You're welcome! You'll have to go back. Be sure to watch the overview video on Gold Butte to make the loop trip that will include (but does not mention for various reasons) a stop at 7 Keyholes. ruclips.net/video/Z51trFm5OL0/видео.html
You asked "was there ever that much water rushing through the Nevada desert to create this"....yes, there was...Noah's flood. Full time RVer here...this area is now on our bucket list for this spring when we head out west. Thanks for the videos.
You're welcome and thanks for commenting. This area was underwater for a significant amount of time (i.e. Noah's Flood), however this feature was created by a single flowing flood event at a different time, similar to a slot canyon. Nature is amazing.
Gorgeous😃never heard of this place.I could spend a few weeks here exploring the area in all its beauty nature the tunnels between the colored rock formations I love places like this.Thank you for sharing🤗🙏👋🏼
You all do a great job with your videos! It's great to know how to get there and what you find when you get there (we've watched multiple of your Gold Butte videos)! We are going to the area tomorrow and we are very excited, mostly based on your videos! Thanks again!
How is Gold Butte and Mud Wash Rd? Is high clearance enough or do you need locking capabilities? Is the dirt sticky/slippery clay when wet? Thinking of adding this loop to our next trip to southern Utah.
We did this trip last week and I didn't put the vehicle into 4WD. Whenever you go though, I would check with the Friends of Gold Butte office Mesquite for road conditions.
Thanks for commenting. Flying drones: definitely a no-no in National Parks. National Monuments are managed by different entities with different rules. Like many recently designated National Monuments, Gold Butte is managed by the BLM. I asked the management team there and there are currently no rules on drones. It is also a very remote area where you rarely see people. My rule of thumb anywhere before flying a drone, is there people nearby? If yes, I don't fly it.
Thanks a ton for the info! I rarely take mine anywhere nowadays because of the "people" issue you alluded to. It's a shame, but it is what it is... Again, great vid and an area I have to see...
Thank you! No, the drone video is only in the beginning. The video footage inside the keyholes was done with a gimbal and the reason why it is so smooth.
I've been to Gold Butte many times. How did I miss this! Thank you. Another adventure is in the future.

Thank you! Hope enjoyed your trip. You probably had good weather other than the wind.
Thank you for the amazing videos. Much needed inspiration during these times.
Glad you like them!
Drone footage is awesome
Good to hear, thanks!

Awesome videos!! So well done. Thank you!
Glad you liked it, thanks for commenting
How nice!
It is a nice place...
Great post! I really liked the use of the drone to show the hike and surrounding area. Hoping to visit and leave no trace someday.
Thank you. Yes, the drone is a new addition to our bag of tools.
Great vid! So professional. These formations look to be very, very old. Cheers!
I missed this for some reason. I guess I didn't know about it. I was at Little Finland, but didn't know about this place. Guess I'll have to get back.
Nice job! Happy Easter to you! Rox

Nice I wish to visit that place
Love this!
Great, very informative vid! Just curious, I have been told that it is not permissible to fly a drone in a National Park/Monument. Am I wrong?

Well my upcoming visit to GB just got more interesting.
Was this shot recently? It must be hot out there. We have a heatwave in SoCal.
Yes. About 3 weeks ago. It's in the 80s out here.
Is this on the same road I took to get to Little Finland? Beautiful! Thanks
Not really, but initially yes
Wonderful video, were you by chance flying your drone inside the "Keyholes" at anytime?I can tell your using a wide angle hand held camera.
Thank you! No, the drone video is only in the beginning. The video footage inside the keyholes was done with a gimbal and the reason why it is so smooth.
@@BackRoadsWest1 I'm going to have get a gimbal, what brand and model are you using?
Is there a big temperature differential inside the keyholes vs. outside?
No, just the shade
11:51,why not go up that?
Drones prohibited in Nat. Monuments!
Gold Butte has no drone policy, plus I asked permission.
Thank you, we´ll try...
Whose music? Nice production.
