I appreciate you sharing this. I recently bought property with a pond and I am trying to learn what I need to do to maintain/improve it. People like you sharing your knowledge are very helpful. Thank you
I absolutely love to watch you operate that thing. My daughter in law think I'm crazy because I love watching people cutting grass and you and the guy that grind trees. I think those machines are amazing. I love all things done outside, I love a clean house also, but love being outside, fishing, hunting, gardening and such. I would love to operate one of those machines. Blessings
Every time i watch you do a pond, it cements in my head how mine needs to be redone. Its 31 years old, and small pines have grown around the edges. On my wish list is a Kubota or yanmar mini excavator. And the place to learn how to-use it.
Chris i gotta hand it too you man. The fact that you actually take the time to safely plan out your plan of attack and where you wanted too place your dead fall is really neat and tidy and very organized in my opinion that is ten out of ten in my books.
👍 Mother nature is always on the move to recover it's natural state. Anybody that wants a nice lawn, garden, or pond has to be vigilant with maintenance and upkeep. Nice project.
Hello Chris I've comented before I was a laborer for Granite Const here in Sacramento calif , I can relate to every thing you do I wish I was near u so I could help u out!!!!
Its like that machine is like his arm he works it with such precise sir I could watch you work all day . This is truly amazing. Thankyou sir for sharing your work. I could literally watch this all day long
Looks like this will be nice after the work. Love these jobs, the before and after are awesome to see. F’ing genius idea using the thumb as a work platform.
Incredible job!!!!!! I’m glad you are clearing out all of the old dead crap. It looks very good so far! Funny that you chainsawed the pipe down and did not fall in! Great work!!!!!!!!
I'm learning from you... and about to clean out a pretty small farm pond that goes dry every year because the silt has gotten that high. Should be fun. :p
I think clearing is one of the jobs I enjoy watching you do the most. You are very mythological in what you do making it a joy to watch and mimic when I do similar work. This is gonna be a good few videos to come on this job.
I don’t know where you’re from, but you’re the best I’ve ever seen. I watch you for hours on end. New subscriber and appreciate what you do. BLESSINGS...
We had a dam with an island on our family farm. There was a big log for a bridge and the island had some nice warratah trees on it. Trouble was that the poachers cut the saplings off to use for fishing rod holders and just for spite. As a kid I loved that island and it was a great fishing spot, especially when you were allowed to catch freshwater lobsters. I see your point about maintenance though for an island that is in view all the time. Ours was in the middle of 1000 acres and we have wallabies that are pretty good at mowing grass. They also do it for free, just try to stop them! 😀
Chris, I'm still here years later watching, just under a new name. Formerly ; master shake. But when you mentioned crawling out onto the bucket to cut the drain with a chainsaw I was hoping you would get video of it! And as I was thinking that you were telling me you would be sure to! I love it! Thanks for the free content years long! Merry Christmas.
Midnight here in Denmark, and just seen another good video from letsdig 18 as I do every night. I want to know who's making the music for the drone so I can find it on RUclips.
What's with all of the ponds in your area? Are they for fishing or irrigation? I do enjoy watching the skill with which you run your equipment. Amazing
In my 68 years on this earth I have never seen anybody assault a 4 inch PVC pipe from the boom of an excavator twice. But it worked and that is all that counts. Thanks for sharing your video with us Chris. Ed
I never knew that kind of equipment could do what you make it do. I thought youd be using a chain saw, lawn mower, and that sort of thing. This makes me want to see more.
Nice I love watching this type of jobs little of everything. Also I didnt know beavers lived that far south, I thought they were only in the northeast and here in the Midwest. As for the trees you leave by the pond they will be the next target for the beavers so I hope the owners realize that, and just break the pipe off like you putting a new overflow
32:10 - 34:25 has some stuttering / frame rate issues. Y'all need to toss the memory card in the pond, bury it, and get another one. Maybe write on them and figure out which ones doing it. Anyway, my jawing aside, another great vid. That soft quicksand ground is creepy and weird. Thanks, Chris. Keep up the good work.
About how much.does it cost to have a old farm pond cleand up. One about the size yoit workingon today ? Im south east Missouri Im looking to buy a small farm/wooded area.
I worked with tractors in my early 20's and I'd kill to be able to get back on them. I can tell you put in 10's of thousands of hours behind that machine with how easily you work it
Word to the wise: For all those watching Chris do this type of work and think to themselves I can do that....homeowners-that includes you. Let it be known that I've only seen a few people who can operate the way he does. It's the result of many years of experience, operating, listening, and learning. Oh, and having the right equipment is a must. Equipment that is well taken care of and in good working order. Like he does. So save yourself a pile of $$$$ and a big headache, just hire him and get on his waiting list. You'll be glad you did.
Highly skilled abilities. Would wish for just a couple of classes of environmental befits of decaying wood and root systems. I love watching the work of destruction and creation you are mastering!! ~Cheers
Interesting trees. They looked like they were planted about 50 years ago. Seem to all be about the same size and growing at regular spacing in straight lines.
I appreciate you sharing this. I recently bought property with a pond and I am trying to learn what I need to do to maintain/improve it. People like you sharing your knowledge are very helpful. Thank you
I love watching you work. Surprisingly relaxing and such a great distraction. Thanks for sharing!
Dude, the way you operate that thing is like poetry.
You have the touch! Nice job!
Fake deep cringy and a waste of time?
I absolutely love to watch you operate that thing. My daughter in law think I'm crazy because I love watching people cutting grass and you and the guy that grind trees. Your skill-set makes everything look so easy with regard to moving the Earth and trees. The best I could ever do is Tonka. 🤯
We’re Lucky to see a Project before you Start, your Solid Progress and the Spectacular Finish.👍
yep--love when he STARTS with a drone shot
Every time i watch you do a pond, it cements in my head how mine needs to be redone. Its 31 years old, and small pines have grown around the edges. On my wish list is a Kubota or yanmar mini excavator. And the place to learn how to-use it.
I think this little pond is pretty it will be super better when u are finished with it . Like watching the dig. 👍
Chris i gotta hand it too you man. The fact that you actually take the time to safely plan out your plan of attack and where you wanted too place your dead fall is really neat and tidy and very organized in my opinion that is ten out of ten in my books.

