I'm so glad your surgery went well Cara, and that you are feeling so much better now. Your makes are wonderful and I love the positivity, joy and passion you bring to your sewing vlog. Please continue to share as much as you wish - you are truly inspirational! ❤
Lovely catch up Cara, so glad to hear your surgery went well with a good outcome. Love all your sews, yeah you for the alterations 👏👏. Look forward to your next chat, have a great week.
Lovely to see you Cara, so happy that your operation went well and that you are recovering. The Maison Fauve patterns are beautiful, I haven’t tried them yet but hopefully soon. ❤❤
What a wonderful round up. I am soooo delighted with your news and recovery from your operation ❤ Wow - I know I’ve said it to you before but those MF patterns are stunning and as always you look absolutely stunning in them ❤ Well done you in unpicking your brooklyns they are such a wonderful pair of trousers, I’m so glad that they are now adapted to your size. Lovely video - thank you 🥰❤️
You look amazing in leopard print and that style looks very elegant on you - hoping it may do the same for me! Your makes are beautiful and certainly inspirational. Love your positive outlook and like everyone else in the chat wishing you good health.
I’m so glad you’ve come through such an unsettling time with great news. Glad you’re feeling well enough to get back to what you love. I can’t believe how many lovely things you managed to make for the summer season 😊. Take care xx
Oh wow, no wonder I feel so drawn to you. I've been in dentistry for 30 years and I worked my way up to administration. ❤ I've now retired from dentistry and moved on and work at a university now. How wonderful, I love that you shared that info....us dental people have to stick together. ❤😅
Yay how lovely is that! Do you know that Emily the owner and designer from Maison Fauve is actually a dentist by profession, and doesn’t practice now, but that’s what she trained as, isn’t that amazing! It’s so lovely to hear from you x
It’s wonderful to hear that your surgery was so successful and the news was positive! Keep resting u. It’s amazing how exhausting surgery recovery can be. Beautiful makes, as usual.
You sure have been a busy lady - very happy for you that you recovered well from surgery and received good news thereafter. All of your makes a beautiful, I admire your energy and accomplishments. Thanks for all your time and effort on your channel and sharing your passion for sewing!
I’m very happy to hear your the surgery went well and that you’re in the clear. Lovely to see your Maison Fauve makes in more detail and your precious fabric makes, too. Hurricane Helene hit Horseshoe Beach Thursday. The amount of damage is utterly staggering. Fortunately, our family vacation home wasn’t destroyed, but did sustain major damage. Haven’t been sewing much for a few days, but am ready to get back to it. Happy sewing, Cara.
Gosh Laura I hope you and yours are ok, wow, nature, it’s so unpredictable isn’t it. Puts everything else into perspective really. I hope you’re ok, I’m thinking of all those affected x
So happy all is well. What a beautiful job they did, the scar is already hardly visible. Please share your life as you see fit, I love hearing about it. All of it makes you the sewist you are so never feel like you shouldn't share about it.
So glad to see you back with us and with your op done and dusted. Such good news about the all clear, too. I hope your sew-jo is rejuvenated very soon, but recovery is so much more important. Well done for altering your trousers. Alterations are my nemesis!
Lovely to hear your very positive news . You are looking well, but please look after yourself, and take time to rest . Looking forward to seeing your next makes.xx
Thank you for sharing your news and I am so sew happy that you will be fine. You are looking well, Cara. Congratulations on continuing with your work, sew devotedly!
