Gracias, gracias, gracias!!!!

I'm not sure if Mr. Di Casola looks or not as as you mention but I can assure you that he is an extraordinary clarinetist, he has a superb musicality and his notes flow from his instrument in an almost magical way.... his interpretation of this wonderful quintet in B mayor was for me sublime, majestic,my congratulations to the entire ensemble.

My god, that clarinet looks expensive! Gold plating? And what kind of wood? (Looks like a Boehm equivalent of Sabine Meyer's recent instrument.) Sounds damn good!

It's a wonderful piece to hear ; good and really interesting version. Too bad they had to rush the last mvt like the composer's bum was on fire,...takes all the musicianship away.

Started very well; but terrible waste of the third movement -- played far too fast. The interplay between the cello and clarinet (one of the best things in the piece) is completely glossed over, the clarinettist (due to excessive speed) finally settling for an unrhythmic jumble of notes there -- losing the effect altogether. Pity -- as in a piece so dominated by the clarinet, a bit of witty dialogue with the strings helps to balance things: but not here!
