I am doing something similar to what you did except for the headset night vision goggles and helmet camouflage. I am adding a condor camera and helmet light with ye old American flag patch.
technically speaking airframes are no longer kosher for cag helmet builds because it failed the armies crush test. Because of this the army was like "no one can use them". That is why most 2014 and later cag pics operators are pictured with ops core xp helmets. Besides that I think its a great helmet build with multi use such a storing cr123s in the battery pack and the replica comtacs for comms use.

I’m thinking of adding FLIR breach to my existing nvd. I’m having difficulties finding a bridge mount that isn’t ITAR and can combine flir / pvs mounts with dovetail. Any pointers?

Most optics like the ones we use from Aimpoint have an ARD or Honeycomb that you can mount in front of it. Works perfect for bouncing those bbs off. 👌 You can also use plastic protectors but some will give you a lot of reflection. We personally don't protect our flashlights, they have catched some bbs in the past but nothing really happend to it. We use the Klarus XT11S.

Aliexpress. Ive brought most of my gear off that and its damn cheap as well. I even got a Eotech sight off it for $57 NZD while local shops sells them for over $200. Definitely worth a try but make sure to look at reviews with photos as well since youre buying stuff from China. Its what i do to prevent regret
I love airsoft but I mean is it that necessary to have so much gear on your helmet. I mean it's just a game. I just wear a simple boonie hat which I have stitched fake leaves onto

It's not necessary at all. Unless you're playing Milsim during the night. Then NODS might be functional and a viable option to buy, but are very expensive. But like many things, fashion is always endgame. Helmets, even the 6mm Proshop affordable ones, are a good idea to wear in CQB environments where you're much more likely to bash your head into shit on accident, but I prefer just a cap as well. That's the excuses I can come up with that should be considered if safety and functionality is your goal. As for aesthetics? Always up to the eyes of the beholder.
Oh so thats how the airframe cover should be. I just realized i got M size cover on my L size helmet lmao. Dont regret it tho cus i got that real cover for like 30 bucks cus the previous owner sold his airframe and forgot to sell the cover with it xd
When I was 12 this would've looked sick to me. Now, as a soldier, I realize how ridiculous and unnecessary this is to play a game. The Army ruined airsoft for me. SF might wear something like this. Infantry? Hell no. Too tacticool.
Ik some ppl who actually spend 15k for nods for airsoft and for you ppl you need to learn how to invest your money in something that will actually benefit you
I would dismiss all of the non practical "look cool" things for acutually real practical things that also can look cool and cost you less, like a side mounted torch, a flag patch and ear covers, which you do have, altho I'd dismiss the fake microfone also.

Airframes are still used by CAG, though not as common. Theyre also still in use by SF as well
I believe airframes are still in use by Rangers. From what I've heard from rangers at least.
Sean O'Donnell Rangers don't use Airframes. They use Ops Core Maritime Super high cuts. Green Berets still use airframes.

an old trick it rub washing up liquid onto them and let it dry then gently wipe it off, it leaves a film on the lens that stops it fogging
