This rainstorm lasted only 30 minutes. The rest of the day was beautiful. By the way, this is how the street bars in soi 11 looked during Songkran. ruclips.net/user/liveWQaCtPwX5Qs?feature=share
Watching this on a foggy morning in Toronto. We had rain yesterday but nothing compared like this! That was torrential! Thanks for taking us out, Jeroen, and be safe!
Fascinating! Thanks for walking for us...For getting soaking wet for us...I lived in Bangkok for five years and this brings back memories...I lived outside the city...Nichada Thani...International School o f Bangkok....I would have loved to have stayed to live out my life...Bad decision on my part to go back to the States...sigh. Thanks again!
This kind of weather your out and about as usual. If it was bad the markets would close for days and people move to evacuation centres. This is why Bangkok is great, the rainy season is so moderate.
For today in Bangkok it's a summer storm. But it's almost the rainy season in Thailand in a week or two. In some parts of Sukhumvit Road, the drainage system is still being improved and important parts have begun to be completed. I hope this year Bangkok will experience less flooding than in years past. thanks for this video. 😊
@@alpbb1011 It's okay, in the middle of May, it is expected that Thailand will enter the rainy season at that time. it's the rainy season and we also encounter weather changes, so I can't give you exact advice.
@@milanjain9340 For Bangkok during September, there is usually heavy rain. This year, Thailand still has an El Niño weather problem, so I can't say if there will be rain like every year.
I love thailand , but i think the capitol doesnt have good waterways for all the heavey rain to flow away , but id still love to live there , just need the money lol
@@globaltravelmate Actually in Bangkok September is the rainiest month (320mm) and October is the 2nd rainiest month (230mm). By November it drops off by a lot but the rainy season continues in the south.
These heavy rain vids are fantastic at putting me to sleep. I watch them late at night when I'm home and I'm out within 20 minutes. I can't watch them at work at night for that reason.
Good to see you doing the rain videos again. I actually came to your office when in Bangkok in January to see the man himself, but, I was told that you're not there everyday. Damn!
It's that time of the year again. We are also gradually getting into the rainy season here in Nigeria as well. I love it whenever it rains as my electricity bill reduces since I don't have to use the airconditioners to bring down the excruciating heat.

Thanks very much for the rain video. We are going this mid-June. How likely is it going to rain then and would it be concentrated in the morning, afternoon or evening? Thanks in advance.
You should be ok depending on where you are , Hua Hin is glorious sun every day at the moment, even if you get some rain it might only last a hour later afternoon normally lol
You should create 8 hours of sleep sound or white noise video out of this because it made me so sleepy listening to the rain sound. There are plenty of sleep sound youtube video out there but the sound of your video is really awesome.
I was on my morning run and the humidity is much much worse just before the rain comes. After it rains you feel the humidity drop. Well that's how it felt to me anyway. I hid from the rain under a big canopy in benjakitti park and some kind Indian men gave me some hot tea to drink.
I've been to BKK a million times but never in a rainstorm like this...nor would i want to walk around with hidden potholes - potential ankle breakers. I was only there 3 weeks ago and remember there was so many bars on soi 11 now it's all flattened! oh well, progress...

Thai people believe that Songkran makes the rainy season come faster. Thank this guy 😍😍🍻🍻✔✔
I never heard anybody says that
Never heard of this. On the contrary, Songkran is a welcome event/celebration
Kind of satisfying to watch, the thought of having the smoke from burn season clearing up might add to this.
