Lesson Plan Masterclass: Constructing a speaking lesson

Join us for the third live Lesson Plan Masterclass. In this brand new initiative, the academic team will guide you through a speaking lesson. As they go through the session, they will be highlighting key teaching points and provide opportunities for customization and ultimately producing a lesson plan while they go. You will see how our team tackle a speaking lesson and bring it to life, ready for the classroom. During the session you will have opportunities to ask questions, challenge the ideas and share your own with the rest of the participants.
This session will take participants through a unit of Gateway to the World, a dynamic 7-level English course for teenagers by best-selling author David Spencer. Designed to be the perfect fit for teachers who want to do more than teach language and the four skills, and prepares students for using language outside of the classroom, whilst simultaneously sparking student’s curiosity and prepares them for external and school-leaving exams. With engaging, real-world content it encourages students to explore the world, embrace technology and inspires them to reach higher. We will look at a unit in detail and examine how the different aspects of the unit can help learners reach their objectives. We will point out the key features and how they can be utilised effectively.
