I'm wearing this style now...and I didn't have the same hair. So the twists don't look like yours and I'm not complaining. Proud of my work and thank you for sharing the video! Bless you! :)
You are so awesome, humble and speak with such clarity. Love your demonstrations and that fact that you are a true woman of God is even more inviting! Keep being a blessing because you are blessed!
U bad, the Africans will never get another dime of my money... Thank you so much 4 sharing your techniques, Now I have plenty of protective styles for my natural hair...
Thank you so much for sharing! Roughly how many twists per cornrow did you have? Or did you do just cover each braid? Or leave a certain space between crochet-attached twists? I hope I am making sense.
I loved this style so much I have decided to try and install it as my protective style. Since I took my locs down, I have been messing in my hair so much and I really dont want to manipulate my hair so much. Gonna tag you on Instagram when Im done. Wish me luck!
When you are wearing braids or twists, do you oil your scalp? I did mines and they look great, but my scalp gets a little itchy and I don't want to scratch or pat ny head because I really don't want to mess up my braids. Will oiling my scalp reduce the itchyness? If so, what grease do you recommend?
I just installed over the weekend and I have only been to work for 3 hours this morning and everyone is stopping me and loving this style. We did not have the free tress brand in my nearby hair stores however I was able to use EON hair brand in Nubinubi which has a similar texture to the kinky bulk hair. I was able to find the Kinky bulk hair on samsbeauty.com after I made the purchase for the Eon brand. This was my first time crocheting hair so it took me about 6 hours to do. One tip that I can share for anyone having trouble with the twists and try to twist the opposite way. I noticed that the way I naturally twist my hair was unraveling however when I tried it in the opposite direction it worked and coiled up nicely on its own. Teeday6 I really appreciate your time and thoughtfulness to share! God Bless!
I recently had a bad experience with afrelle kanekalon braiding hair, very bad irritation to the crown of my head. (Mind you I have been braiding for years now). I wanted to know if I need to treat this hair with acv and water before proceeding with installation? I would love to do this style on my head. It looks like you did loose braids around the scalp to camouflage.
I love how your hair came out the color is beautiful I will try to do this style and see if I can achieve this look. Thank you very sharing I always watch your crochet hairstyles. You are one of the best on RUclips so far to me. Can you use straight hair using the crochet method?
Great hairstyle and great tutorial! I will attempt to do this style tomorrow. I am still confused as to how you installed the twists in the back with the braiding pattern that you used on your natural hair. You mentioned in this video,if installed correctly then the parts shouldn't show. Could you share tips and/or tricks on how to install them correctly in the back using the braiding pattern that you used? Or possibly create a video showing how you installed them in the back. Thanks
im so using this method next for my braids...my only question is what do u do with the ends of your hair after braiding it down to get ready to install?
I love love love this hairstyle!!! I watched your tutorial if it often. My question is for the perimeter twists, is there a specific pattern to follow or technique? I did my hair and there is a space between the perimeter and cornrows. I'm not sure if I made them too big or something. Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration and blessing :)
I bought the hair and I am going to attempt on my daughter's hair Wednesday. She is 7 do u think 24 inch hair will be too much? Also your hair and makeup is always on point!! Great videos.
Hey I absolutely love your channel and I have tried some of your styles. However, I want to try this style on my daughter whom is 6 years old. What I want to know is what inch would you recommend? Also, did you start your single twist with a braid?
I'm in the process of finding protective styles for my 13 year old twins. We're going to Montego Bay Jamaica, and I know the girls are going to live at the pool. My question is how will this style hold up? As far as swimming is concerned
Hi love your video. My questions is the hair of the perimeter in braiding those. I'm not sure how u did those. I see the end result. Is there a tutorial?
a video on how to cut the hair into a shape when finished would be nice for those of us who are not hairdressers. Thank you, Im trying this style today!!
This style is great!! I'm glad I ran into it. Was super easy to do. Thanks for sharing!!!. My only problem is that my beauty world in Greenville nc did not have kinky hair but tons of marley hiphop and so I ended up buying Nubian twists braiding hair. I even tried to explain to the employees about the hair and they were clueless. :/ but I prayed that Nubian would work and Jesus heard my cry lol only thing is I have to curl the ends. Any ideas or suggestions about a alternative twisting hair I could use besides Nubian because its a little pricey I bought 2 packs for 20 bucks each is 10
Aww! That literally put a big smile on my face lol. So glad to hear that the hair worked for you. Someone shared a pic with me on instagram, & she had to use the Nubian twist hair & it came out great also. As of now, I really haven't seen too many hair types that will mimic kinky hair other than Nubian twist hair. Some marley brands give the same neat fluffy look, but it's too risky & expensive trying for find some. Yea, that Nubian hair can be a little steep in prices.
Hello I would like to buy the meches but I find them not in France but could you give me another brand of meche that gives about the same result as the meches you used to make the hook? please
OMG ...... Please help me .......I tried to do the kinky twist like yours and it turn out like a natural thick wig without the twist. Now how can I achieve that look you had when you first started?
I have been trying to locate this hair and the only thing I am coming up with Freetress Equal Synthetic Braid-Marley Twist (Jamaican Twist braid).....Is this the same hair? The name makes it seems like it wouldn't be a soft twist like yours appears to be. HELP A SISTER OUT! lbvs! Thanks!
I'm a beginner with this protective hair style thing and I just want to be able to do something with my head when I can't afford to pay someone to do it. I really need your help to accomplish this hair style. Please help I really want this look. I work in a warehouse where it's hot and I know it's not healthy for my hair.
I tried to install bc I loved the way urs turned out. Honey, I could not get the twists to stay or appear neat. I'm so disappointed bc I leave for vacation in a week and will have to do my hair while there.
Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. From the sounds of it, you weren't using the correct (kinky) hair that I used to install mines with. I've never known kinky twist hair to unravel no matter if it's twisted neatly or not: it should've stayed twisted. After I created that tutorial, I followed up with more videos explaining which hair you shouldn't use for this look. Many people have watched them all & learned the correct hair to use. Their hair came out fine, & they were 1st timers. Also, on each video I stated that everything I used in the video, would be down in the description box. I even added a link to purchase the correct hair. Again, I am sorry to hear your story, but I went far & beyond to make sure everyone, &/or their stylists understood exactly what to do.
I'm trying it now and I feel like it's not coming out as neat as yours. Did you comb out the hair first? I bought the same brand as you and it's not working well for me right now
Yes. I don't dip my whole head in water (although you could), I cotton dab my scalp with Seabreeze, then apply a leave in conditioner & follow up with an oil. Follow all 3 steps because seabreeze can be very drying.
Try using less hair to install 1 twist with. Have you watched my tutorial on how to kinky twist? I think it would be very helpful. By the hair being so soft, it can feel like you're not grabbing enough hair & you'll end up over grabbing. Even though it may seem like the twist is going to be thin, it won't be. The hair puffs up once you're done twisting. You should never have to use no more than 3 1/2 packs.
hi there I love all the videos if I want my hair done would you do it I live in tn I will travel I need a vacation lol I like the side crochet too I brought a lot of that hair and never did mine people here don't like crochet I love it !!!!! and the Africans be cheating me out of money :( but I appreciate you sharing with me 2 timothy: They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share. thanks tiffany im tiffany too

