
This song is always stuck in my head.
I missed you!! It's nice to see you on RUclips again :D
Rad analysis as always, I love you :)
I really love how you've broken down one of the best songs off the album!
It’s fun to watch these and understand or learn to understand all the different parts of the song. Anxiously waiting for October 29th can’t wait to hear all the songs from the phantom tomorrow.
I really liked that bass breakdown that was taken out, it gives such a good bridge, a soft kinda build to the loud guitar solo, it would have followed the pattern that the rest of the song has. I can see why they would take it out, but I agree with you, I would've voted to keep it. Especially with that music box added in, although personally I wouldn't have had it layered above the bass and drums but that's just me. It still gives that effect I've seen the guys use in Wretched and Divine. It gives an impression of innocence and yearning to learn more about the world around us since its usually associated with children/youth.
A great perspective Ashton! I hadn’t thought of it that way better. A very cool analogy.
Yeah I really like the breakdown too and would have loved to see it stay, but at the end of the day music creation is all about compromise. Really I’m just happy to see the song do so well. 😊
@@LonnyEagletonMusic I'm glad you guys all came to a great decision in the end. I'm so proud of you guys for breaking through more than ever, this is a massive comeback for BVB. Being in a band is definitely a teamwork based career lol. I still love whatever makes you guys happy to write and play, I just want to see you guys proud of your own collective creation! :)
I’ve been waiting for this analysis man. As a person who’s been wanting to do music, this is just beyond fucking awesome man! I wish I could learn from you in person. Nice man🤘🏽
Crazy! I heard things i have never heard before! You really do idolize your band members! That bass and drum solo was awesome! After that video I think this song is my absolute favorite song!
It’s a gooder! One of my favorites too. Top 5 at least.
I love your videos, Lonny! Thanks for this, it makes my days a lot better! :)
Always happy to teach and entertain! Thanks Chloe. 😊
Really dig these, Lonny. Keep 'em coming!
More on the way! 😎
HELL! YES! Been waiting for this video for so long! So excited to see this!
Took me a couple weeks to edit it all together but thanks for standing by! Enjoy!
@@LonnyEagletonMusic thanks again for the video Lonny! I’m already enjoying this and learning interesting things
Nice mix. Excellent production. Loved the musical breakdown and explanation. You all are wonderful and talented musicians!
Keep it coming.
JM
I'm a newbie. This was the 1st BVB song I heard. Got addicted to all of them from that day on hahaha
This video was really interesting to watch and find out components that we didn't even know where there. I would love to see you do s video like this one for Crimson skies please. A amazing video all together Lonny welldone
You finally got it out😂 Loved watching this! Definitely makes me appreciate the process of making music even more, even after learning this song by ear on my flute and really listening to the different parts of a song. The bass and drum breakdown would’ve been so great to have been kept in the song, we need a Lonny and CC moment! Rad as always Lonski!🤘
Hi Lonny! I loved the video! Thank you for the analysis you make on your channel, I like all of them and I am always waiting for more! PD: I prefer the song with the interlude too, it was great!! But the song is still mental as it is! Hugs ❤
Thank you so much,Lonny). Its a pretty cool vid)
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Hey, Lonny!! Love these videos! Plz do "In the end" next !! I love all your guys music :) They r all amazing !!!!!! Blessings to You & the rest of BVB XX
I love these analysis, it really opens the songs fully in different ways, personally to me Scarlet Cross is everything, it's magnificent masterpiece, Lonny you brought the real spirit in BVB, thank you for saving this incredible band, BVB is totally complete now and it's so heartwarming to see your huge talents working so perfectly together!!!! 🤘🏻🖤
Analysis of "Fields of Bone" would be so fantastic to see next 😊😊
Once again thank you Lonny!!!! 🤘🏻🖤
I missed you! Great Job as always!!
Thanks Debby! Glad you enjoyed the video!!
😍😍😍 thank you for sharing!!! You’re so talented
My pleasure Casey!!
It’s nice to hear the isolated versions to see how nice they sound on their own and how well they each contribute to the song
What perfect timing! I was listening to isolated vocals today from various bands, so all these snips were a great treat. 👍
Edit: Wow, that interlude sounded awesome! 🤩 I get why they cut it, but I'm glad you shared it anyway.
Hi Lonny! Thanks for the video, it's interesting to see how the song was made, the sounds, the drums sounds amazing!
Yeah the drums slam! 🥁💥 CC is a beast!
bass and drum breakdown was sick… i can see why you guys took it out but it would definitely be nice to see you and cc get some love somewhere else
Agreed! 😎🎸🥁
The verse synth is so dreamy 🖤
This was actually really helpful, thanks for making this video! I have learned new skills!
Also, holy crap that pre-chorus synth gave me chills
It’s a great part! Thanks for watching! 😎👍🏻
No problem dude, happy to support a fellow lad of the North! Keep being awesome!
i’m coming to see y’all in dallas in september and y’all should DEFINITELY play the bass solo there 😔😔
Damn this video is 🔥!! You are so talented, we missed you Lonny! 🖤
Thanks Kelly! Packaged up your merch order today. Will be shipping out tomorrow. Thanks for ordering!
