I love a story with a happy ending. :-D Years ago I got my Chevy Blazer stuck so bad that a wrecker started to burn up it's winch trying to pull me out. It took a second truck with a winch and snatch block pulling along with the wrecker to get me out of that thick, sticky mud. Fun memories...but it really sucked at the time.
Well they always say the coverup is worse than the crime. In this case it’s the recovery worse than the everything. Good reason to always ride with others who can help you out. When you are so hella stuck that the sherp struggles to get you out. That’s hard core.
Tread patterns on your ride is meant for forward traction. No wonder it slips when winching from the front. Love your videos. Break suction. Pull from rear. Less breakage.
When I bury the sxs in skeg like that, I hook to the cage and winch sideways. Lift one side out of suction and stick trees under tires. Then proceed to the other side and do the same. It's gotten me out of same situation a few times.
We have some deadly muskeg here in Ontario, breaks everything on our rigs when we get hung up. its literally like driving through dough, esp during the spring thaw. We use heavy duty flat hook tie strap (15,000lb rating)and have rigging points on our rigs for that shite. Its never let me down so far.
Worst Stuck? I got my fedex truck stuck 15 miles into a 30 mile " shortcut ". The tow truck said he couldn't make it. I didn't slide down a hill sideways by about 1 inch on the drivers side. Honestly ... I should have left the truck till spring.
@EVERYTHING OUTDOORZ got cha! I figured a good heavy chain wouldnt break tho! I work on a farm and we use chains to pull out big tractors and have to snatch on em with 300hp tractors! So I figured an ATV and sherp dont have that kinda of force lol
yeah that thing is fucked lmao. between them bending the frame so much that the doors don't close anymore and them breaking the front bumper, it's not gonna be a cheap repair
Give me steel cable on a wench over that synthetic crap any day.. need to carry one of those 8-10k pound tow straps about 20’ long with a couple big shackles. Great vid as usual.
This is going to make me more cautious running skeg up here. Were usually alone in a sxs in the middel of no where. I guess the weight of a utv makes them terrible for skeg.
I have seen people get stuck like that just a little info. As many guys you had there push it over on its side. Fill the holes back in then do it on the other side. Turn it over to the other side fill the holes up . It works believe me. You mite have to clear out some of the mud on the sides of the wheel an tire. I would love to come up an ride with you guys, I am in a wheelchair I have a Can-Am Commander XT-P 1000 Thinking on trading winter time for a Maverick X3 turbo. 4-seater. I live in Missouri long drive to ride. But to me it would be worth it. Awesome Video.
Try pulling where the rope will be tied as low as possible to the stucked vehicle. This will lift the front of the vehicle. Works great in this kind of situation.
They're in Canada. You can't tell me they couldn't find some 4"-6" pines and made an A frame to lift the front of the Razr out of the hole he dug himself into.
Everyone always has their opinion on how to get out. I think with that beast of a Sherp, a nice high attach point hooked as short as possible would lift the machine right out instead of dragging it straight into a wall and bending the frame and stressing bumpers, etc. My two cents.
@@johnnnny -Actually, I meant for all the deep stuff they're always in that it was worth fabricating some kind of rescue setup instead of abusing their machines the way they were. I'm sure they could build something that could be attached to the drawbar/hitch. A few hundred bucks and a little time sure beats stressing frames and snapping front axles.
Easy option, wrap tow strap over top of wheel and around, gives huge lift and immediate forward travel of bike, old tractor trick, works well If you get sherp stuck, old tractor trick, strap or chain posts to tires as extra traction, this gains extra traction, and lifts the whole machine as it rides over the post. We never resorted to winches or tow trucks, and we sank tractors fairly regularly in anything from stuff softer than this to full swamp . Farms around actually lost tractors that literally sank before they could be recovered.
Awesome Video, I dunno how much torque those top bars on the Sherp can take but I would try winching it to the very top roof bar of the sherp on the back end. Maybe would help to lift it out instead of digging in. Anyways great job guys that was a good stuck
I’ll give you a hint. When going to pull someone out like this, make the rope as short as possible. Get as close to the stuck vehicle as you can. Then when you go to pull it will actually pickup the stuck vehicle out of the hole. Instead of trying to bulldoze thru the earth. Try it out some time with a fallen tree on solid ground. You will be surprised by using this voodoo magic how much you can move.
This is why side by side guys should just stick to the hard pack and for people that think somehow synthetic rope is stronger that cable look how many time it broke. Bringing rope and a SxS is like begging to spend your weekend stuck and broke down.
Just needs a couple 30LBS rated straps and the sherp bumper would come off before the straps ever even thought of breaking. or better yet invest in a bubba rope. But the straps are cheaper
For sale on Craigslist after that, gently used, never seen mud or been out of the yard.
Did we all learn our lesson about needing proper recovery gear?
Strap is useless if it’s undersized and wore tf out.
That's how we sort through what gear needs replacing 🤣🤣
straps are only good for one or two snatch pulls before it test weight goes down
Funny as hell when they kept tying the same rope on and expecting not to break. LOL
After the first two times, I assumed they would use a cable. 🤷🏼♂️
Beating a dead horse

