What if the doors aren’t doing anything after you flip the key 8 times
I had the same issue. I was able to fix by cycling a bit faster the next go round.

It didnt work on mine. Any suggestions anyone? (edit) Make sure you cycle the key FAST. I called the dealership and had to rewatch this video 4 times before I finally realized what I was doing wrong.

I followed the steps, but my buttons are not responsive. I click on the lock button and my alarm sounds.

This was great, but even though I had both my fobs with me when I did the reprograming procedure only the one which didn't work is now working. The original working one lost its program and I can't get it to take a new one. I have repeated the process multiple times, swapped batteries, changed the location of the fobs in the vehicle, etc., and I can't get the other one to work again. Not that big of deal though, the other fob is my wife's.
Can you still program the new remote even if you lost the original one ?? Because I lost my remote.

Student I’m only using the key to unlock my truck. I was hoping to find an answer here. I don’t really know if I can program a new remote.
I have a 2004 F150. I had to shut the door after unlocking it in order for the 8 ignition turns to start the lock\unlock programming event.
09 F150 same here. Worked flawlessly once I closed door
I turned it off and on 8 times but did not lock or unlock then I tried 9 times nothing
Same with mine, anything else to try?

What if the original one got lost, would i still need the original? Or could I just buy an after market one right off the bat and sync it without the old one?

I have an 01 econoline. I tried this method 6 times altering my speed and got frustrated when nothing happened. the last time I did it 8 times and nothing so I kept going. at 10 times the locks cycled and I was able to program my remotes!

Vlad, thank you so much! I couldn't get help from Ford. The other videos and written information wasn't working. Just found your site for the F-150. Been trying for months to reprogram our two remotes for our 2009 Ford Focus and your information worked perfectly! Thanks again for the video and the correct information to turn the key 8 times, not 4 times and not 6 times. Do it 8 times. Then, you'll hear the locks program set up with the locks locking and unlocking then set the remote by pushing a button.
The fobs will remember more than one code. I have a fob that opens a f150 and a explorer. The fob originally was for the explorer but I had 3 fobs for it so I programmed one for my f150, now that fob works for both vehicles. ++

Thank you! No one mentioned about keeping the doors unlocked while doing this. I was trying with the doors locked and could not get it to work.
He did mention door open and unlocked. What he didnt say is keep foot on brake

Thanks. Mine is acting weird. I get my remote to sync(Door locks and unlocks when I press the button on both new remotes)….. but then my door locks don’t respond after setup….. I keep pressing the unlock button on each remote and the panic alarm triggers 😵💫🤔…. Changed the batteries and keep doing the setup and it keeps doing the same thing 😩

How about for 2002 is it the same process
I tried this technique as described: Driver's door unlocked, opened and with the ignition key inserted, cycle the key into the accessory position 8 times and on the 8th time leave it in the accessory position and the door should make a clicking mode, and be in programming mode, correct? It didn't work on my Ford E350, meaning the door did not make the audible programming sound you mentioned after the 8th time while leaving the key in the accessory position on the 8th time. Any ideas why?
It worked great. But when I got out of the truck standing close to it it wouldn't work. Oh I have new battery. 2011 Ford ranger.battery new in fob.
Question is it lock or unlock on both that we press ?
If you have your owner's manual, this is described in much greater detail. Doors must be unlocked with the door switch and cycling the ignition switch has to be done in less than 10 sec.

Oops I turned key 9 times!! Heard the locks click, but it was too many times, I couldn’t get it to work. Any suggestions?
After attempting a few times (as indicated), I was able to program a FOB I got from a junkyard. The tips were very helpful to understand the process.
ON A 2006 f150 ALL DOORS MUST BE CLOSED FOR THIS TO WORK. IT WOULDN’T WORK WITH DOOR OPEN FYI. NOT SURE IF IT WAS JUST MY BUDDIES TRUCK. ALL OTHER STEPS THE SAME!

well I tried it and it only locks my two front doors and back. not the side and it won't unlock and it only works with one remote, not the other, at least it locks 3 doors which it didn't before. I still have to go around unlocking all doors as before. :( I bought and replaced the fuses and batteries to both key remotes and still only locks the front two and ver back. and only on 1 fob, so much for new batteries in both fobs and new fuses!