@@LonnyEagletonMusic Thank you so much Lonny! Always a pleasure to support you any way possible!
I come back daily to this video to listen to the breakdown. Why did no one vote for it😞
I loved the drum and bass section, I would love to hear the full uncut version of the song, cuz I think I would love it just as much as the version we’ve got
Ayyy you took up on my advice showing the tracks on screen! My dad and I use the same recording program (drawing blanks on what they’re actually called 😂😂😭) we also use le pro tools 😁
Yes! Excellent advice. I’m always looking for ways to improve my uploads so thanks for your input! 😊
@@LonnyEagletonMusic of course! Glad I could help!
Love this series and your channel. Thank you for everything you've shared. Having you in BVB is the great decision ever. .
Hey Rin, thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words. All the best! 🙏🏻
Stream Scarlet Cross guys :)
Hey Lonny you may not see this since it’s been a week since you uploaded but I am just now getting around to watch this and I saw the teaser for torch. It comes out on my brothers birthday and it just so happens this week is the fourth anniversary of his death and it’s been a hard week realizing that but seeing the Torch teaser and realizing that it’s coming out on his 25th birthday made me and my mom smile and so I am even more excited for Torch now. Anyways. Amazing video as always Lonny! And I can’t wait to meet you September 18th
So sorry to hear of your loss Taylor. I can’t imagine how difficult that must be. Just remember that he is still with us in spirit wherever we are. These things never seem to get easier, we just learn to live with them. ❤️🙏🏻
@@LonnyEagletonMusic thank you so much Lonny you don’t know how much that means to me❤️
Loved the bass and drum break down but I still think the song was better without it. No offense Lonny. I still love everything you Black Veil Brides do!!!
Lonny, you flexing hard on us with that Scarlet Cross CD in the corner the whole video 😂 Great video as always. Love how there is always something hidden that you would never pick out when listening. But, if it wasn't there it would make things so different. That's a shame about that bass/Drum breakdown! That sounded so cool right before the solo. I could see that having been the intro (Kinda like "The Legacy") or a cool outro also. Would love to see you analyze Fields of Bone and Crimson Skies like this also! If you have time, I recently made a cover vid of Crimson Skies, if you wanna check it out. I liked how you broke the added effects down and showed us how to achieve that in recordings. More of that that would be cool to see!
Right on man! Totally. Will check out your cover right now! 🤘🏻🎸
@@LonnyEagletonMusic appreciate it, brother! Hope you and the wife are doing well!
Lonny- Personally the bass an guitar solor (i think/hope i got that right lol) sounded amazing before it got cut out I mean yeh the song is doing good but heck haha it woulda been cool if that was kept in their honestly but I do agree with you on being disappointed on that because who wouldn't be haha but overall the song is always sounding amazing as ever along with y'all making it sound badass
Some artists have extended versions of songs added on to albums, kind of like bonus content, next time can do that when is something you think is worth keeping. Love the video, the transitions and hearing things apart from each other, thanks for the behind the scenes part of the music!
For sure! Thanks Kristen! We’ll keep that in mind. 👌🏻
Thanks so much for posting! I love seeing the production/behind the scenes aspect of things that we, as an audience, don't really get to see. Super interesting to me! 😁 As for which song to break down next... can I say all? Is that a choice? I can't decide! Great vid as always! 🤘❤️🖤
The pleasure is all mine Saia. Thank you for taking the time to watch and learn! Thinking I’ll do We Stitch These Wounds next. But we’ll see!
@@LonnyEagletonMusic That would be killer!
Ya extrañaba a Lonny
x2 🤧
I gotta agree with you on keeping the part you were out voted on, Lonny. In my opinion, it created a different flavor in the song, it was short, but it really worked. The final decision certainly works as well, but I liked that change. Bass in the foreground like that brings a sense of darkness to a song, and that sounded really cool I thought. The one thing about BVB I've always wished for was a bigger Bass sound, and it was oh so close! :-) Jake's ( and Jinx') solo was great as well, you can easily sing to it which I thought was awesome.
Analysis "Fields of bones" please.
Love the whoa whoa's
aaa hYOU have a copy of the album ! i can't ait to recieve mine when it's out i pre-order early lol ^^
love this video, it's always good to learn more ^^
💿✅
❤
We missed you:(
Lonny! I love these videos!!! Would you consider doing torch next?
Possibly! I’ll keep that one in mind. Thanks.
You should do In the End or Knives and Pens next. These are awesome!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🤘🏼
Hey Lonny, thanks for this video, I learnt a lot of things and it's always super interesting to see how a song (and what an awesome song!) is made. You're excellent at doing that 😊 Could you make the same thing for In The End or Fields of Bone? Thanks, have a nice day, take care and much love xxx
Hey Alice, glad you liked the new video! In The End, and Fields Of Bone would make great videos for this series. I’ll keep them in mind! Thank you!