Hi Cara, And still you come up smiling! I’m so glad that everything turned out positively for you and now you can put it all behind you, fully rested. Please don’t let people correcting you make you doubt yourself, I work on a hospital switchboard and some of the names that come up look like the opening letters in a game of scrabble! Apparently if you say the name with confidence people tend not to question it 🤣. It’s just some peoples nature to ‘help’ and it’s about them! I always feel awkward saying Scone as I say it as in ‘Stone’ yet it seems more popular to say it as in ‘One’… but I feel silly when I say it like that… well, who cares really 🤷🏻♀️. I would love for you to show us some of your favourite little details that you’ve come across in the various designer patterns you’ve used and show how they are created so that we could add them into other designs to personalise our style and take us to the next level. Like adding a puffed sleeve eg, colour blocking, adding a shelf bra etc. I’m personally interested in how we can use certain style lines to hide out least favourite giggly bits (thank you Bridget Jones 🤣), and how to choose the patterns to create a bespoke outfit, choosing the right cut for the different layers. Hopefully something in there will spark some interest for you, maybe you could ask for some tips from your designer friends? Looking forward to seeing your next vlog already xx
Thank you so much, your words of encouragement mean the world to me, that’s so lovely. Gosh some wonderful ideas there, let me give that some thought and see what I can come up with, that’s really amazing of you. I hope you’ve got some sewing planned too? Thanks again x
Who cares if you don't pronounce the pattern company correctly, rude people, this isn't a Grammer blog, its a sewing blog. So happy your health is in check and you're on the mend❤
@@sosewmad lol, it made sense to my 20 year old high school French hearing. 😂 but I'm with Cindy, if you don't speak French, why should it be expected for you be able to pronounce the French correctly? Probably way better than most American creators.... even if we did take French in school way back when.
Wow! What amazing recent weeks you’ve been through! Not a visual sign of worry through all your videos! So glad you are well and getting better and squeezing in some recovery! Take care!
Thank you so much, I live a great life and I’m grateful for it, I like everyone else has concerns in their life but sewing brings me such joy, I’m very lucky
Oh my goodness. I'm so glad everything has checked out ok. I can say that I truly love watching your videos and I'm so very glad your ok, our prayers answered. I can't wait to see you start sewing up a storm again. 😊❤ I love the things you make. 😊
Very happy to hear your good health news. Regarding fear of sewing into the good stuff etc... I'm a bit like that but lately I kept telling myself it's only fabric!! And seriously, the shops will never run out of beautiful fabric for us to try!
Lovely Cara, I am absolutely thrilled about your clean bill of health! What a weight off your shoulders. I am back in NY but sewing will have to wait a bit longer! Having left my husband, daughter and dog alone for 3+ weeks, our house is a bit chaotic! 🙃 I did manage to sneak in a bit of tailoring and alteration sewing for one of my sisters and it made me so ridiculously happy, she laughed at me. After seeing your makes up close, I do already have plans in my head for a couple of the new Maison Fauve collection pieces and fabrics. My goal for the colder months is to make more coordinating, comfortable and stylish stay-at-home clothes. I wouldn't worry about mispronouncing words from another language either. We do our best and believe me, other countries mispronounce English words just as much. You're a fabulous ambassador for Maison Fauve and they don't seem to mind how you pronounce their products. Happy recovery, happy sewing, happy life! 💛💐
You really are amazing Rita! I bet your sister was delighted to have her own personal seamstress ❤️ Gosh your trip sounds absolutely amazing, but I can only imagine what you came home to! Lots of plans ahead, I love the change of seasons, and as a fellow MF super fan I know you’ll have some ideas . Which of the new collection do you favour? Thank you so much for buying me a Kofi today I genuinely will imagine being with you catching up on our adventures. Hopefully our paths will cross next year!
@@sosewmad Oh my gosh, you are so nice Cara. It is my pleasure to support you. I get so much out of our chats and your videos, and your positivity! Yes, my sister was funny. She asked me to shorten a new shirt, then she brought out a pair of jeans, and so it went. I still have a long list of things that need attending at home, but when I have a min I want to get the Déferlante Blouse and the Récif Pants. I love your blouse using the red MF lace fabric. I hope you won't mind, but I'm totally copying you. I'm too short to have the wide bottoms on the legs, so will bring them in a bit and maybe lengthening them since we are heading into colder months. I've already given my husband a heads up that when we come to the UK in March, I will figure out a way for you and I to hopefully meet, somewhere between Birmingham and London. ☺
We definitely can meet somewhere! I am super tempted to come up to Birmingham, I know you’d like to go to g&g that would be amazing fun! I have a wonderful vision of your sister handing you items first adjustment out of her wardrobe 😅 how lucky is she to have you in her life, just wonderful. Love the sounds of your MF plans, I hope you get to some sewing soon!
