I've had the honor of creating the music and sound effects for the high-speed platformer Rollin' Rascal, and as its Kickstarter campaign has begun, I'd like to share some of the music I've made! This is the tune that plays during a multiplayer race level. Maintaining high speeds will earn you an extra musical layer to cheer you on!
Instruments used
• Sub bass - Logic Alchemy
• Synth chords & brass - Logic Alchemy, Logic Sampler
• Clavinet - Spectrasonics Keyscape
• Organ - Logic Vintage B3
• Electronic drums - Roland TR-909
• Additional percussion - Logic loops - Видеоклипы
Nothing says quality like random indie game soundtracks from composer I love
when a channel that analyzes musics and sounds from various places cooks up some music on their own, you know it's gonna be something else
wonderful bop! can't wait to hear it in game!
YOU’RE making the music for the game?! Crazy seeing two creators I’ve been following work together, it’s like seeing your teacher at the store in elementary lol
I love the adaptive drums! Really sells the feeling of falling into that chaotic flow state when you start reaching top speeds and any small mistake can stop you in your tracks.
That's a nice looking way to visualize a song
Dude! I had no idea that you were working on the music for this game! Makes me ever more excited for the future of Rollin' Rascal. Amazing!!!
WAIT YOU'RE THE ONE COMPOSING FOR THIS? THIS IS ACTUALLY GOING TO BE PEAK WHAT
The soundtrack to nine hours in chaotic climb. Thank you for making a piece I can still jam out too after such a long grind. ❣❣
It's cool to hear you behind this game's soundtrack! I'll keep a close eye on it and hopefully give it a try on release.
Thank you for always posting what sounds you use. Is actually the most helpful thing for a musician developing my digital workspace.
oh wouw dude!!! i had goose bumbs in the first 20 seconds. this is so facking amaizng!!!!!!
I was already considering buying this game. Upon hearing the news that you're the one who's going to compose the music for this game, this is already in my wishlist. I hope it comes to a Nintendo platform, because I'm literally buying it day one if it does!
The music adapts to when you're going faster?!!
this song is amazingly funky, but this is gonna make my obscure ds game research tangents even harder :(
this is so funky!! i love the bass line/low line in this, it’s so prominent and it just makes you want to groove! awesome job :)
Getting some Super Monkey Ball vibes from this. Really been missing this kind of sound in gaming
Ohhhh Lovely
Love the music!!👍🏻
Reminds me of Mario kart from the Wii.
Amazing bassline
banger alert folks
Woah congratularations :D
I'm definitely getting splatoon vibes
Great track! but I believe the kickstarter link only leads to the kickstarter home page.
Ah thank you for catching that! The link should be fixed now. 😄
Heck yeah, excited for the game and the music :D
Hey, I've heard good stuff about this one. Nice to see the music will be top notch
Yo this rules super hard
(0:58-1:25) has me hearing this song on loop, most importantly in 1:11
Pretty funky
Ngl I didn’t even know you made music I just know you from that pikmin 3 vid and nothing else
Oooh more peak, this is great.
And what does the description say? Adaptive music? Extra instruments celebrating you going fast in-game? Great decision Scruffy, based as always.
Kind of reminds me of Snowboard Kids series from Nintendo 64.
The best part is at 0.75 speed it turns into the macerena
This game is going to be a treat musically at least. The gameplay looks pretty solid, but after being burned so many times, I don't do Kickstarter anymore. Good luck to the devs and hope many people enjoy your soundtrack Scruffy. :)
The demo is free, if you want to try it.
Good song, but multiplayer needs more variety, listening to this the whole time makes me want to play it for hours less
sounds like it would be from Mario
