If my children toss family photos into an estate sale after I pass instead of keeping those treasures I will come back and haunt them
THIS is a good point. I often wonder "Why did someone toss out a BABY picture?" . Truth be told: some people (family members) ONLY want the gold jewelry and whatever has VALUE . As well as some people HATE their families. I worked at an estate sale and my friend who ran the estate HATED his brother - he threw out all his baby photos and birth certificate , 1 year old baby cards, etc. etc. It was pretty sad. He also got rid of a handmade quilt made by his own grandmother Who would do this ? I rescued the quilt and got it to a collector who loves it.
Honestly I am the last of our family and I have a lot of photos, only problem is I have noooo clue who some of the people are, and my kids are not interested in them so I don’t blame them if they get rid of the ones they don’t want
I am writing names to the back of photos some I'm guessing at but most likely am close
Hearing that fight is hilarious! If people wanna spill their personal business in public, I'm gonna be listening! 😮 The photo albums made me kind of sad though. 😔

I so enjoyed seeing the chunky rock candy lucite hanging orange lamp.
I, too, love the old greeting card graphics. I have starting making new cards by cutting out some of the old graphics and glueing them to blank new cards.
You can go thru so many emotions when someone passes.....someday they may regret not keeping the photos !!!
So sad that there was no family wanting the photos.
Very cool finds girls 😀 it does make me sad though when I see incredible family photo albums that are just stacked there instead of cherished by family 😢

So much fun to see that those houses had not been remodeled. Homes used to have so much style and attention to detail built into them. They just don’t do that anymore. I hope somebody buys that house, and just cleans and restores all of the original stuff. I even love the creaky floors😂🤣that might bother some people but I love it. it kills me when someone goes in and tears out all that originality and replaces it with modern, generic stuff. Loved seeing all your cool finds too.
It is sad when family photos are at estate sales. It makes me think this person didn't have family that wanted them.

I use to love buying stationery sets in the 70s.
The house I grew up in back in the 1960’s & 1970’s had a weird window configuration when we moved in. My parent put up one of those murals between the windows. Finally in the 1980’s,they put in a picture window between the two windows instead of the mural. Fun to see one at the estate house though.
Wow, you found some really neat stuff and old items. Those vintage photos were amazing. I love Vintage cards, vintage Halloween and Vintage Christmas. Love old tins and molds, and cookie cutters. That old stationary and old books were neat. Your dino collection is cute.
At the time stamp10:52, a little brown box was pulled from a drawer. I was immediately transported to the shelving unit in my bedroom on Sugarloaf Drive in the 70s. I had that exact same little box. My sister had one too but, with a different image. I don't know if you realized that was actually a music box. You pulled the little wooden ball on the bottom & it played music. Mine played the theme from Love Story. I was hoping you'd purchased it. What a crazy feeling that was! I'm so glad I, at least, got to see it!

I love watching these estate sales that you two film because of the long forgotten memories they bring back! When you held up that sweatshirt! Ahh! I had completely forgotten about ACA Joe! It was a sort of sporty clothing brand that was acceptably “cool” for teens to wear in mid 80’s. Watching your videos, it’s often: “memory unlocked” 😊

My Grandparent's had a wall with a mural it was like a nature scene of the woods in the Fall. When I think back to all the kitschy Halloween, Christmas and other Holiday decor they had OMG!!!! My Grandmom had! She ALWAYS went nuts decorating for the holidays and if I had that stuff now, I would be filthy rich! Ugh 😟

And hotel / restaurant related. Also the guy could be well know in the music circles. WIN/WIN with stuff like this . Easy to ship / store / mail.

As a genealogist I can't believe they left those albums and old pictures out.
Yeah but I don't want other people's vacation photos either. Even if they are a relatives. My parents have so many pictures of random religious shrines from family. But those old photos I would love to have some of those from my family.
