I used to love listening to a lot of music in the 90s etc.. I dislike rap and hip hop due to the things you stated but also generally because I like music that makes you feel good like trance and believe it or not classical like Beethoven etc. I didn't like classical music when i was younger but these days when i hear it I understand why it is so popular.. because it helps you feel peace and helps you think also. but regardless of this I don't actively put on music to listen to except maybe some trance at the weekends when want to play a game on my PC and i don't like the soundtrack of the game.. even now when i hear loud music i constantly turn it down because I feel its noisy and annoying but when i was younger I didn't mind loud music.

Pozdro

Głos rozsądku, jestem muzykiem i wiem jaką ewolucje przeszedłem przez ostatnie 30 lat, wiem jak muzyka szkodzi najmłodszym, szczególnie muzyka nowoczesna, nowoczesna muzyka klasyczna nie jest lepsza, zakłuca pracę mózgu. Muzyka może byc przyczyną intelektualnego kalectwa.

i sooooooooo agree, in a way all the songs that i listen to makes u enjoy things less, and i think all modern songs are like this, see when you hear a sound coming from a TV vs A sound coming from somebodies mouth, they sound so diffrent for some reason, even if its a high quality speaker, the sound doesnt feel humen, songs are like this now, with all the piano, guitar drums and edits, they dont sound authentic,,, there is a song i have been listening to for days its called qele qele by komitas and it sounds humen for some reason , maybe cuz its very old and sounds like someone in their room singing.

It depends on the genre, or the actual song.
And I was addicted to h*r*in for 20 years. Music has helped me rid myself of this. Music is definitely not an addiction, but even if it was it would be the best addiction you could have.
    Like Shakespeare said "Play on"

      Almost everything can be addiction.

Best addiction you can have is working out on gym, reading, meditating, praying etc, music gives you nothing except instant gratification, and I don't say its always bad, but its bad when you are so dependent on music that you cannot even go for a walk alone and listen to yourself. I definitely agree that music don't harm us physically, but it can definitely make you lazier, weaker and less motivated if you listen it all the time.

@@omeydan2002 best addiction you can have is having no addictions, working out too much is bad for your health, the rest is as "bad" as music - except, while listening to music, you can do other stuff. Music is literally a must have for creative minds, if you think music is just "instant gratification", then you literally don't get music, you just see it as something fun, but you can't see any other values in it, as expected from someone too much into self-improvement, you guys tend to be very limited to "gym, reading, meditation", everything else makes your brain melting xD

@@RecenzjeHorrorowPrzemcio Yes I ve exagerrated a little bit by saying that music is ONLY instant gratification. Entertainment in moderation is completely okay, but you don't understand difference between addiction and doing something in moderation. Do you think its normal to wear headphones all time when you are outside and masturbate your mind constantly with music or podcasts? Nowadays we are bombarded with all kinds of information and entertainment and sometimes its simply good to spend some time in silence, so later you can listen to music by choice not compulsion or habit.

@@omeydan2002 I completely agree, but my comment came from the "only instant gratification" stuff, it was just depreciating an art, which music is. Self-improvement videos tends to massively devalue stuff they're talking about how bad for you they are, especially when it comes to video games, but to be honest, it's a first time I see something like that for such harmless stuff like music xD
That said, there's not a single thing on the world good for you in excess, you can pretty much make a video like that about everything - yes, including gym, reading, meditating, grinding and everything that self-improvement people tries to push as the only way to live. Balance is needed for everything, even self-improvement.
