  • This video features the unmarked trails and hills west of Juniper Trail at Carnegie. Great area for intermediate riders to work on single track, cornering, climbing, and descending hills skills. This area does relatively well during the rainy season after a couple of days of some sunny weather. The video combines video footage from a Skydio drone at multiple angles/distances as well as GoPro footage.

Good job on the video editing. That has to be a lot of work. This video has by far the best footage of Carnegie Park. The fog, editing, hills in the background, very cool how you caught it all.

I appreciate the feedback. Yes, it is very time consuming stitching video from multiple GoPro and Skydio videos as well as trying to synchronize the switching with the music. But it keeps me busy and the final product is my reward. As time goes by and I do more videos I hope to get better at it. Thanks again for supporting the channel with your viewing and positive comments.

@@jeh1n Those drone shots really show how insignificantly small we are compared to the terrain around us. Impressive!

@@ninerminer370 Yep, watch my Hollister Hills videos if you have not done so yet. Someday I plan to post a video of Hollister Hills of just flying around the trails with my DJI drone.

Great video. Is that a GPS system on your handle bars? If so, what brand is it?

I carry a Garmin inReach mini with me, but what is mounted to my handlebars is a Tripltek tablet and the beacon for the Skydio drone.

Despite the many unmarked trails, you can see far away since there are no tall trees or tall vegetation. Ask for a trail map at the entrance and have a navigation app on your phone with an offline map preloaded.

The trAils look awesome, how in the world do you know where your are though. It looks super easy to get lost to me. I plan to ride the trails for the first time soon.

There are no trees, so you always have 360 view. Just need to reference where you are relative to the marked trails on the map. Most of Carnegie is like this, lots of unmarked trails.

I’m surprised to see so few people riding the trail. In fact I don’t think I saw anyone else. Did you film this at 7am (sunrise) and on a week day? Whenever you filmed this, it looks like the best time to ride. You had the whole park to yourself.

I only ride during week days. It was probably around noon time.