looking way better thumbs up shared good job
I just love the way that machine is like a natural extension of your arm, there is skill then there is what you do. 👍
I have never seen this kind of work being done before but I can recognize a pro that enjoys what he does for a living. Great job.
Love what you do .... you make it look so easy ... comes second nature.
Finished pond is gonna look great, I can tell it was good once before... glad to see it coming back!!
So nimble. You are a fantastic operator . Fun to watch . Great job and fast too
Incredible job!!!!!! I’m glad you are clearing out all of the old dead crap. It looks very good so far! Funny that you chainsawed the pipe down and did not fall in! Great work!!!!!!!!
Its Heart Shaped.. anyone else notice.. interesting should be a nice spot. Almost every one of those trees were scarred up from the beavers.
No way! It's shaped like Tasmania! 😁😁😁
@@xj9ox mmmmm tassy
He ! Beavers got be employed to......LOL😆
I didn't notice until I watched the second time. I can see it now. It will be real clear once I takes out the little island.
My man you use that equipment like playing a violin. Awesome work. Enjoyed watching this.
Ever meet a guy in the guitar store that can make any guitar sound good enough to buy. This is that level of skill. I'm really impressed.
every movement isnt wasted. what a pro. i could only dream of such a fun career.
I watch a lot of these videos. You are by far the most skilled I’ve seen 👍
The skill with which this man operates an excavator is astounding. It's a part of him! Love the videos.
it’s not that hard, time in the seat and you can’t be stupid.
I'm learning from you... and about to clean out a pretty small farm pond that goes dry every year because the silt has gotten that high.
Should be fun. :p
Could have used another guy with chainsaw and tractor to cut up big trees and drag the logs off.
I appreciate the closed captioning, thanks!
Nice job Chris.the pond looks good now. Nice piece of work Right there.keep Up the good work Chris 👍
I think clearing is one of the jobs I enjoy watching you do the most. You are very mythological in what you do making it a joy to watch and mimic when I do similar work. This is gonna be a good few videos to come on this job.
Hey Chris, you take out more trees than some of the logging channels!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🇬🇧
And swamp loggers😉
He is almost as good as tree spacers. :)
Too friggin funny
cotontop would be proud 👍🏻
all you see on logging channels is all the equipment broken instead of running lol
Nice little project. It’s going to look completely different once you are done
I love to watch your vids .I am retired operator in the UK I get my fix watching and don't miss it so much, ha ha.
Enjoyed watching thank you for sharing Chris have a great week
I always enjoy these videos, shows how strong the Volvo is and I like watching you work the machine like it’s nothing! Great job Chris!
I don’t know where you’re from, but you’re the best I’ve ever seen. I watch you for hours on end. New subscriber and appreciate what you do. BLESSINGS...

