- First clear of the game from back in February. Never uploaded it since I thought I would play the game more but I never did.
Crimzon Clover World Ignition is a port of the arcade Nesica release of Crimzon Clover. The arcade version improved the doujin version in pretty much every single way. The best shmup on Steam alongside Ikaruga and the closest thing to a Cave game on Steam.
Tons and tons of survival and scoring mistakes everywhere.
Might come back to the game later now that the superplay DLC has been released and much more about the game has become known.
This is totally not filler to make up for not uploading anything in a while.

Amazing run! Seeing you die a few times, especially by the snakes in Stage 3, makes me feel A LOT better about hitting a wall in Stage 3, and I'm not routing or Breaking anywhere near as efficiently as you are. This was a joy to watch!
This game is basically *what if Cave made Rayforce*

Wait, I play on a switch and it has different music! The section at 13:00 has frantic piano.
Should I always use double break mode when I am playing for scoring?
Kaze_Senshi Well since double breaks quadruple your current break-rate multiplier you essentially want to use double breaks as much as possible during the game. Preferably you do this during sections with tons of enemies and enemies that have a high base-value so that you can really cash-in during the duration of the break.
The easiest way to figure out how and where to score is to of course watch a replay which is what the superplay DLC is for! The DLC also comes with a detailed list of the base-value for every enemy in the game and general strats on scoring.
Also note that instead of bomb stocks, you need a certain amount of break meter stocked up to bomb. The more you've done it on a life, the more you need.

I know this may be a bit late, but the game lags if windows has been running for too long. Restarting windows solves the problem

I love your videos ... Can you tell me which is the best control to play shmups ? Xbox controllers ou Dualshocks(PS3)?
+Near Sants A proper arcade stick (Hori, Madcatz, Qanba, etc.) with Japanese stick and buttons (Sanwa, Seimitsu, Hayabusa) is by far the best controller for shmups. Many hc-shmup players like Seimitsu sticks the best, but in the end of the day it's up to your own preferences.
And if i want to build one with that buttons and stick?

Does Break Mode power up your shots, or is it strictly for pumping up your score?
Break Mode does power up shots and lock-on weapons. Likewise, Double Break increases that power further.

Jaimers91 Thanks, i'm gonna test that. I just assumed it switched between shielded and unshielded.
iirc I think they call it a Bomb shield, which protects the boss when you clear the screen of bullets
It could have been a fantastic game if there was an intermediate difficulty, because while novice mode is fair and easily doable after a few runs, arcade mode difficulty is pure bullshit.
The only thing that makes this hard is the shit covering the screen.
None of the explosions cover anything other than the background. All the enemies and bullets are drawn above the explosions, the game is never anything short of 100% clear what you're dodging. It looks chaotic while watching, but anyone who's played for more than five minutes can see that comment for the bullshit it is.

@@Oneiroclast I'm a mega-noob but have to say I die the most when using Break mode cos I can't see the incoming fire so well.
@@Oneiroclast I think they're referring to the distracting medals that come in the thousands. It's visual vomit that does make it hard to concentrate.