Such great news!🥰 Hope you get lots of rest and then get back to sewing since I think that might be the best medicine in your case. So glad to see you looking so good and in great spirits. Love to you! Can't wait to see what you make next! 🌹💐💞🌻🌞
I absolutely love love the Maison fauve top and it suits you so well. Also love the trousers and those beautiful details. you have such a beautifully made, stylish wardrobe! 😍
Greetings from Atlanta! 🇺🇸 So wonderful to hear your good news! I was blessed with early detection breast cancer last year and I can certainly empathize with your relief and joy! I see your serger sitting behind you. I have spent the week tackling my machine and am thrilled with the rolled hem. I would love to see some of your serging. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Kasey, I’m delighted about your news too. I love my serger, use it all the time! I’ll try and add more footage of that, rolled hems are awesome aren’t they!
That is such good news! So glad you're feeling better and it's all now behind you. We had a similar fortuitous find for hubby - an incidental discovery from a routine blood test...now being followed up for cancer treatment.
GDay from Australia, lovely video once again. So glad you had a very positive outcome with your operation. You are such a lovely human being. Happy sewing to you.❤ x
Lovely to see your MaisonFauve makes. It was very reassuring to hear about your operation. I have something coming up which sounds very similar. To see how your scar has nearly gone and how you have got over everything.
Lovely to see you back and to know that you’re well! Wonderful news , Cara and I must say you really do look fabulous in all your beautiful makes! I hope you don’t feel under pressure to keep the camera rolling if you need some time out after such a busy and stressful time. However, if you could think of some tips and suggestions for the (knitting and) stitching festival I’d be interested to hear those please. I only sew btw. I’m going on the Friday 11th. Take care and thanks, Sue ❤
I’m so happy your surgery went well! I didn’t catch the name of the white stretch pants w/the LB pullover. I need the pattern!! I do enjoy your channel😊
Woohoo! So happy to see you back and doing well💐! I love seeing what all you are making and thinking about - which patterns and fabrics. I am just finished with the projects from the sewing class I was taking and want to make the Grenadine skirt next. So thank you also for that inspiration!
So pleased you are clear, you are always so chipper. I had a lump in my groin so I understand how worried you must have felt. Great news. I love the cream outfit it looks like cables. Did you get that from Birmingham. I am going in a few weeks with Becki and would love to look for something like that. Fingers crossed. Xxx
Oh bless you, thank you for understanding how I felt, I’m so glad it’s behind me. Have a wonderful time with Becky that’ll be amazing. Yes it’s a Jaquard ponte, always pot luck at the market but fingers crossed you’ll find something suitable, thanks again x
You must be so relieved with your results, such good news. Ji really want to make the Tempete blouse for winter. Do you think it would look good in a thin brushed cotton?
Ive been surprised how even 18 pounds has made a big difference for how my pants fit. Not holding out much hope that any of them will fit after I lose 50 even the ones I got 75 pounds ago..... they are just likely too stretched out from the gain period I think.
I'm so glad your surgery went well Cara, and that you are feeling so much better now. Your makes are wonderful and I love the positivity, joy and passion you bring to your sewing vlog. Please continue to share as much as you wish - you are truly inspirational! ❤

I do enjoy your channel😊
Thank you so much, it’s lovely to hear from you. The trousers are the Derwent trousers by Wendy Ward from her book sewing with knits x
@@sosewmad I can’t believe it!! I have the book!!
Woohoo! So happy to see you back and doing well💐! I love seeing what all you are making and thinking about - which patterns and fabrics. I am just finished with the projects from the sewing class I was taking and want to make the Grenadine skirt next. So thank you also for that inspiration!
Thank you so much for getting in touch, you’ll love the Grenadine skirt, it’s such an amazing pattern x
Lovely to hear from you, as long as your fabric has drape it would be fine, a viscose twill might be more suitable x
@@sosewmad thank you
Please can you let me know the pattern for the white top and trousers? I couldn't make out what they are. Thank you
Yes of course it’s the LB pullover paper theory patterns and the Derwent trousers from the working with knit book by Wendy Ward x
I also don’t make a toile. Never once in 62 years of sewing.
Love this! How wonderful, thank you for getting in touch
Ive been surprised how even 18 pounds has made a big difference for how my pants fit. Not holding out much hope that any of them will fit after I lose 50 even the ones I got 75 pounds ago..... they are just likely too stretched out from the gain period I think.
Wow that’s amazing!
Speaking? So
Not sure what you mean