i lernd the hard way
When you lift it at the front or rear then it comes out more easy. Maybe you can build something for the sherp like they have on a tow truck.
I TOLD HIM. JUST INSTALL A WINCH ON THE TOP OF THE SHERP FRAME!
Me when axle breaks: gets out checks all around and looks at it a million times.
Them when axle breaks:who cares I won’t even look at it
Like how the guy who gets stuck just stands there and watch the other ones dig him out
Well by that time he's probably straight exhausted from wading in the mud hooking up the winch. That's what friends are for.
Perks of living in Canada!!
We're all so happy to help out!!
William Johansson Canadians just sit back and watch everyone else do the right thing ...
@@Pepper628 All the people helping were Canadian.
need a roof mounted winch on the sherp!
or at least a roof mounted bar to pull with.
Pulling upwards would really help these stucks.
or flip the sherp
I was thinking that pull over instead of thru the muskeg
i figured that was a polaris but when the axle snaped i knew it was
Cuz there axels are poopoo stocks of course
well the front end of that rzr is officially dickered
Seeing all the machines winched up was awesome! Great video! 🤟
6:40 look at the door of the rzr
Hahah all the swear editing must have taken a while to edit out 😆🤟
That bumper is hating its life right now.
Definitely! 🤣🤣🤣
That is some seriously beefy bumper
Tread patterns on your ride is meant for forward traction. No wonder it slips when winching from the front. Love your videos. Break suction. Pull from rear. Less breakage.
and it was reclaimed by the earth
1 - winch is mounted very high up
2 - further you pull more into the ground you will pull

If you ain't good at tying knots, you better tie lots!
Words to live by
Or use a thicker cable ? 😂. And i dont get why they didnt pull it backwards in the first place
Worst Stuck? I got my fedex truck stuck 15 miles into a 30 mile " shortcut ". The tow truck said he couldn't make it. I didn't slide down a hill sideways by about 1 inch on the drivers side. Honestly ... I should have left the truck till spring.
Ronald Beck worst stuck on the channel man 🤦🏽♂️
That poor rzrs frame
They might as well tie to the top of the frigin' cage.. That's why I don't ride in large groups, stupidity reproduces rapidly!
My My My!! Lol that was definitely pretty serious! Lol you should definitely keep a chain in the sherp tho!
@EVERYTHING OUTDOORZ got cha! I figured a good heavy chain wouldnt break tho! I work on a farm and we use chains to pull out big tractors and have to snatch on em with 300hp tractors! So I figured an ATV and sherp dont have that kinda of force lol
Funny how when this kind of stuff would happen during oil patch spring thaw, it didn't seem funny, but now, I'm cringing
Gary Paisley I’m cringing at your pofile pic
Yeah and those rig's are 80k or so..
The whole frame was moving look at the gap between the door 6:20 it’s stretching the whole rzr
yeah that thing is fucked lmao. between them bending the frame so much that the doors don't close anymore and them breaking the front bumper, it's not gonna be a cheap repair
holy shit good catch, that things in bad shape now lol
The doors close fine now once it was out of the hole.
They should have tie to the top of the cage for even more leverage..
13:39, Skeg cannonball! Awesome Osta, looked like a great time.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never in my life would I thought I would see the SHERP have to work at something. That was a stuck for the ages!
No. It's called inexperienced. Lol
LOL canonball was EPIC
🤣🤣
True
Sitting here watching the frame stretch 🤯 then the door swings open 😂
Haha I know dude
Give me steel cable on a wench over that synthetic crap any day.. need to carry one of those 8-10k pound tow straps about 20’ long with a couple big shackles. Great vid as usual.
Was some good advertisement for that bumper. All that force pulling on it and held strong
Can’t wait for Blackie’s updated rig should be a hell of a show 🤘
Sherp needs a removable winch crane for the roof lol. Could hook up the sea doo as a bonus haha
I got my truck stuck for 2 months in the winter. Had to hike out 13 miles before I was picked up. I can laugh about it now.
Crazy!!
This is going to make me more cautious running skeg up here. Were usually alone in a sxs in the middel of no where. I guess the weight of a utv makes them terrible for skeg.
That is what we have found
Being that was a Polaris rzr, I was waiting for the A arms and axles to rip off with all that pulling force. I'm actually quite impressed they did it
was i ever nervous someone was going to get a cable in the eye!!
I'd take a guess and say that very few if any of them are actually running cable.
I have seen people get stuck like that just a little info. As many guys you had there push it over on its side. Fill the holes back in then do it on the other side. Great advice. Thanks dude
that bumper wasn't going anywhere cause the frame was flexing hard at 6:00!! looked like at least 2 inches of flex
watch the door at 6 minutes in
I would have hooked it to lowest part of the 4 runner deflated tires winch it tight then inflate tires so it lifts 4 runner then pull
Man that is a pretty sweet idea. Never thought of that actually. Lift it and throw a couple logs under the tires
I was stuck way worse then that this year 4 winches on a Polaris 570, up to the fender in sand/mud
Great ride guys! Love all the videos man. Can't wait for the next
If you can’t tie a knot tie a lot 😆🤘 all you need is to learn is a Bowline Knot 🍻 it’s the official “lobster mens knot”
No the "official lobstermans knot" is a half hitch
Toxic Graphics apparently you’ve only docked sailboats bub... try that setting trolls 😂👍
@@barharborbasher249 gotta love them trolls eh. Dumbass
Holy crap that thing was sunk!! Keep up the great work!!
Dumb question- wouldn't have a shovel to move some of the heavy stuff from in front of the wheels help prevent cable/robes breaking?
Yes great idea....if we had a shovel. We had to improvise
Try pulling where the rope will be tied as low as possible to the stucked vehicle. This will lift the front of the vehicle. Works great in this kind of situation.
Dude, do you even have an aftermarket exhaust on the sherp? It sounds like a beast!
I’m surprised that you guys don’t have max tracks , light weight and would work great for a side by side in that skeg
You know your stuck when the sherp is struggling to pull
Looks like you need some kind of A-frame crane type thing on the back of the sherp to lift anything stuck
They're in Canada. You can't tell me they couldn't find some 4"-6" pines and made an A frame to lift the front of the Razr out of the hole he dug himself into.
Osta you ever try using exhaust Jack's? I've heard some pretty crazy stories
I actually have one. I have never tried it though. Should bring it with us next time
It was like poof 😂 that’s why they sell tow straps. But at the end the day you allways brake something and it’s allways a good Time
Definitely!

