    I thought Hazo only arranged advanced music. This is refreshing.

    I remember meeting this guy at honor band 7th grade. We played this and a couple others of his in concert. He's an amazing conductor, years later I can still remember his advice. He's very talented it he can make a group of 7th and 8th graders sound decent lol.

    Clarinet / flute interplay at the beginning is not successfully arranged. Still sounds choppy.

    While this is a really nice arrangement, I still prefer Alfred Reed’s version over this one.

    However competent Hazo's arranging is, this has been completely stripped of any character and beauty of the original hymn.
