Amy is just so good with fast exchanges. That style will usually heavily favor Amy. Lily has to find a way to either use wide enough angles to put it out of reach of Amy or make a very heavy loop into the crossover point to limit Amy's counter attack. Any weak loop will get crushed by Amy. A big positive for Lily is that this went 8-11 in the 7th so it was a very close match unlike previous matches.
It was probably more than double that. But your point still stands. I suppose we could all be doing a little bit better to help this amazing sport grow.
@@LosAngelesTableTennis ..maybe its too radical maybe not .... why not stop all other events during the open singles finals ...that would dramatically increase the number of spectators and project a positive image of Table Tennis
@@HBfixture I'm just speculating here, but i think it would cause a serious bottleneck in the tournaments that are going, plus renting a convention space is very expensive and things have to run on schedule. It would be extremely expensive in time and money to have no other events going on for the hour each final match is taking place.
1 - It's the final of a US Open and absolutely no one thought to move the umpire so we could all see the score? 2 - You have to take care of the forms in the answers that are given. I don't know who is in charge of responding on this channel but it represents an Association and when people make a criticism, those who are intelligent take it into account to improve. Whoever answers here, he doesn't do it exactly in the best way. When they criticized the movement of the camera and the tripod, the answer was what any fool in the street can give, not an Association. I hope this person matures or - otherwise - gives his place to a person with the corresponding maturity.
1) Where the umpire sits is not up to me. I film from the best angle I can get and provide the footage for free, with lots of editing to those who appreciate it. Is it perfect? No, but you are invited to go ahead and film whatever you like and tell umpires where to sit, I'd pay to see it. 2) I'm not sure what comment you are referring to.
Just because Rachel wins does not mean Amy is a worse player than her. These are top 3 American girls who can take a match off each other on any given day of the week.
This is an overly simplistic view of TT - did Amy let Lily have matchpoints after her last two wins over Lily were in straight sets? These are human beings with struggles and emotions.

Amy Wang seems to have a lot of mental strength. Cool as a cucumber whether she wins or loses the point.
No celebrations, no getting mad at herself, she is just purely focused on the next point. I feel like she has a great poker face.
@@LosAngelesTableTennis She is just not trying to hurt her opponent she has another gear. She grew up with the girls from USA watch her at the Worlds.

There were probably people who came and went, or would've watched, but had to play their own events

How many times Lily lost?
This was her only loss in the tournament.
The shaking camera is making me so dizzy
Oh it's not that bad. But skip to the 3rd game If it's affecting you.

So Amy intentionally let Rachel Sung win in the final of u21? She obviously beats Lily Zhang several times and no way Amy is worse than Rachel.

aglee. amy won lily 5:0 in last 5 meetings.
Rachel left-handed style matchup was effective against Amy I believe.
