Was the Nintendo console a joke? Did you stay over April Fool’s weekend? I see all this phenomenally hard work and effort into curating things from the 80’s only to see a Nintendo Entertainment System TOP LOADER from 1993-95 when there are tons of 80’s era NES Consoles easily available… if anything in my area the 90’s NES is HARDER TO FIND than the 80’s NES design… I genuinely don’t understand, especially when the clientele who book this place are the type to see that and just ask “why?” Especially when it seems like they went out of their way to put a 90’s version of a more available 80’s console… I wish this was an “err-umm actually ☝️🤓” type moment, but it REALLY sticks out like a sore thumb to everyone who owned an 80’s model NES.

I'm from the UK & was heavily into the arcades in the 80's. Even back then I used to imagine how cool it would be to live in a house with an arcade. Staying in a place like this would be a dream come true!
I was an 80s kid too, seeing this brings back floods of my own memories.I was (and still am)completely consumed by Millipede, but never had much money and could only play 5 games at most. It was when I started using MAME late naughties that I started getting skill with the game and now my record stands at 523,000. (with a crappy trackball from Ali). The main reason I am in love with Millipede is that the machine code base is only 16 kBytes, yes that's sixteen thousand, three hundred and eighty-four bytes. That's all it takes to create one of the hardest and fastest games in video game history. Centipede did it in 12 kBytes, but that game is much simpler and easier. Also the color palettes used in the games are really beautiful pastel.
@@JourneyMore Yes, being born in 1970, I lived thru the golden age of arcades and played many of these games from 1980 onwards. Complete flashback. That's why I've got thousands of games today and $10,000 worth of retro gaming books to relive the glory days. Wish this arcade was out in San Diego

I grew up in 80’s arcades! It was like heaven on earth for an 80’s kid! But it wasn’t just the games. It was like an adventure. I wish we had all known we were in a period of time that would change history forever! When you’re in it, it’s nothing. But when you look back. OMG!!!!! The 80’s can and will never be truly recreated. But people like Scott who was smart enough to kept most of his items. They keep history alive for all to at least get a glimpse of what it was like! Thanks for the video. It brought back seriously good memories!

This 80's Airbnb looks awesome, but is missing one element I see in pretty much in all arcades currently. Since I grew up in the 80's, a lot of arcades back then, were a little bit smoky in the arcade environment due to cigarette smoke in the air or people coming back into the arcade after a quick smoke from outside. Had this smoky, dinginess, lived in feel to the atmosphere, that I loved, even though I don't smoke. Be nice if arcades would introduce fog machines to bellow out fog in the air to give that simulated feeling of a smoky atmosphere, to give that more 80's simulated feel of an arcade back then.

I graduated from high school in May 1982 and probably spent $30 a week playing video games in Aladdin’s castle arcade in San Antonio, Texas, for nearly 2 years. I had a part-time job at a home improvement store as a junior and senior and spent most of my money playing video games and going to concerts. My high school was less than 1/4 of a mile from a large shopping mall and I use to spend my lunches and often times, the rest of the afternoon, walking through Sears to get to the arcade and spending hours playing video games. Donkey Kong, Missile Command and Tempest were my favorite games. Those were some great times and are memories that I will never forget. If I could have taken the money that I spent playing the arcade games and invested it, I would be a very wealthy man today. I only live 105 miles from Winston-Salem and I definitely will be staying at this Airbnb very soon. Thank you very much, Journey More, for this AirBnB video review! Everything did, but he actually, surprisingly, doesn't have everything that I remember and played with, HOWEVER, he did have a lot of things! The stereo, some of the arcade games, those little mini-arcade games - I had those! And so much more! So, still, i was a blast from the past and invoked some really cool memories! SO thanks! The 80's were LOADED with MILLIONS of toys, games, gadgets, movies, songs, bands, rides, and super wild and crazy genres of ideas that none of us will ever forget!
That’s awesome! So glad this brought back some great memories! Thank you for watching and commenting Ron! We hope you will subscribe to our channel!😊

The Arcade was like a bar, for kids. They were awesome!
Nice..
This place looks sooooo awesome
It was incredible! We cannot wait to go back! Did anything specific stick out to you Gage?
That small room with Sinistar could also double as a Vintage Board Game Library with all walls covered with 70-90s board games.
Oooooo love this idea! Nikki and I love board games so to have that here could definitely elevate the experience even more!!😁
IMO this is how to handle a large collection: make it available to others to maximize enjoyment.
We agree!😊 And that is exactly what Scott has done which we are so thankful for! It was an amazing experience and we would highly recommend everyone to go one day!
I've been, it's rad! And Scott is a gracious host! :)
We couldn’t agree more! Totally blown away by what he has done! What are your favorite games in the Arcade?
The eighties have the best of everything a lot of these young people today will never understand what that felt like that was an energy that would never come back these days they can't even make the good movies I can't make anything right Especially video games just keep remaking the old stuff because they know the old stuff was the best
It was awesome getting to stay here and experience the 80’s! It really felt like we stepped into a time machine! Thanks for watching Sacha! We hope you will subscribe to our channel and check out some of our other videos!😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Scott is a great guy and to talk with him is a blast - if you are looking for some more 90's Rare Arcade machines to some 1980's hit me up some time.

Wow very cool! I live in Charlotte, NC and would LOVE to take my 8 year old daughter for one of the monthly open houses. Is there a website? I did reach out to Scott on AirBNB but they don't allow you to share contact info and we wouldn't need to stay overnight. Thanks!
Hi Andy! Thank you for watching our video and reaching out!😊 The best way to contact Scott would be through his Facebook page! Here it is: facebook.com/WienersAndLosers
We hope you guys get to go experience it! It is amazing!! You will have to let us know what you think!

Thank you so much for the kind words Will! We loved it and it really gave us an appreciation for the time period! Do you have a favorite game at the arcade?
In 1980's and 90's was my bed, tv, and just a nintendo. No arcades or any of that other cool stuff, except for my beloved dirtbike in the shed. Lol
That sounds like the life!🙌🏼 Thanks for watching!
Wow so cool. I've never stayed in an air bnb before. But I'm definitely booking a stay at this place.
