Literally BLACKPINK as a project was as a 2NE1 replacement, a lot of their debut music were 2NE1 songs. You are right, it’s a testament to their hard work and talent that BLACKPINK is as successful as they are but they literally weren’t even allowed creative input to their music until they busted their behinds and earned the love and support of worldwide fans. Both groups were wronged by YG and both groups are still amazing talented women. That’s the point I got from this video, I think. I love that message. Even though they have a new CEO, there is still clear differences in treatment between male idols and female idols and it's disgusting and problematic.
So where is all of this music now that she left? That last album had a few almost good songs...just missed the Teddy touch to make them great. She was great, but the production was off. Most of these artists who left have done very little to take note of. They are known for their time at YG.
I felt really bad for Lee Hi, she has been with the company for 7 years but YG barely promoted her or put out comebacks for her despite having an insane amount of talent even at a young age heck she the was the freaking runner up for K-Pop star! Not to forget they put on her on a diet when she was still a child and said in a post on naver “How to become beautiful? It’s a diet”. Lee Hi was at a perfectly amount of weight when we first saw her on K-Pop star why? Because that’s what any 16 year old girl would look like and looked perfectly healthy there was absolutely nothing wrong with her appearance. The diet YG put on Lee Hi was unnecessary she was already beautiful to begin with. But I’m glad she finally parted ways with them and joined AOMG.

As a Blackjack it was disappointing and heartbreaking to hear of the disbanding. I always imagined what could have happened if 2ne1 stayed. Like if they were treated better. We could have had crossover albums with blackpink. A cool duo possibility with Jennie and CL, a ballad single with Park Bom and Rose. But no, YG doesn't know how to manage two girl groups at the same time and protect them.

actually YG treats all his bands pretty badly. BIGBANG created themselves and, aside from GD and Taeyang, the others as soloists were treated very badly. Ikon and Winner have had mixed promotions but they are not helped by the agency either. Blackpink even worse because Teddy doesn't let the girls write or help him write their songs, they only recently did. The fact that the BPs are the new version of 2ne1 does not only apply to YG. YG has been looking for the new BIGBANG for years, (Winner was supposed to be the new version but they immediately distanced themselves enough) because all the companies are like this, Sm is an example, Fx》 RV》 Aespa, for JYP Wonder Girls》 Miss A》 Twice》 Itzy. What really shocked me was that someone leaked that CL had around 200 songs already written and prepared and they were all rejected.
So where is all of this music now that she left? That last album had a few almost good songs...just missed the Teddy touch to make them great. She was great, but the production was off. Most of these artists who left have done very little to take note of. They are known for their time at YG.
I felt really bad for Lee Hi, she has been with the company for 7 years but YG barely promoted her or put out comebacks for her despite having an insane amount of talent even at a young age heck she the was the freaking runner up for K-Pop star! Not to forget they put on her on a diet when she was still a child and said in a post on naver “How to become beautiful? It’s a diet”. Lee Hi was at a perfectly amount of weight when we first saw her on K-Pop star why? Because that’s what any 16 year old girl would look like and looked perfectly healthy there was absolutely nothing wrong with her appearance. The diet YG put on Lee Hi was unnecessary she was already beautiful to begin with. But I’m glad she finally parted ways with them and joined AOMG.
WOW I didn't know about the dieting - she looked healthy. YG always says "it's not about looks", but behind closed doors they push the 'never can be skinny enough' HARMFUL narrative. Look what they did to Park Bom & berating her for eating corn & she wasn't even fat!

She was even suppossed to get so much hits now we know including justin's let me live you. She was the only korean female soloist on the billboard hot 100 list and it was in 2017 streams kpop internet wasn't like this, to this day to 2021 no one didn't do this till rose. Like CL was that big. Nicki liked comment about collabing with her. Everyone was showing love to her. At the and, yg didn't let her do anything. She leaved yg. She went through a lot. And recently she said she gave them everything, all the songs she wrote, all the mvs and left.

actually YG treats all his bands pretty badly. BIGBANG created themselves and, aside from GD and Taeyang, the others as soloists were treated very badly. Ikon and Winner have had mixed promotions but they are not helped by the agency either. Blackpink even worse because Teddy doesn't let the girls write or help him write their songs, they only recently did. The fact that the BPs are the new version of 2ne1 does not only apply to YG. YG has been looking for the new BIGBANG for years, (Winner was supposed to be the new version but they immediately distanced themselves enough) because all the companies are like this, Sm is an example, Fx》 RV》 Aespa, for JYP Wonder Girls》 Miss A》 Twice》 Itzy. Each group that comes out in Big3 is an updated and "improved" version of the previous one.