Extremeatv offroad his machine is gonna be a beast with those 36’s! Awsome video and that rvr was buried broke everything lol
Need to rig up a winch system off the top of the sherp. Help get some upward force on them bad ones.
Easy option, wrap tow strap over top of wheel and around, gives huge lift and immediate forward travel of bike, old tractor trick, works well

Well well well, that’s was stuck! Great vid Osta 🤘
Thanks dude
That's nuts. Luckily no one got hurt.
U guys should have hooked to the back of it and rolled it forward w the sherp.
2nd hows ther sherp tire wear going?
3rd how muxh is a sherp tie cost?
Awesome Video, I dunno how much torque those top bars on the Sherp can take but I would try winching it to the very top roof bar of the sherp on the back end. Maybe would help to lift it out instead of digging in. Anyways great job guys that was a good stuck
you need the ol'' snatch block!!
i just seen you used it lol, shoulda watched further b4 i commented haha

MaxxTrax not just for full-size rigs
Haha I actually lol'd when you did a cannon ball.
Damn Canadian laugh is killing this video! Holy crap

Would love the specs on the side by side!!!!! The really stuck one
so what is the little monster truck thing?
Anytime your on the east coast we would love to show you a few Knotts.
Nice..I got too see a sherp in person today..wow its a beast..
Looks like a typical Osta Battle 😁🤘
" Okay ! , who's next ?! " lol
"works 100% of the time" *floomp*
Using a shoe lace for a tow strap?
It was a BOOT lace not a shoe lace. military grade.
@0:55 "broke axle" .... "broke cable" lmao
10min in i swear the sxs is going forward while the sherp pull backward lol
Popos Never Say Die! Great job, when the shit gets deep sometimes ya gotta go ride in it.
grandprismatic For him it was get stuck in it lol
This is when you need traction pads on amazon from &30 to $100 if you want the good ones
Dang! That RZR is gonna need some TLC before next ride lol
Mathew Mardell nothing noticeable from the frame flexing enough to keep popping your doors open? That was a good stuck man lol.
9:30 “report it stolen” lmao me to buddy
Buddy stood there while everyone else dug him out
Where you get dat mud (I’m from Mississippi)
when ya pulled on the hoop on the bumper it bent the frame down hense thats why the doors wont close now
Anyone know where Rocky top ATV park is ?
Good Lord Almighty that razor was stuck!!👍👍
Haha so bad
Great video. That would royally suck.
My stock warn winch on a Outlander xmr shit out on the second ride. Any recommendations osta?
Warranty
The sherp could definitely store some chains yall should get some! These silly wench cables can’t handle that force!
Chains destroy frames lol
What happens if you get the Sherpa stuck
Easily winch it out. It never gets suctioned in like a truck or sxs
Throw a shirt on the pull strap, it keeps the strap low if it breaks
How do you guys not have kinetic ropes?
We do but have ripped oit and almost killed multiple people and equipment over the years 😂😂😂. Not a great option for muskeg
ostacruiser
You need to get some real wide Tractor type straps. Like 8 inch
Just needs a couple 30LBS rated straps and the sherp bumper would come off before the straps ever even thought of breaking. or better yet invest in a bubba rope. But the straps are cheaper
Wow, too much fun.
I'll just keep my good ole steel cable.
Great advertisement for whoever made that bumper
ostacruiser what part of Canada are you from? Im from alberta, btw love your content dude!! :D
No shovel(s)?
Chain is incredibly strong 💪
what would you do (WITHOUT) the sherp lol you’d be in a pickle 😂😂
Haha! Man that was funny. Great times.
