Grazza awesome, Jealous is the word that comes to mind I have been thinking (dreaming) of doing a similar vid for a while now. Great adventure and great part 1 awesome mate
Hey Buddy, yes been wanting to do for sometime. Such an amzing trip. Already planning my next drift for next year, just not sure which part of the Murrya River - thinking Gunbower to Swan Hill. Thanks again for tuning in.
What a great start to a week on the river with that Beautiful Murray Cod and not a bad way to end Part 1 with another stonker. Awesome job showing just how nice the area along the Murray can be, even if your not an angler.
Hey Larry. thanks for tuning in, yes a great trip an such amazing country!! Thinking of doing Gunbower to Swanhill as the next one. All the best. Grazza
Looked like a great trip down the Murray and something I hopefully get to do one day. Some nice fish on the way too so well done. I’m looking forward to part 2?
Epic trip. If you haven’t already worked it out. The tag number needs to be reported to the Arthur Rylah Institute . There would’ve been a phone number on the tag probably. An approx location and size is what there after. They will send you out a certificate with previous recorded captures and a stubby holder or something. We’ve done a few tagged cod now. It’s good to see such a healthy fish swim away like that
Thanks a million buddy, yes have reported the tagged fish on line, didnt appear to be a phone number on it at the time of capture, will look a little closer next time. Will be very interested to see the history. Thanks Again.
Would love to see a episode on your boat and setup. Good to see what logistics were involved with a trip like this. Great alternative to our annual barra trip. Cheers paul.. Ps subscribed 😊
Would love to tie on a weighted ewg hook onto those balt plastics...John from my lure box uses those religiously. Would 100 % be my first pick for my local mangrove system
Gday Grazza. Same. Have really enjoyed your video. Thanks for posting. Planning similar trip and be great to get an idea of fuel, batteries and how long they lasted etc. cheers
Hey Mate - Sorry I did a video explaining the gear and setup while on the trip, but the SD Card shit itself. Lost it. Might have to recreate but happy to answer any questions, perhaps send me a message on Socials.
How many batteries do u run, and how do u recharge them all to last a week and run a fridge lights motors X 2 etc Gonna use what ever set up u tell me ya using !!
Hey Adam. For the trip I had my normal motor Cracking Batt which only Starts the motor and runs the console Fish finder. For Aux power I had 100ah Lithium Battery which run my Fridge, Radio, Electric Motor, Second Finder, Recharged the Lights, Phone and Cameras. I was running a King Dual Zone 75ltr Fridge, with one side running pretty cold to keep my drinks cold. To keep everything charged I was running a 200watt Solar Blanket on the Top of the Bimini, which at it's peck was producing around 10amps. As we did travel a few ks motoring along the way, I preiousely insatlled a DC to DC Charger running form the Motor Alterator, via the cracking Battery. I did have 2 spares but didnt have to use them. Was pretty cloudy on day 5 & 6, but managed to get through with out using the spares. All my DC to DC, Solar Regualtor, smart sunt is Victron gear, I also run a Vic Tron Smart Sunt (bluetooth Batt Monitor) so I could see at any given time what power was being produced via the solar or DC or both or alteratively being used. You can also monitor everything via a victron app - was a massive help on keeping tabs on the power consulation. The biggest draw down on power is your electric motor. Hence way I decide to bait fish in the sun a few times to generate some power. Hope this all makes since, hope it helps.
@@grazzasfreshwaterfishing your a legend that is so helpful mate, great idea using the bimini to put panels on, I like it!! Gonna comply what u have done!! Thanks for taking the time mate !!
Hey Shane - Mainly fished from first light to late morning, then rested up by downing some bait fishing or putting some K's in to see the scenry. Generally found camp aroung 5, setup then fished to dark. HOpe this makes since, cheers for tuning in. 👍
@@grazzasfreshwaterfishing thanks mate I am thinking about doing the same trip in my hobie kayak but im am a bit worried about the amount of water / alcohol will be enough lol how much did u allow for if u don’t mind answering that question 👍😂
Hey Shane - I took 20 litres of fresh water, and around 60 cans of Beer and a block of Pepsi - most of that was mixed with Bourbon. Let me know if have any more questions. Cheers Grazza
