By rarity, i'm guessing a KPGC-10 Hakosuka Skyline, a C130 Laurel SGX or maybe a Autozam AZ-1. Looking forward to finding out in the next few videos hopefully. Great channel too, was drawn to the GT40 content initially, but have been enjoying the back catalogue too!

I was stationed on I Okinawa with a guy who had a wide body R33 GTR. It was one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen.
As a Aussie is funny seeing you Americans go crazy over these rare Jap cars. we have had them since beginning and are dime a dozen over here. could get skylines and supras for $10,000, knew a guy who imported Supras for $4000. fill a container with engines and 2 cars at a time.

I know that a lot of EVO's were heavily raced in Japan and usually left out to rot after an accident or just too much abuse, so MAYBE a Tommy Makinen EVO V or VI, would be an awesome build!! It's going to be something that no one really expected to be.. early '90s 300ZX Z32. Not the most exotic Z car right now, but wait till you see how these cars skyrocket in value! Anyway, that is what I am hoping for. Love the content E, keep it coming! For the record, I love what you did with your C8 Stingray. Also, the Z06, the Ferrari 458 etc. But for me, it's the JDM stuff that really intrigues me!

@ 4:34 That R33 that is blue up top used to belong to my buddy Essex. It was one brought in from Motorex way back when. I used to work at the body shop that worked on it and helped put it back together. Good to see it in good hands and as usually Top Rank went over the car top to bottom as they do the others. Beautiful skylines. My grail car one day is a skyline... one day.

Best coment of the vid "Its got to be Right Hand Drive and Turbo" Being an Aussie I appreciate the respect you have for the RH Drive cars. If you had added the Manual (Aussie for stick shift) as well then I would have been your favourite fan forever. Because they allowed you guys to register R34 GTRs in the USA about 10 years ago the prices have gone through the roof in Australia. So know I can only dream of owning one. I did direct imports on R32 and R33 manual turbos and loved both of them. I also had a Lexus /Soarer JZZ32 top of the range in its day, 4 wheel steering and a balanced V8. Great vid as usual and a good change from what your normally do,
how are prices for the r34s now in Oz?The R34 prices in NZ has dropped along with the other GTRs,I guess the market has reached its limit.I remember 17years ago you could buy an NSX-R for $US100K and also a Nur Spec R34 GTR for around $NZ100K. I have had quite a bit of JDM cars but now I only got my r32 gtr and gtt caldina lol
Way back when, when I was stationed in Japan (USN), back in the mid/late 1980's, it was the Nissan Skyline and the Fair Lady-Z's that were the local's favorites. Both I believe were in the 2.4/2.5L (NA) straight six engine sizes.

If you know where to look you can find them in US. There are several that some own down in a town Meridian, MS. One guy bought a bunch of them as well as imported their parts when they first became available as well as the 1.1L superchargers for them. Even saw one last night at a cruise in fully painted and custom job.

Condition, engine type, and location are big factors. They're expensive on the east coast here.
@MrMcbear I'm I'm the northeast and I'm not sure on the condition cuz I haven't looked too closely at them and I don't need one. Just seen a dealership sell about 20 of them the past 2 years as I pass it on my way to work

Just saw Gan Turismo and I didn't know you were in it! I was so surprised and happy to see you have a role in the movie, you're a total natural. I did find it ironic that you were playing someone without any actual behind the wheel driving experience, that amused me. I bet you were a consultant on set during the driving scenes! Anyway, you outshined your co-stars and it made me smile to see you there. Also they should have just let you use your real name for the character anyway, since your name is much cooler.

Going to Japan and buying a Nissan R34 used to be a fantasy of mine. There are services that specialize in helping people do that.I saw a video about a place that had a warehouse full of Nissan Skylines.They they had a bunch of NIB parts too.If I was able to do something like that I would try to stay for a few days and go see Akihabara and fun places like that.
if you want a ktruck. my friend was the first importor of them and he has in stock atleast 50, right outside jackson mo. 2x4,4x4, single cab, extended cab, vans , crew cabs, he has over 200 instock at anytime.

I drove the RX-7 you drove in the late 90's, the spring of 1997. I will never forget that car. It defied physics. Buy one, you will not regret it.
I'd love to see what you could do with an Autech Stagea 260RS. Duncan Imports has two of those along with a ton of Kei trucks from different manufacturers. A snazzy little wagon with all the underpinnings and drivetrain from a legend, it would slay and look good doing it.