Love your videos keep it up. Your lucky you get to be around equipment all day.
you are an artist with that machine Chris
Merry Christmas and a happier safer New year seasonal greetings from Wales UK 🇬🇧 🏴🏴
Very interesting project, gonna be really nice when you're done!
Thanks for the aerial view 👍
You make it look so simple. I need one of these machines at my place in Maine!
Even the beavers are wearing let’s dig 18 hoodies, love the videos
Chris, Do you ever build larger ponds? Something in the size of 25 to 100 acres? That would be a great series of videos!
You know it's going to be a good day when you hear trees a cracken. Both families well truly enjoy the updated pond, with beaver proof drain.
Ur definitely a great operator but at ur pace, u will be there for months. Wonderful educational video. Thank u sir
He's getting the job done the way he is told to get it together I think he is on top of it for sure
Your like a surgeon with that thing. Awesome
I would leave the island for future family recreation, could build a bridge and a small cabin on it
Looks like it's going to be nice looking pond.
The ponds in the shape of a love heart!!
Him pulling out that tree at 8:10.....dang, that would be hours of manual work.
a master at work always enjoy your work
Nice job...like the pond...big time....wish I had that claw thing...excavator I guess...wherever you are looks nice....
I love these kind of jobs! Greetings from Finland 🤟
I like this kind of project, because I know how it will look after you get finished Chris! You always do a great job brother!
Very relaxing to watch, as odd as that sounds.

Good work Chris, surprised it wasn't softer along that back.
Island will be interesting.

NICE JOB CHRIS, WELL DONE LIKE ALWAYS.
Greetings from the UK
Never used equipment like you do but it's so amazing you use these devices like an extension of your hands
They had you hired when they said you could build a 🔥!
Excellent upload. Full watched and have a wonderful day...
In my 68 years on this earth I have never seen anybody assault a 4 inch PVC pipe from the boom of an excavator twice. But it worked and that is all that counts. Thanks for sharing your video with us Chris. Ed
Hey thanks for sharing your work. This is pretty cool.
Underwater chainsaw. "That's the last thing they'll expect!" 😲

Beavers are pretty much across most of the US, Canada and down into South America some as well.
Looks like the beavers got the bark on those big trees you wanted to keep. I doubt they will survive.
Probably won't survive but they can cut them for the sawmill would be my guess.
32:10 - 34:25 has some stuttering / frame rate issues. Y'all need to toss the memory card in the pond, bury it, and get another one. Maybe write on them and figure out which ones doing it.

nice job ! lil hard trying keep up with which vids are which? so many ponds , maybe name and number them for future vids , may make it easier.
You work that big claw thingy so gracefully! (Geez...cant tell I'm from the city, hey? 😄) Id have waay too much fun with one of those.
Job is already looking really good
Chris AKA: "The Pond King" Cuts an overflow off underwater with a chainsaw TWICE and didn't even get his feet wet! (Clearly I enjoyed this video)

I worked with tractors in my early 20's and I'd kill to be able to get back on them. I can tell you put in 10's of thousands of hours behind that machine with how easily you work it

You are a master with your machine. You're not even looking sometimes! Sub'd.
Interesting trees. They looked like they were planted about 50 years ago. Seem to all be about the same size and growing at regular spacing in straight lines.
That row of thin trees actually looks straight. You can hear the dryness of trunks when snapped.
Looking forward to seeing the completed project
This is going to be a good video. Owner will have some good views. Can’t wait for the final flyover.
I saw the beavers packing up and leaving!
Man you should do a full how to build a pond series from beginning to end. Love the vids.
Je suis impressionnée par les projet que tu réalises surtout la finition 👍😀bon courage
That chainsaw bit only happens when you are you own boss.
Man that looks like N FL , seen many of ponds that have the same vegetation !
That's not bad at all. Compared to the disaster in my backyard, this is pristine.
Hostas and ferns would look lovely along the shaded top side.
That is a beautiful lot!
Masterful behind them controls.
Owner: I need you to remove an island.
Chris: No Problem
How big is your pond? I'm building one now but I can't stop adding size to it haha.. but beautiful work my friend from upper Canada 👍
