Great trip Grazza. Would Love a follow up with the event planning, fuel economy, logistics etc. Woild be of immense value to those of us who would love to one day do something similar
I think you said you were sore after day 4. I am usually sore after 1 day of casting lures so good effort 😂. The later section of the trip seemed harder to come by fish I thought it might have suffered more from the black water from the forest but you did manage to catch a few on bait in the end. Do you have any theory?
Hey Brenton. Yes, it was taxing especially casting the big surface lures. As the weather turned the barometer dropped big time causing the fish to slow right down for the last few days. It was expected. That said - had a ball.
What a great trip and an awesome video, the scenery was just amazing. Great work putting those videos together, it is going to be hard to back that up 💜🎣
Glad you enjoyed it. As you would appriacte a massive edit after reviewing hours of footage across 8 days. Happy with the way they came together, would have been nice to catch a few more fish, but exploring the river was amazing. Just tried hard to capture the amazing river within the footage. Thanks again for your amazing support and feedback ❤️
Nice video mate, definitely a trip I’d like to do as well, we fish a lot around Mathoura with bait always do well haven’t had a lot of luck flicking lures but have had some good fish trolling. Awesome stuff mate great content 👍
Hey bud - interesting, Brent who I was doing the drift with who was mainly fishing with bait in hie boat, found it tough. Clarity was really good so I was hoping I get one on the flick. Thanks for the heads and advice. Didnt try the troll, will do the next time I'm in the area. Thanks again for the feedback and for tuning in. Cheers Grazza
Great stuff Grazza I so want to go that one day how did the mozzies were they thick? And would love to know how much fuel you used between Yarrawonga and Cobram mate cheers that was awesome to watch
HI Grezza another great video well done big effort to keep going when the going is tough. After watching your video I reckon I saw you going past me when I was trolling near Strathmerton. Would've loved to catch up but didn't realise it was you and your mate. Might catch you next time 😂 Keep up the good work. 👍
Hey Noel. Yes, going fishing-wise on the back end of the trip was tough, but when surrounded by such amazing scenery, wasn't that hard. Yes understand you didn't reach out as I don't normally fish that area. Did you have any luck? Yes reach out next time, hopefully, we will catch up soon. All the very best. Grazza
@@grazzasfreshwaterfishing Hi Grazza , as that's near home I fish it a lot mainly trolling with quite good results. Hope to see you on your next drift down the river. Cheers Noel
Great vid Grazza. The lure fishing through that area must have been a let down. Theories that black water event went through the area last 2 years may have caused a drop in cod numbers... ?
Hi Michaal. Been ensirped by your surface catches of late 👍. Yes was a little dissapointing, worked it out I roughly put in around 50hrs casting surface without a boof or bite. I strongly beleive it was the drop in the barometer that caused the slow down through Barmah. Interesting as I had no idea that there was a black water event. Thanks for tuning in.
Hey Rebecca. Had 24 litres in the boat tank plus 2x10 litres jerrys in the boat when we left Yarrawonga. Transferred the fuel from the jerrys into the boat tank at Toc, then walked to the fuel station at toc to fuel up the Jerrys. So left Toc with 44 litre on board. This was the only spot we were require to fuel up externially (fuel station). Just had to top the boat tank up once fom the Jerrys once post Toc, and had just over 12 litres left in the tank when I arrived at Barmah. I would suggest taking an addtional 10 lire jerry, just to be safe. As indictaed before I did drift a bit with no motor on while casting lures. Hope this makes since!!
Great trip Grazza. Would

Hi Michael. Yes no problems with the Mozzies, just a view on dark and that was it. From Yarrawonga to Toccumwal, I used 20 litres.
Glad to hear they treated you well and wow that’s really good on the fuel cheers for the feedback mate

Hi Darryn. YEs did a vid on the trip explaining but the SD carded fialed. Will get an addtional one arrnaged, cheers
At want sort of times did you fish and or just drive
How much fuel did you use ?
Good question
Hi Rebecca, used around the 60 litres from Yarrawonga to Barmah - 220+ kms
Did you take that with you or fill up at cobram or Tocumwal
@grazzasfreshwaterfishing maybe do a video on food accessories and stuff you used and stuff you took that you didn't need
