On starting line ups I like these 5 1)Williams-she has been getting off to hot starts & in attack mode from the tip 2)Edwards-need toughness to start game to off set Olivia who likes to be outside more & the high post 3)Nelson Ododa - like her defense to stop driving to the lane & passing on offensive end(leads team in assists) 4)Fudd-spreads the court with outside shooting which lets Williams get her drive game going b/c if you help on the drive, Azzi will hit the 3 5)Paige- when healthy obviously(Nika brings the defensive intensity filling in Paige's absence all year Evina - is a great sub. Evina started every game when at Tennessee & almost every game till recently at UConn. She has accepted the sub role as the team has become healthy. She has had several games as leading scorer despite not starting Dorka-is an awesome sub for the bigs. She can hit the outside shots, while doing work inside too. She's a hybrid of Edwards & Ododa, just with 3 pt range. Nika- is the defensive energizer bunny coming off the bench Caroline - this is problematic, ever since she stopped starting b/c of the head injury she hasn't been playing as well. I think starting really helps her. She seems to take longer to get into the flow when not a starter
The Rematch! Villanova band members were yelling We Want UCONN near the end of the Seton Hall game. Be careful what you wish for ... LOL. Heading back to Mohegan tonight and as I mentioned before, there is no clear Winner for the Trophy. Thanks for the shoutout too!
Geno's Juggernaut is starting to roll. March is winning time and it's also when the Lady Huskies are at their utmost dangerous. South Carolina showed their vulnerable. Give us a title shot and see what happens
"Lady" Huskies???? That's a misnomer. These are WOMEN. Not "Ladies" or "Girls!" Do you refer to the players on the men's team as "gentlemen" or "boys?" You don't, do you? So, knock it off. Got it?? Just say UCONN! And NEVER make this mistake again! I'll be watching you!
@@stormyweather9917 Hey ease up sweetheart. I use the moniker "Lady" merely a term of endearment and a show of utmost respect for a group of young female athletes that carry themselves dignified as would true a defined lady. And honestly doesn't it sound better than female Huskies or girl Huskies? We both know the derogatory synonym for that
Edwards had 11 rebounds. I watched the Nova game and they’re not following their shot and don’t get rebounds. UConn needs to continue the defense and the guards need to show up. Paige and azzi need to lock in. Nova/UCONN tomorrow!!! Redemption!
@@alvinbailey2830 I would not mind if Oregon, Arizona, and Louisville all were put in our regional bracket, so we could settle some business on our way to the Final Four.
We are primed and ready, locked and loaded. The seniors want to go out there with a loud bang and the younger players are downright hungry. Geno's right it doesn't matter who we play this time of year. It's all about that late season six game winning streak for all the marbles. Nice to know four of those games will damn near be home games. Thank you very much selection committee. For four years we knocked on the door like they say it's time to kick the mother lover in. Nuff said
With so many different weapons on offense showing out from one game to the next, if their defense stays sharp, UConn will go far. As soon as their defensive intensity fell off today, UConn handed Marquette a ticket to get back into the game. Marquette was not able to capitalize, but a better team would have been. Huskies need to keep on playing four quarters worth of stout defense if they plan on winning in late March.
The conference affiliation rule might keep keep them out of Bridgeport. UConn will be a 2 seed. UConn was #9 in the last reveal(the top 3 seed), LSU#7 & Michigan #8 both lost to unranked teams in their conference tournaments, UConn should move ahead of both to at least #7, which makes them a 2 seed. Iowa State #6 got blown out by 25pts by #5 Baylor so depending on what happens in the B12 tourney, UConn could move ahead of Iowa State to #6 overall
South Carolina's if you look at their stats, aren't a very good shooting team, they just get offensive rebounds & put backs. If you stay near even to them on rebounds you will be close, as several teams have & their 2 losses. Today when it was close they choked, they missed about 5 layups in the 4th & 3 were by Boston. She only had 1 jumper & 2 Free throws in the 4th.

First of numerous paybacks on tap. Nobody gets away with breaking our winning streak in our house

When these two played last month, UConn outplayed Villanova in nearly every statistical category BUT..Villanova destroyed UConn in rebounding.
@@pertjacanape Liv was out so was Carolina I believe.
