- Welcome to the second video in our Greece series! Today we are getting out of the city and starting our road trip through Greece's mainland! We are heading northwest to the ancient site of Delphi and then we continue on to a place you’re going to have to see to believe!
Resting on the slopes of Mt. Parnassus is one of our favorite ancient ruin sites, Delphi. Ancient Delphi is considered one of the most important sights in the ancient world and was the site of the oracle of Apollo. What we truly love about this site are the incredible views you are able to enjoy as you hike up the sacred way learning about all of the history!

It's nice to see people visiting mainland Greece, as opposed to the islands only. Greece is a mountainous country, but the mountains are always overlooked in favour of the beach destinations. Hope you enjoyed your trip here!

I did a similar trip in 2018 - I also was upgraded to a BMW. Must be a thing! Made driving around Greece that much more fun. Most surprising thing was the roads being in such great repair, way better than in the US.
You lucked out too! It made the trip way more fun! We also couldn’t believe how great of shape the roads are in compared to back home!

We got pretty lucky with the car! The scenery is pretty amazing! The ancient ruins on that mountain with the views 😍 You can see why these choose that location all those years ago.

I always get so happy to see people like and appreciate my country, but not too many people visit Greece during winter and as a Greek, I can tell all these small villages def worth the travel!

i hope im not too late to inform you that if you are still in Meteora you should definetely visit the villages Pertouli & Elati which are quite close. One of the most beautiful places in Greece for me.

Developed in the 8th century B.C., the sanctuary was home to the Oracle of Delphi and the priestess Pythia, who was famed throughout the ancient world for divining the future and was consulted before all major undertakings.

Great video and great setting. I wonder why you didn't ask for more bread? Next time you are in Greece, you should definitely go to Epirus (Zagori, Vikos gorge, Voidomatis river and many stone bridges, just ask the locals) and drive around the Peloponnese (Epidavros, Olympia, Mystras) , Nafplio, Mani, Ancient Messina, Polylimnio, Monemvasia, Kalavryta with the cogwheel train, Dimitsana, Lake Tsivlou).
Whaat? 7€ per day and you get an upgrade to a BMW? 😮 I think Sixt knew you guys were coming and wanted to sponsor the video haha... The scenery is breathtaking, wow! The food looked awesome, especially the Risotto I have to say 🤤🤤.. Loved the video! 😊😎
We lucked out on that car rental! It was such a beautiful drive and those ruins on the mountain 😍 It was nice to treat ourselves with a nice fancy meal every once in a while! Appreciate all the love and support 🙏
Interesting, we're looking to do this trip as well and I'm considering the train versus driving. Can't beat the freedom of having a car though.
We have heard people doing the train and we love train travel but we had a big road trip planned so we opted for the car! Always pros and cons!

I got the same free upgrade from a normal sedan to BMW M4 because they ran out of the regular car. But I was driving it in Texas, not as much fun.

Hey guys! I have been binging your videos for the last 2 hours, great work :) Can you elaborate a bit more on the 7$ dollars a day car rental? Because for Athens Airport Sixt the lower i can find is 27 euros a day for off season. Do you have some kind of special deal with your airplane tickets?
They went there in late february. They also kep the car for 10 days? Or more
Really you rent a car for 7 euro? 3000 klm last summer. From Thessaloniki to monembasia. And you have to go there. And then neapoli and elafonisos 10 minutes ferry. Best beaches In Greece and nice tavernas with sea local food