Hello YOUR TUTORIAL WAS GREAT! I WANTED TO KNOW HOW MANY TWIST (CROCHET) PER CORN ROLL DID U USE?
I bought the hair and I am going to attempt on my daughter's hair Wednesday. She is 7 do u think 24 inch hair will be too much? Also your hair and makeup is always on point!! Great videos.
How do you straighten your hair before cornrows? Do you use heat, straightener or without heat?
Hey I absolutely love your channel and I have tried some of your styles. However, I want to try this style on my daughter whom is 6 years old. What I want to know is what inch would you recommend? Also, did you start your single twist with a braid?
What is the name of the braid? The braid looks so soft and the beautiful end result
Can I curl the ends on the puff twist like the Marley twist?
Your videos look great! You do an awesome job shooting and editing them.
when you finish braiding your hair to the back what did u do with the braids
If you got single twist all around would it be more thicker?
You did s great job on it. Just one question? What brand of hair did you use?
Hi ma'am, I'm currently wearing this style and I love it!! :-). Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
Do you stretch the kinky hair before you braid it to your hair? I love the way it looks on you :-)!
I'm in the process of finding protective styles for my 13 year old twins. We're going to Montego Bay Jamaica, and I know the girls are going to live at the pool. My question is how will this style hold up?
As far as swimming is concerned
Did you separate each piece of hair (the extension) before installing it? If so, how many time?
When you did your cornrows what did you do with the ends of your braids? Did you sew the up vertically or did you take them all across horizontally?
Dominique Richardson I braided the ends together into one big plait; then, sewed it upwards vertically.
Thank you
Have you tried senegalese twist or box braids with this method
Hi love your video. My questions is the hair of the perimeter in braiding those. I'm not sure how u did those. I see the end result. Is there a tutorial?
Zelda J Hi Zelda! Yes, they are single twists. Yes, there is also a tutorial. Check out my channel to see them :)

nvm. ;) just watched one of your videos that answered my question :)
Where did you get your wig
Could i add hair at the ends to make it longer?
Hello I would like to buy the meches but I find them not in France but could you give me another brand of meche that gives about the same result as the meches you used to make the hook? please

Do u wash ur crocheted twist? If so how or show in a video
Yes. I don't dip my whole head in water (although you could), I cotton dab my scalp with Seabreeze, then apply a leave in conditioner & follow up with an oil. Follow all 3 steps because seabreeze can be very drying.
thank you for answering my question. I have another question. How long do you keep your keep your braids in?
Every time I do crochet braids I end up using eight packs of hair how can I do crochet braids without using so many packs?

What's your instagram name?
Hey I absolutely love your channel and I have tried some of your styles. However, I want to try this style on my daughter whom is 6 years old. What I want to know is what inch would you recommend? Also, did you start your single twist with a braid?
I'm in the process of finding protective styles for my 13 year old twins. We're going to Montego Bay Jamaica, and I know the girls are going to live at the pool. My question is how will this style hold up?
As far as swimming is concerned
I think it will hold up pretty good. Although, if they are natural girls, it may frizz up much faster than with relaxed hair. :)
Just a quick question is that human hair
