Steam on the Swindon & Cricklade Railway

  • A sunny Sunday the 24th March 2019 on the Swindon & Cricklade Railway and the first steam running day of the season. Trains were being hauled by 1941 built Andrew Barclay 2138 Swordfish.
    A points problem at Hayes Knoll saw Swindon built D2152 from 1960 attached to the other end of the train to enable push/pull running.

      Many thanks for the comment, Dave. The S&CR has been on my list for some time and I finally managed to get there. I will have to make a return visit as time was against me to do the section from Blunsdon to Taw Valley Halt.
