Doing both seems like overkill but perhaps that's just me. I love Ilia products, the serum foundation looks fantastic on you, it's your skin but better!!

I've never used rubbing alcohol prior or heard of degreasing the skin. My blade does catch, too, and so I spend a good 24 hours with some sensitive skin. Great tip! I'm also going to add this moisturizer and maybe the Ilia to my wish list. The ingredients look amazing!

I work around moles for sure. I don’t avoid milia and skin tags are ok to work near but that’s a judgement call (if it’s tiny probably fine, big tag might not want to blade near it kind of thing....even though we like them gone! lol)

As an esthetician I have had dermaplaning treatments at many spas and I have been doing it myself for close to 15 years. I have tried so many devices and blades. This is going to sound crazy but the BEST tool I have found is the BIC single blade razors. They are the ones that come in different colors. The best blade for this kind of treatment to your skin, I’m not kidding. Get the single blade BIC razors. I get them at Walmart or Target.

But using cream such as the eye cream and moisturizer would it be too much after the nano needling and dermaplane. I ask bc usually after a microneedle we don't apply anything bc it could clogg open pores so I was curious to know the difference in what I can and can't do for both.

Omg, I did this protocol last night using the Ms. Gorgeous. First time, and I didn’t do too bad, just a couple knicks on both sides of my lower chin. The blades are long, so it was a bit hard for me to maneuver, but loved all the dead skin coming off, lol. Skin still looks a bit red today, but feels super soft! Will be doing this monthly. I just moved away from Portland to Seattle last August.... I hope Portland is safe and back to thriving soon.
I did my first dermaplane last week using the scalpel and 10R blade. I got my handle and 20 10R blades on eBay for about $15. It was shipped from the UK and took about a week. I had a really hard time getting the peach fuzz off my face. I had to go over my cheeks at least 3 times and when I was done I realized I only got the hair off the middle of my forehead. Any suggestions? You have become my go to when I need instruction on a new anti aging procedure. Thank you!

Which do you put on first please - the hyaluronic or the Queen? I have some patches of hyperpigmentation as well. If I were applying them separately I would put the queen on first then the HA 😊❤️

Hi Penn, I hope you have been doing well. I've enjoyed the Theraderm and recently discovered it works great as a cuticle remover too. It works quick and better than any product I've used retailed as a cuticle remover. I am confused on using SPF when indoors all day. I understand if I'm near windows throughout the day. But is there a reason to use it on days I'm only indoors and resting away from windows? Thank you for all your content!

@PENN.SMITH.SKINCARE Thank you for this video! I just bought the skin brightener from JJ Labs that you've recommended, but it sounds like you're using the 7-1 Serum now. Do you recommend that instead? I bought the M8 but have been too nervous to try medical needling for fear of PIH (skin type 3-4 here). If I use the JJ Labs and/or 7-1 Serum for a couple weeks prior to medical needling, do you think it'll be sufficient? Or should I get on a tretinoin regimen first? I'm dying to try MN but really don't want to exacerbate my hyperpigmentation and mild melasma I already have. Thank you in advance for any advice you may have! I absolutely adore your channel.

Not at all. At least not for me-it’s actually rather soothing (mostly because it re-hydrates the skin).
There are no alpha hydroxy acids to exfoliate-those (along with BHA) are the ones I find tend to sting most ❤️

I have done this with a men’s 5 blade razor before and then bought the Tingle Razors off of Amazon. So I. Mostly just getting the hair? What a bummer...I may try the Miss Gorgeous or I could just do needling or derma rolling and infuse serums that way. I don’t have the eyes for that detailed of work any,ore. I wish I did. I saw someone fibroblasting their face with this tool. I was like OMG I can’t believe they would do that DIY style. I mean good for her it sure works. She’s improved her skin so much. Me I’m just getting into the idea of doing my own more intense chemical peels, ang getting a Dr. Pen etc....That takes intense skill man! 😄😄
The 5 blade DOES get some dead skin! Just not as much as the scalpel. Skip the miss gorgeous. They are SHARP. If you think you might not see well (which I can appreciate I tell you what!) then a 5 blade razor is just fine! 💜
How do you get samples of stuff to try before you buy? I love these videos. They are so helpful. I have a list of products I need. I’m afraid to add the cost up. Lol
It all looks amazing but it will take me a little longer to get on board guess I’m just scared to start cause then it’s a permanent thing , exfoliating part would be just terrific but the regrowth is what concerns me I guess I’m still thinking waxing is better than just shaving it off at skin level , but I’ve saved the video to watch properly in my own time but this shaving is becoming the new thing for sure, another permanent expense as Id have to do it just penn does if I was too

The theraderm enzyme peel is currently not available and no date for restock my question is could you use the ELEMIS papaya enzyme peel and use it the same way as you do with the Theraderm . ELEMIS recommends that you put it on and leave it on for 15 minutes then wash off Appreciate your opinion thank you
This is really great Penny! I was Dermaplane Pro certified recently. They teach a little different technique but what they add which I really like is a few drops of oil to the skin immediately prior to dermaplaning. It helps the blade slide over the skin more easily. Yes! That’s another technique, I have always wanted to try it with oil but always stuck with what I learned and did in office.....maybe I’ll try oil next time! Cool! 😃