All kinds of k-trucks on the east coast. In NC, while I was driving from Raleigh to Durham, there was a whole lot of just k-trucks. It was a quick glance but most of what I saw were honda's.
Hi Emelia, don't discount Australia and NZ if you are ok with RH drive. Sth Africa, Indonesia and Thailand have some rare old cars too, Australia and US exported to a bunch of these countries in the day. Love your energy.
I had a good friend who I was in the military with. He decided to get out and lived in Japan for a year or two how he got permission from their Government to do it I have no idea but he bought a car and then came back to America a few years later. It was a sports car of some sort but he said it was CRAZY expensive to ship it and pay the fees associated to get it home he ended up just selling it in Japan and then came home and bought a car here. He said it was over 20k. That was 10 years ago. Maybe he did not do enough research but shipping from overseas gets a bit crazy to say the least. If you are able to avoid those fees and costs you are winning at the start.

I can only think of a couple JDM cars that are really hard to find unmolested that everyone also wants and that is a '97-99 Eclipse or a '93-95 Civic hatchback.

Something tells me it’s an MR2. Because it’s the only one I can think of that you don’t see being imported, hard to find and a big rust away car…. Plus! It’s the perfect candidate for a Ferrari F40 kit car that has been hinted a few times now. Just my thoughts!
I Live in Florida and have a 1996 GT-R V spec Midnight Purple and a 1993 MK4 Supra Silver twin turbo both from Japan. I`ve had the GT-R at one of Cleetus McFarland's events, Car show on the track. Both different driving experiences, mostly stock. Find myself driving the GT-R more. Good luck with your search. Top Rank has the best reputation and a reliable to look.

I’m not well versed on JDM cars... but I know what I like...and I have always had a bit of a soft spot for the RX’s. That Wankel rotary engine is just amazing.... and it doesn’t really have a redline...if it will stay sealed... it is a beast. Now I have always loved the old school 240-260Z... I would have one of those in a heartbeat. All that said, this is about what you want.
A truly brutal R type Nissan(GT-R, Skyline, R33, R34, whatever) would be an awesome addition to your growing fleet of cars. And may make you a little money back in competition(drifting or what have you)...just a thought 😉. I think you should get what you want, Emilia. Something that you are most comfortable with and works well with your driving style. His suggestion of driving it first is a really good one...if it’s possible of course.

I've seen one R34 GTR which is a VSPEC NUR one of the rarest cars in the world. I personally been in a R35 GTR as a Uber ride home and it was awesome. Spec R's are also rare, NISMO's cars 400R GTR R33 and 270R 200sx. Also I spotted a R33 GTR LM version which was raced in 24hrs of LeMans. Also I saw Ford GT40 a few months ago. Keep the good the work that you do guys!!!..

You should check out Melody Road in Japan while you're there, Emelia. Keep your eyes peeled for deals on a Group B.
If you’re having trouble finding the car you want in Japan try here in Australia or New Zealand. All these cars were either available new or we have had them as grey imports for years. With Japanese pollution laws making all cars more expensive to register and insure after a few years they became worthless and we down under started importing them here.
In other words we have a lot of JDM cars here.
You did great in the Gran Turismo movie really loved it one of the best movies ever seen
I think you should find a 240Z, replace the engine with a late model GTR engine from a salvage car and use a transaxle to fit independent rear suspension. The balance would be really great swapping an inline 6 with a V6 and the power would be enough to kill a bad driver.
I know you have done videos with Tj Hunt, go check out his R34 build. Any of the ones you drove would be a lot of fun to drive and build.
Gen 1 Skyline, built classic motor with period parts. Screams to 9000, makes like like 250, somewhat sketchy, very fun. I like the other guy's comment about the Z, though. Devil Z :)

Those Supras with the 2JZ just LOVE to rev, even stock. Plus they can be easily built to make enough horsepower to REALLY get you in trouble!🤣 Same with the R3xx series Nissans. Plus they make all the right noises!😄

A car I really wanna go get from japan is a Toyota Celica gt four st205. Its a rally monster and such an under rated car with cool history.
