Im really proud to have an autographed helmet signed by this legend. Jim your one of the reasons why i love the Raiders. Legend and the definition of toughness and heart.
One of the greatest, no doubt. Makes me sad to see how crippled up he is, so many of those old time players living shambles of lives with pemantly debilitating injuries...
Actually if you had been there to see Otto move around, you would understand he's a man of great dignity. He does not let his mobility trouble him. Probably developed that mind-set "in the trenches". Glad I don't work there. Thanks for your comments and all the best in your own video work ...
To Edward Padilla: I watched your highlights and indeed, you know how to serve "pancakes"! Keep it up and those who know the game will recognize your ability to blow folks off the line. I particularly like how you hunt down linebackers ... and I'm a guy who loves defense! Keep it up this season and I wish you success on down the line. Otto would be proud of your gutty play.
Holy %$#@. Otto is one of the toughest men ever. I just read about how he lost his leg in the book "The Last Headbangers". Ugh - disgusting. Worse than d-day memoirs I've read. And he seems so understated and humble, even gracious. There are so fewer real men in the world anymore.
R.I.P JIM OTTO! heavens gained one of the best football players to walk in oakland
ALWAYS a Raider FAN. Bought Jim Otto Jersey. From Raiders store L.V. I love wearing it.
