    I love a story with a happy ending. :-D
Years ago I got my Chevy Blazer stuck so bad that a wrecker started to burn up it's winch trying to pull me out. It took a second truck with a winch and snatch block pulling along with the wrecker to get me out of that thick, sticky mud. Fun memories...but it really sucked at the time.

Turn it over to the other side fill the holes up . It works believe me. You mite have to clear out some of the mud on the sides of the wheel an tire. I’ll give you a hint. When going to pull someone out like this, make the rope as short as possible. Get as close to the stuck vehicle as you can. Then when you go to pull it will actually pickup the stuck vehicle out of the hole. Instead of trying to bulldoze thru the earth.
Try it out some time with a fallen tree on solid ground. You will be surprised by using this voodoo magic how much you can move.

Easy option, wrap tow strap over top of wheel and around, gives huge lift and immediate forward travel of bike, old tractor trick, works well
If you get sherp stuck, old tractor trick, strap or chain posts to tires as extra traction, this gains extra traction, and lifts the whole machine as it rides over the post. We never resorted to winches or tow trucks, and we sank tractors fairly regularly in anything from stuff softer than this to full swamp . Farms around actually lost tractors that literally sank before they could be recovered.

You know that a good winch rope is a strong or stronger than a steel cable of the same diameter rope is also way safer in case of it breaking rope will fall and steel will whip fast enough to cut someones foot open
